I've always hating shaving but loved a smooth face. The constant cuts and rash just drove me to distraction Likewise what was the alternatives there are various blade shavers wet shavers, shavers that could shave my head, dry shave, wet shave, shave in the shower. Wow I just wanted a shaver that I could trust and be comfortable with. Well thanks to PHILIPS PQ2013/17 I have rediscovered my LUV of shaving. A simple razor that shaves. It is compact, a snug fit in the hand works on batteries no cords or connections, no multitude of functions, flashing lights, bells or whistles, no this shaver just glides smoothly over my face getting the job done and delivers a proper 1st class shave. It takes up no room in your luggage if travelling and is very compact in it's own little pouch. A nice feature is this little shaver does a neat job when that 5 o'clock shadow appears when you just might want to freshen up before going out on the town. It is comparatively quick to shave or you can linger and just enjoy the experience. A must have

Small, flat, no protrusions, so packs easily in a suitcase or rucksack for travelling. Nowhere near as susceptible to accidental damage as the three-head shavers. The AA cells are available everywhere, there's no worries about matching plugs and sockets, the local supply voltage, or power failures.Only one little niggle. The later versions come with a hard case that protects the shaver well when not in use. But there's no room in it for the little brush that is supplied for cleaning! Earlier versions came with a case big enough for both shaver and brush. This retrograde step is what prevented me giving the shaver 5 stars for ease of use.If Philips make the case bigger in future, can I have enough space for a spare pair of AA cells as well as the brush, please?

What I wanted was a shaver to fit in my backpack, run on AA or AAA batteries and give an acceptable shave. This one does it all, and more. It came with a case that fits the shaver very snuggly and will protect it from travel damage. If careful you can just get the cleaning brush (supplied) inside the case. One criticism is that perhaps room in the case for a spare set of batteries would have been nice but meh. Build quality was as expected of Phillips (good) and the shaver is quite quiet in use. It is however a bit slick in the hand and tries to escape from the case too, so dropping it is almost inevitable.Overall pretty pleased with it, go buy one.

Well went on holiday and forgot my main Philips shaver.Beard was getting worse so off to buy one of these. I was seriously impressed, it came with the batteries pre-fitted and inside its own little case and within 10 minutes of use it had successfully stripped my ugly mug of an even uglier bearded mess.So what can I say but an excellent choice and now I look less ugly than I did a few hours ago, 3:00pm, 23-05-2017.It now stands in pride of place as my main shaving device for holidays as it is much more convenient to use. To finish it is my best buy for a very long time. (thumbs up smiley here)

I purchased this Shaver for a recent holiday. I was flying with Ryanair who have weight and size restrictions on Luggage so in that respect, it was perfect. As soon as possible after my arrival I purchased 4 extra batteries because I thought I would need them but I didn’t. I had 6 excellent shaves on the original batteries and it was still going strong when I returned to England. This shaver will certainly be accompanying me on any future holidays. One slight criticism, the cleaning brush doesn’t fit in the carrying case.

Bought mine in a bit of a hurry, prior to boarding the cross channel ferry at Dover after realising I had left my shaver at home. I was amazed at how well this little pocket shaver performed over the following two weeks. It really is a great little shaver providing you don’t need to trim and sideburns etc. Mine is now nine years old and lives in my car's glovebox. It still performs as well now as it did when I took that continental trip. Just change the batteries and clean regularly and it’ll go on forever.

Had to get my sister a ladyshave so picked this up for myself while I was browsing the site.Good little shaver and cuts close.Only issue (to lose a rating star) was I found the cleaning brush to be missing but could not be bothered to drive back and complain - so good job it was not a gift as I would not have know it was incomplete. The batteries were already in it which I thought unusual but gave it a good inspection to see if it had been used before and could not see any evidence of that.

Replaced one of my two similar philips shavers that I have used for around 9 and 13 years. Oldest one had death of internal NiCd battery. Bought knowing it did not have a pop out trimmer, my older ones did but does take AA size batteries. It is light, good when I am holidaying on my motorbike. The case is also light and modest, does protect well. Alkaline batteries fitted it is holding up well after some use at home and 3 holidays. Gives good fast shave. Easy to pop the top & knock out dust.

This Philips PQ203/17 battery travel shaver is far better than I thought it would be, and much more powerful. Most battery shavers are weak and dont give a close shave, but this is a beauty, and shaved my legs really well, and almost as close as a good wet razor. I loved the 3 round heads instead of one long straight head. Legs were shaved great, however, It made my underarms a bit sore and red , but probably my fault for pressing on too hard on delicate skin. Definitely recommend for legs.

Having tried several travel shavers in the past, and being disappointed with the results, I tried this Philips rotary cordless. This gives a good close shave, and the original batteries are still good after a week's trip away. Overall, very good and well worth the money. One small criticism, the head assembly is not waterproof, so the heads cannot be cleaned under the tap. A simple seal around the drive shafts would fix this and make the shaver even better. Overall, an excellent product.

I bought this for a friend whose husband had difficulty wet-shaving in his old age. It is the modern version of one I use and am happy with. However the new version won't stand on its rounded base. The head cover has fragile little retainers, liable to snap off. The battery cover also has fragile retainers and not permanently hinged like mine. Because of this I think the recipient may not be able to change the batteries himself. The actual shaving ability is as good as my older model..

This brand has been around for eons and having tried just about all the others out there I seem to have found myself back with this makers ever popular pocket sized travel shaver. Don't get me wrong this is not packed with features but it just does the job and handy when on the go or packed in the suitcase to use for either business trips, days away or holidays. Use decent batteries in there and it lasts well along with long life cutting blades this makes it a nice little must have.

This little pocket sized shaver with it's own case is ideal for traveling. It is smooth running with very little noise and gives a close shave. I purchased this to replace a previous similar Philips travel shaver which I have had for over 20 years, the blades are a little on the blunt side now :-)) which cost more and did not come with a travel case, all I can say is that the Philips travel shavers keep getting better. Will have no hesitation in purchasing another one when needed.

Having left my shaver at home I decided to quickly purchase a travel shaver and was surprised how good this shaver was.In fact I now use it as often as I do the main shaver and get just as good results. So far have not had to change the batteries so dont know how long they last but they are standard AA bateries so no problem getting replacements.Only critiscism is the off switch is sometimes accidentally pressed as you are shaving & could be possitioned so this doesnt happen.

An excellent little shaver, the curve shape is brilliant, for the undulating facial features as are the floating heads, and it fits comfortably in the hand.My only negative comment is not about the shaver but about Argos, and this is happening quite a bit lately when it comes to describing products. The description of this shaver claimed it came with a lead for charging, which it does not as it is operated by 2 AA batteries. You really need to start paying attention, Argos.
