WHAT’S IN THE BOX Opening the Braun Series 3 Shave&Style 3010BT, the first thing I was struck by is how compact everything is. You get a full electric shaver, precision trimmer AND basically a pair of clippers in a small box about the size of an A4 piece of paper. The shaver itself is a good, solid size, fairly weighty in your hands but immediately feeling comfortable right away. The ergonomics of the design felt really impressive, and the soft grip was noticeable as soon as I picked it up. I was really pleased with the feel of the shaver. You also get the usual micro brush for cleaning the shaver head, and interchangeable clip for trimming, and 5 different comb clips – from numbers 1 to 5 – so you can style your beard, sideburns, even the hair on your head to the length you want. They come with a small plastic bag to keep them all together, but I didn’t think this was particularly impressive compared with the design of the shaver. There was also no case for the shaver, which could have been a nice addition. You get a standard charger the shaving outlet plug – so if you want to charge if via a regular plug, you’ll need an adapter. I always find this annoying, as I think shaving plugs are outdated – especially in homes. Personally, I think adapters should be included. But I did like the springy cord that was on the charger – this means you can stretch and pull as needed, without having to worry about wires getting tangled – a simple but effective touch. PREPARATION AND CHARGING The charger comes with some charge on it, so you can get stuck in straight away. I also really liked that it does have a quick charge function too – so if you’ve forgotten to charge it but are in rush, you only need to plug it in for 5 minutes to get enough battery power for a full shave. This makes a difference. The full charge is also fairly quick too, only taking a couple of hours, and from what I’ve seen after two weeks of using, the battery power lasts a long time. Even when it starts flashing red, you’ve got a least another couple of shaves before it goes dead. The shaver is best used on dry skin – which means it’s simple to just pick up and start using – ideal for anyone short on time. You can also use it wet as well, so it’s great for use in the shower too. To use the trimmer or comb attachments, you do need to change the head of the shaver completely, pulling off the foil razor and attaching the trimmer head. This is quick to do, but I did find getting the trimmer head off the and foil back on was sometimes a bit tricky – it doesn’t seem to squeeze from the sides as easy as going about it the other way around. Once you have the trimmer head on, attached the combs is really simple – they just slide on or off. Because there isn’t a huge difference between the sizes, you will need to look carefully at the numbers – they’re engraved in black on black combs so could be difficult to read – perhaps if they were white it would be easier. THE SHAVE On to the shave itself, and I have no complaints at all. For the first time with any electric or manual razor, I can completely shave, trim and style my full beard without needed to use two different devices. I use one of the combs to get the length I want, switch down to the precision trimmer to shorten my moustache and define some clear lines, and then change the head to the foil shaver to get a close shave across my neck. The shaver feels great in your hand, a really impressive ergonomic design, and the razor is designed well to glide across the skin – with each attachment doing its job. THE RESULTS I’ve been using the Braun Series 3 Shave&Style 3010BT for over two weeks now, and have been extremely impressed. I love the trimmer and comb attachements – it’s perfect for anyone with a moderate beard that wants to keep it neat and in check. I’ve used both wet and dry, and it hasn’t caused any kind of irritation or blemishes on my skin. The only downside I’ve found is that if you miss a longer hair with the precision trimmer, the foil shaver will likely glide over and won’t get it – so you need to swap back to trimmer head to get it. This can be a little frustrating if you’re in a rush. So with a few minor tweaks and improvements to the attachments, perhaps an integrated trimmer for the hairs you miss, this shaver would be outstanding. As it stands though, it’s still an extremely competent, all in one shaver that does exactly what you need it to. Whatever amount of growth you have – this is the trimmer for you! Definitely recommended. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

