My first impressions of the Phillips 6000 wet & dry shaver were very positive.The shaver is lightweight, sits comfortably in my hand and is easy to manoeuvre. It is also almost silent.It gives a nice close shave on the first pass, no need to go over areas again and therefore gives a quick shave. More importantly, there was no skin irritation or redness afterwards. Multiple heads and springs allow it to follow your natural contours really well. The SkinGuard mode is accessed by a button just underneath the power button and this reduces the power of the blades helping to protect the skin. This doesn’t appear to affect the cut in any way which is great.I have used both the wet and dry shave andthe wet shave does give the better close cut shave but this is to be expected.The shaving head comes away from the main shaver with a firm pull to allow the attachment of the two accessories that come in the box. One attachment being a nose trimmer and the other a precision trimmer for sideburns etc. The attachments are a bit fiddly to fit at first but once fitted, they are secure and you soon learn how to fit efficiently.The shaver has an led display for info on battery life, when to charge and when to clean. The shaver gives you 60 minutes of cordless shaving and takes an hour to charge from empty. It is easily cleaned by rinsing underneath a tap.Accessories include a nice hard travel case, cleaning brush, power lead with shaving plug and the two attachments mentioned above.Overall, a great shaver [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

So i got this for my other half as when ever he has a shave he takes longer than a woman getting ready to go on holiday. When it arrived it was in a nice box and the instructions were easy for him to follow which lets face it he could do with just pictures. Anyway he had decided to grow his beard for a few days before he used this to really put it to the test. The only thing he put to the test in them few days were my nerves as all he did was itch and looked like he had nits in his beard, anyway the day finally arrived when he decided to use the shaver. He had charged it and read the instructions so he was confident. He then had a brain wave where he would have half his beard of dry and then the other half whilst wet,again this was his bright idea.So he goes into the bathroom and proceeds to shave half his face of with the shaver dry. For the next few mins all i could hear was wow, omg this is fab.Then he did the other side whilst wet. And again he thought this was fab. He then made me touch his face to see how smooth it was. And yes i agree it was very very smooth and his face wasnt red or anything like that. And according to him its the best shave he has had. He agrees that it is very fast and smooth and that it glides across his face and does not irritate. The reason i choose a five star rating is because of all the 23 years shaving with other top branded razors and shavers creams gels and other potions the Philips Shaver series 6000 Wet and dry electric shaver S6680/26 MultiPrecision Blades Anti-friction coating MultiFlex Heads Guard Mode ....Left no rash what so ever nor did it make me come out with any puss filled blisters or soreness.I also liked that it was a very close shave and unlike other shavers where you have to repeatedly go over the suface area which makes the skin very sore for but This shaver i only had to do it one time which is amazing and well worth it .The instructions were easy to follow .The charging time was quick IE 1Hour The heads pull off with ease to change from shaver to trimming and also easy to clean .The wet and dry shaver also comes with a small brush to clean the heads which with the shaver head it flips up with a push of a little button to clean inside.If using it with a shaving gel/foam you can rise with warm water .but with ease and killing 2 birds with one stone The Dual Filter system cleans hair, foam and gel. ... The unique double filter prevents hairs from clogging your shaving heads, maintaining your shaver's excellent performance. ... The best electric shaver I have tried to date.From the first test I could feel the difference and the heads seem to cut my stubble down to nothing in far less passes than previous shavers. The body is also slightly more compact and extremely comfortable to hold.The LEDs that fun down the front are a nice touch and allow you to keep an eye on the battery level as well as letting you know when it's time for a clean.The trimmer head works well for tidying up edges.The heads easily pop off the body with a small effort and sit firmly once attached.Cleaning is easy as you can just press a button to let the head pop open and rinse it out.For your money you also get a rather large charger/cleaning device.You get a nice travel case to keep the razor protected when travelling as well.The instructions you get are all via the medium of drawings and are a little obtuse in places. If you're wondering what the secondary button does, then it reduces the power