Some spirits are fairly gregarious and get on well with most mixers, but in my experience this gin from Eden Mills is rather more particular. Pair it with the wrong one and the party will very quickly fall flat. What it really hates is the company of a cheap tonic, and anything containing artificial sweeteners instantly jars with the particular flavour profile of this gin. So, do make sure you pair it with Fever Tree or one of the other growing band of high-end artisan tonic waters. My first experience of this gin was 18 months ago when I visited St. Andrews. It was just so different from the gins that are household names and have been around for years. I thoroughly enjoyed it and have given it as a present to friends, who also now buy it. One recommendation - it's even more spectacular when the mixer is Fever-Tree Tonic Water. A match made in heaven!

If you like a ‘quality gin’ this is the one. Very smooth, the buckthorn gives the gin that unique flavour, all in all the original is a very impressive gin, we served the drink with a slice of grapefruit and 1724 tonic and like our guests we very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the gin.Bottle is also impressive, well done edenmill.