At first glance:The razor has a wonderful sleek design and feels very solid and well manufactured, within the box you will find 1 x razor with a foil razor attachment already fitted, a trimming attachment, five combs (1mm, 2mm, 3mm, 5mm and 7mm), a small cleaning brush, a storage bag for the combs, a power adapter and finally a plastic guard for the razor. This seems to me to be a rather generous selection and it certainly feels like you are getting a lot for your money.Performance:I've taken care to allow myself some time to really use the razor before making my comments allowing my self to make use of all the razors features. As soon as the razor arrived I decided I would try it out.At this point I was sporting a rather large beard which for me naturally grows very thick, so I slipped on the trimmer head and slipped on the 7mm comb. Now 7mm is usually lower than I would normally trim my beard too but I decided to be brave, and found the shave to be very comfortable without any noticeable snags or pulls (which is often a big problem for me with razors because of my thick facial fuzz!) and after a few minutes I was done, uniformity was excellent especially compared to my other razors with a very even shave all over, only a few hairs out of place which the razor refused to take, which I feel is very respectable for a very quick shave from a full beard. After waiting another couple of days I switched over to the foil attachment and tried killing two birds with one stone and went for a close shave in the shower. As Braun claims, the product worked excellently in the water with no noticeable loss of function and produced a very nice close shave leaving me with just a hint of stuble left, however I didn't find this shave to be as comfortable as using the trimmer and felt quite a few snags and pulls along the way, that being said the shave was still not uncomfortable by any stretch of the imagination. It also gave me an excellent chance to accuse let test the build quality when I dropped the razor during the shower causing a hefty bang, but the razors was resilient and was left unscarred!Battery life seems very good, and charge time seems to be very short, just how it should be. I decided to time just how long the products battery would last and was pleased to discover the razor seemed to work to near enough full performance (little or no slow down) for 52 minutes on one charge which is actually higher than Brauns quoted 45 minutes. I find this actually rather impressive and it certainly trumps all of my over razors! Conclusion:The razor is a fantastic piece of kit that thoroughly does what it says on the tin, the only thing I have found which is preventing this from becoming my go to razor is that it does not include any combs higher than 7mm!! Which is a huge shame because I other than that I find it hard to really fault the product of you are looking for a comfortable shave and for accurate uniformity in your shaving this product will serve you very well. I've tried many different shavers in the past, but with the removable blades that come with this, it makes it versatile and excellent at the job it is intended for!Several years ago I used to be a wet shaver through and through, but then the woman in my life told me she preferred a bit of stubble, so from that day on, I stopped wet shaving and went to an electric beard trimmer, and I've been through several in the last few years. Therefore I feel I can put forward a decent argument on whether a versatile shaver like this one is good at what its intended to be.I have only tried 4 'lengths' of this shaver so far: the shaver head the precision trimmer with the 1mm,5mm covers and no cover at all.Shaver head: This is what I compare to a wet shave, as it's intended to be the closest shave this shaver can offer. I was actually quite impressed at how good a close shave this shaver gives, but it did find it was tugging a little bit at some of the hair as I moved it round, making it a little uncomfortable. I have actually found this with most electrical shavers and this was no different, but also it was certainly no worse. Overall though I found I never had to go over areas more than once and the shave it gave was pretty decent - in fact, better than other shavers that cost 2 or 3 times as much in my opinion.Next (a week or so later) I moved onto the precision trimmer with the 5mm, 1mm and no cover. This, in my opinion, is where the shaver excelled. With all of the lengths (5mm,1mm and no cover) the shave was even and super quick. It was as efficient as it gets, and no tugging at all in any of the modes. Of course, with no cover on it is a little bit coarser on your skin as you are working with the blades directly, but it still did an outstanding job and is the core reason I hold this as the best electric shaver I have used to date. Not much to say about cleaning other than it was very quick and easy (took a couple of seconds) and as its a wet and dry one it can be run under the tap or just use the supplied comb if necessary. The other thing worth mentioning about this shaver is that it is quite loud. Probably louder than any electric shaver I have used before, but not by a significant margin. It wouldn't put me off using it.Overall, an excellent shaver, that I'm not sure is bettered elsewhere for performance. Only reason for not giving top marks to this is due to a little discomfort when using the shaver head and the louder than average sound it makes [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Right the grooming kit has arrived so what do