of the blades, slowing them down a little for sensitive skin.I have fairly sensitive skin but have had no issues using this on full whack either for a full shave.You can use this in conjunction with foam if you wish but it still takes a while to get a full smooth face.All that said, in terms of performance, I think this is an excellent razor and top marks for overall performance and presentation. I have been using this shaver for a week now and have found this product to be good! The charing time is an hour and the batter life is very good. I shave each day and over the week period i had to charge around 3 times.It was my first time using a shave of this type so it did take a bit of getting use to. Overall I was satisfied with the design but did find it a bit difficult with maneuvering it around the facial hair i wanted to keep i.e moustache and sideburns. The product comes with a protective carry case which i really liked. With the accessories that are included, the nose hair trimmer was very good and done exactly what I wanted it to do.With the precision trimmer I found this not to be any good at all and difficult to use when attached to the shaver as the shaver was too big to for the tool and i could not see what i was doing in the mirror. I had to revert to using a manual razor for this. With that said I would recommend this shaver if you like a full clean shave as it cuts smooth and clean and makes easy work of shaving. If you want to trim and neaten up you facial hair such as your moustache and sideburns then this is not practical to do so. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

My partner has used this shaver now for a couple of weeks & it has made a dramatic difference from his old outdated shaver, The shave is so comfortable with no pulling or rubbing & has left his skin smooth & irritation free. The shaver charges quickly & lasts several shaves off 1 charge & doesnt compromise on shave quality as the charge runs down. It works well on both a daily shave aswell as a 2-3 day stubble, he prefers to use it dry although it works as well as a wet shaver & has handy trimmers for sideburns & nasal hair, comes with a nifty little travel case to keep it clean & dust free & a display that takes the guess work out of charging & cleaning.He found the skin guard mode a little too gentle for a close shave but suffered no irritation using it in normal mode. It is a stylish & comfortable shaver that has easily surpassed his old one for performance. The only downside is it comes with a 2 pin plug, which meant with having no adapter or 2 pin socket we had to go out & purchase one & we could not see any information on this product or box that was supplied to make the purchaser aware of this. I find that the Phillips Series 6000 Wet and dry electric shaver is so easy to use and gives me a comfortable shave. I prefer to use it either with shaving foam or in the shower and find this gives me a closer comfortable shave with less irritation. I have now discarded my older electric shaver which was noisy and regularly left me with nasty rashes. The shaver unit itself is not heavy making it great for travelling and with the battery life lasting more than a fortnight it’s great for holidays as there is no need to bring the charging cable. It’s very easy to remove the shaving attachment which just clicks off letting you quickly change to the precision trimmer for sideburns etc.To clean the shaver it’s only a matter off running it under the tap I found best done after every shave. The built in indicator is a handy little feature which flashes orange letting you know you have one shave left and it’s time recharge the battery. Overall I found the Phillips Wet and dry shaver gives me a good close shave without irritating my skin in half the time and would definitely recommend. I generally wet shave but love that I have the option to do either with this shaver. I switched from a cheaper product looking for something that causes less irritations when used daily. Upon opening the box it’s a nice piece of kit and easy to use. Wet shaving it saved so much time and created a clean smooth shave. No more missed bits and my skin felt amazingly smooth.I decided to try the dry shave while short on time and although I prefer a wet shave it’s nice to have an option on days I need it. Again it was smooth and no nicks or irritation.With a quick charge time and decent battery life and battery indicator it’s no hassle and doesn’t need charging daily.I use it with skin guard mode however found irritation minimal without it anyway.The smartclean system is a good idea, easy to use and certainly helps keep the shaver in good condition.It’s easy to clean and maintain and the precision trimmer is perfect for the awkward bits. Initial impression of the shaver was good when opening the box, with it being well packaged and the product feeling good in my hands. I was a little apprehensive as previous electric shavers either didn’t leave a close finish or left me with razor burn, including