you get? On first glance the packaging is good and the instructions for use are easy to follow. Included in the box is a trimming attachment, five combs of different lengths 1mm, 2mm, 3mm, 5mm and 7mm, a plastic guard for the foil razor, a cleaning brush, a power adapter and a storage bag for the combs The shaver itself is sleek in design and looks good in your hand and is lightweight. One early potential problem for some is that the plug to charge the grooming kit is for electric plugs found in bathrooms. Unfortunately I don't have one of these plugs in my bathroom.I had this problem with a previous shaver so already had an adapter I bought for this one.I've had a beard for a number of years and anyone who possesses a face full of hair knows that maintenance can be laborious and an annoying activity to complete. So when I was offered a grooming kit I jumped at the chance. I have tried a few in the past and have felt that they all had good qualities but I wasn't truly enamoured with any of them. Before this product I was using one to trim my beard and one to shape, so I was hoping that the functions suggested with this grooming kit would solve this for me.So on to the shave. I have never found a foil shaver that beats a razor blade and this shaver is no exception. The foil just doesn’t get close enough to remove the signs of stray hairs when attempting to shape my beard. Next was the actual beard. It took seconds to change the implements over and I was ready to go. The ease to alter the length of grooming is a great feature and one that I had to experiment with until I found the length I was after. The shaver is really easy to use and extremely manoeuvrable. It glided over my beard and I was really pleased with the end result. Flipping the comb off I then styled my beard and was done. The whole process was much quicker than my usual shave (once I discovered what length I wanted my beard) and all with one piece of kit.The shaver is charged really quickly and the battery life is excellent. I have a shaver that takes 10 hours to charge for 45 minutes of use, this shaver easily beats that. For me there are only two slight negatives to this product. The foil shaver not quite hitting the high expectations I had and the plug not having a mains adapter. Other than this, I think this is a quality piece of shaving kit and a must for beard enthusiasts. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Quickly to start, I got the Braun Series3 3010BT Wet & Dry and had to try it immediately. I had been letting my beard grow out by a bit too much. First of all, the shaver has a bit of heft to it, it feels well built as soon as you hold the thing. So do the attachments, most of this kit feels very well made. I recommend this kit wholeheartedly.I need to get what I didn't like out of the way. The precision head isn't good at getting little hairs off of my hand or shaved stubble. The strangest thing about the precision head though it left weird black marks on my skin. Living in the UK without one of those bathroom plugs for shavers I had to buy one of those British to European plugs. When taking off the heads, the three prongs inside jump up a little making it seem like it might break. Lastly, the shaving heads, apart from being a little tricky to get off, are a little too short for the style I prefer. Four combs, ranging from 1,2mm to 7mm. It's nothing a bit of patience can't fix.The good now, and there is a lot of it. Going from a full beard, a few inches thick and beginning to curl to nice and short took no effort. Put the shaver on charge for five minutes like the box said and I was shaving for the better part of an hour. (Including trying it out on my leg and hand, for testing.) It feels incredibly nice to use, I've tried shavers from 8 to 30 pound ones and they felt shaky in comparison. This doesn't dance in your hand or need to be fought with. I waited until my beard began to lose its shape from the first shave and cleaned it up, the shaver handled it, easy. The shaver takes at most 10 minutes to give you a full shave if you're being picky about length like me, a minute or two tops for a clean shave like I do on my neck. It caused no irritation or itchy spots. I love the kit, despite a handful of shortcomings, I'm incredibly pleased with how well the Braun works. Fine to coarse hairs aren't a problem and using the trimmer head without a comb fantastic on stubble. Cleaning the shaver took less than a minute, because of the flat design. The brush got any hairs trapped inside out in a few brushes as well from the inside of the heads and combs. I've already recommended this to friends with big beards and those who like a clean shave. It's easily the best shaver I've ever used. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