my previous shaver from another leading brand.Charging was quick, although there was a little bit of charge in the shaver to start withWhen I turned it on it seemed very quiet compared to previous shavers so I wasn’t sure if it was actually going to be any good as I didnt think it was going to be powerful enough. However I needn’t have worried as it was really good, although not quite as close as I’d have liked.On the plus side though no razor burn though. The slower speed may have helped a little here tooThe attachments also seemed to help produce a good finish.Overall I was impressed and so would recommend to others. I consider myself quite familiar with electric shavers and have gone through many in my time. The problem i always had that my shaving time would take too long and my skin felt extremely irritated for a full day after it. The Philips Shaver 6000 has multi precision blades that are easy to glide around the contours of my face. The shaver is not heavy and is easy to handle. Another positive is the LED lights that lets me keep track of battery life. Although it does take a while to get used to using the shaver, the benefits are so worth it. The shave i have now is so comfortable and its great that i don't have to go over an area twice. The blades are so effective,my face is smoother and i can go a couple of days now without needing to shave. I love the fact that i can pop open the heads of the shaver and clean it quickly and effectively by rinsing it under the tap. A great shaver overall has made my morning routine so much quicker. My partner has recently been trying this out, and so far, he's pretty impressed. He loved how the instructions were simply laid out in pictures requiring little/no reading! The shaver itself was really easy to use, although it did take a bit of getting used to. In the beginning, he was pushing the shaver a little too hard, causing it to drag the skin resulting in a rash. Once he lightened his touch, the results were very different. The key with this is to not push against the skin, and take it slowly. This way, the shaver glides over with ease, and gets most hairs first time round. My partner has quite a small, thin face, and did find that not all rotars touched his skin, which made it slightly difficult for him.The ability to use as both a wet and dry shaver is a great added feature, and he quite liked that the trimmer was detachable.All in all, a good quality shaver which comes in a handy, hard pouch. I have used this product on several occasion testing the various growth lengths and found that it works best at growth between 1 to 3 days any longer requires the use of the additional attachment. I would suggesting that the attachment could be slightly wider covering a wider area especially when growth is more than 3 days as it does take longer to get accurate results. However, am impressed with the product and will be recommending it to other as I found it easy to use and effective. One further point would be the charger, I appreciate that the product is a shaver and it mostly used with 2 pin shaver plug points however I don’t have one of them Which caused issues in charging the product fortunately it was the same charger from another device so I had to use that.If the design could be adjusted to accommodate both mains and 2 pin the that would be great... overall a fantastic shaver [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

I have given this shaved a 5 star review as it ticks all the boxes for me when it comes to personal shaver. It is efficient, quick, easy to store, quick to charge, long lasting. It works perfectly on my hair and leaves my face feeling very smooth. My wife even commented that my hair after shaving feels very smooth, even better than when using a manual shaving method. I love the fact that I can use this shaver in the shower and also that it has a interchangeable heads with the hair trimmer and nose/ear hair trimmer also available. I used all aspects of the shaver and I cannot fault anything. i have been using the shaver every day for the last 3 weeks and I am extremely happy with the results.I would highly recommend the product to anyone who is looking for w new shaver. I really wanted this shaver to be “The One”. But after using it almost daily for a while, I’m sad to report that the verdict is still out. Is it the best shaver I’ve ever tried? Possibly yes, But is does it tick all the boxes? Not quite. Yes it’s fast charging and yes it removes the majority of my stubble fairly quickly, but I do find there’s a few stray hairs left behind, trying to remove these pesky hairs isn’t easy, the first couple of times I used this shaver I tried so hard I left myself with serious skin irritation. Now I tend to do the job with this shaver and then give myself a quick once over with my old trusty Wilkinson sword (only adds a few seconds to my shaving routine and is stillprobably quicker then any other electric razor I’ve ever tried [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