...but what hair I do have has the tendency do be rather unruly. As such, my general "man-scaping" routine varies somewhere between awkward wet shaves, haphazard pluckings, and my personal favourite; leave it until someone complains. So you can imagine my hesitance when opting to use such a professional looking multifeatured piece of grooming kit as the Braun Shave&Style. I have always thought that these electric shavers were the reserve of the real manly men, who I imagine are forced daily to use every bit of available technology to ardously reclaim their cheeks from the constant advances of their lumberjack-esque super-beards. Upon selecting the appropriate attachment I was pleasantly surprised to find how easy it was to get going, and before I knew it, my face was in the most presentable state is seen it in for a while. A mere matter of minutes was all it took to get myself looking clean and sharp, which usually would be good thing, although on this occasion I was left dissapointed, mainly because by this point I was enjoying my new toy, and really wanted to see what it could do. So I took it to the shower.Waterproof? Check. Easy to hold, even when wet? Affirmative. Does it cut through hair like a hot knife through butter? Not the best metaphor but yeah it does! And it's just so easy to use, I even recruited my girlfriend to get at the places I can reach, and for her to use it on me without a visit to A+E after is a testament to good design.I really couldn't find fault with it. An adapter for charging wouldn't hurt, but you can pick one up for next to nothing.Overall I have to say that I'm impressed. I've gone from thinking that if never need an electric razor, to wondering why I bothered so long without one. If you're a regular groomer who doesn't have a lot of time to spare, the Braun does everything you'd need and more. If like me (untill recently!) you think the Braun would me surplus to requirements, I urge you to give it a go. If you have more hair than you want, whether it be one or two, or a whole rugs worth, the Braun S3 might be a real game changer for you, but at the very least will shave a few minutes off your morning routine. The box contains the Braun Series 3 ProSkin razor, a cleaning brush, small bag for the combs, plug, protective cap along with the exchangeable shaver head, exchangeable precision trimmer and, trimmer combs. It comes with 2 manuals - I recommend reading both, especially if you are used to a wet shave and gone over to electric razors. Charging the razor is simple and on first use, charge for a full 4 hours. This will give you up to 45 minutes of cordless shaving although I found it lasted longer than this. The razor itself feels great in my hands, the foam-like sides ensure a tight grip – which is great because it can be used in the shower and bath. The razor is lightweight and made of good quality materials.Removing the shaver head to clean was effortless and took less than 10 seconds to swill under warm or hot water. I decided for the first time using the Braun Series 3 Shave&Style 3010BT, I would use shaving gel, which is recommended (along with foam) in the manual but unfortunately, this didn’t go so well. It’s quite possible I used too much gel and I could feel the razor struggling. I found myself going over and over the same bit of hair.I had to give up on a gel shave and tried again with just water. This was great – The razor glided over my face with ease and gave a super close and smooth shave. I haven’t tried with foam as I don’t own any but would recommend just a small layer of foam or gel first. The precision trimmer and trimmer combs are a delight and super easy to install. Remove the foil & cutter cassette and replace with the trimmer head. The combs are numbered and correspond to the approximate trimming length in mm. I started with the longest and worked my way down to the size I was happy with. I recommend you do the same! The Braun Series 3 Shave&Style 3010BT is an amazing piece of kit, sturdy, water friendly, well-built and lightweight. It offers a convenient smooth close shave with a great range of trimming sizes for your beard. Although I had a slight hiccup on first use, it hasn’t stopped me from recommending this product to family and friends. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

After unboxing the shaver my first impressions on opening the parcel were that it looked sleek and professional. There wasn't too much packaging and most of it could go straight in the recycling bin which was a bonus. I plugged the shaver in to charge (I use an adapter for a UK wall socket) it was a bit loose and needed propping up to stay in the socket properly as the end of the plug is quite heavy. This wasn't a great first impression, but it might work better if you plugged it straight in to a shaver socket. It does hold its charge very well, I've only charged it once in 3 weeks but I don't shave every day.I've used the shaver for a clean shave and for trimming but a clean shave isn't something I do very often. The clean shave was good and smooth, everything I would expect from a good electric shaver. I use the trimmer more often which works well and trims my beard to the level I prefer it. Its easy to swap between the heads on the shaver and intuitive to use. In comparison to my usual shaver this one is a little heavier but its not really noticeable when you're using it, its still comfortable to use. The grooves and changes in material make it easy to grip when you're using it. It comes with a small bag to keep the accessories in which is helpful so they don't go missing. The protective cap fits snuggly and its something I've used a lot when storing the shaver. It also makes it so you can't accidentally turn it on if you pick it up (although you'd have to be trying pretty hard to do that without the protective cap on).I had fairly high hopes for the Braun Series 3 Shave&Style as they have a big presence on the shelves of shavers in the shops. Overall I was pleased with the experience of using the Braun shaver would recommend it to friends and family if it was within their budget. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

The Braun Series 3 ProSkin Razor has a very cool design when you first look at it. It has a nice soft grip and is lightweight. It comes with a foil head, trimmer and trimmer combs. Included is a nice little bag which you can store the combs and the included cleaning brush. It was a very welcomed addition to the product as you can end up losing them quite easily. I followed the included instructions and left the shaver to charge up. One thing I noticed was there is no indicator of how much power is left in the shaver which would have been nice to have. Now I not only used the trimer and foil shaver on my beard, I actually tried this on my head (as I’m usually rocking a shaved head)I must say this works fanatic on both. The trimmer works great to cut down the longer parts of my beard and head. With the trimmer combs there was no issue in trimming down hair. However the combs are extremely stiff to take off. I was struggling even just to get the number 7 comb off the trimmer head. Also the trimmer combs are quite short and the trimmer could benefit from some longer ones.Taking off the trimmer head is easier. I tried the foil head and that works great, shaves down to the skin and doesn’t hurt or pull on the hair like some foil head shavers do. Easy to take off and it comes with a protective cap for when it’s not in use. Cleaning the shaver is easy, either use the cleaning brush, which is bigger than you normally get in most shavers or just run it under the tap while it’s on. This is a good all round shaver which you can use wet or dry. It performances wonderfully and I would recommend it. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

I tried to upload the picture but I cant attach anything so it might be some system issue.I have a small beard and zi am clean shaven on the sides. Thats why it was so good to get this campaign as I use electric shaver for trimming my beard and shaving my sides. The first thing which came to my mind was a question - can I use it for both? Would it be better then my standart shaver which I am using now? Is Braun going to deliver on its promise?I opened the package and I saw very smart box full of items. Thats what I noticed - attachments, combs, shaver and shaver head. Plus a pouch which is a bonus - however I would be deligthed with some sort of box to keep my shaver secure.Shaver itself looks modern and its easy to hold.I charged it and started using it.It would be nice of Braun to put milimetres on combs so I know what lentgh do I get. Apart from that - pleasant easy shave. And I can confirm that electric shaver is not as good as manual but at least there is no blood. It is more then enough for my shaving - my hair are not thick so it doesn'ttake much to get rid of them.In terms of trimming - as I said lenght would be helpfull but still job was done. Its not extra sharp but I did not expect it to be.I shared my Braun experience with my friend at work - his beard is long and thick so I told him I have new trimmers in case he wants to get rid of it.After all - I would say medium level shaver. Does the job. Keeps the battery life. Looks cool. Its not top range but I dont think it meant to be.Goid enough for me anyway. And is definately waterproof as I tried!!! I love this product, I have always wanted a home grooming kit and just really never had the excuse to go top line and spend a few pounds on myself and treat me to a product like this, until now. First things first I have been grooming for the last 10 plus years with razors and the cheapest of electric beard trimmer so moving from that to the Braun Series 3 Shave&Style is like cutting the grass with a pair of nail clippers to using a fly more, The range of attachment to is unbelievable and there is literally everything you need for absolutely everything possible range of grooming. I will review my experience in a later review but first things first. After a long negotiation with my wife is managed to talk her into letting me cut our 6 year old sons hair for the first time using the various hair trimming attachments 3 different lengths and then finishing of the trim with the actual trimming attachment. The first thing I was worried about was hurting my over sensitive boy, he literally did not flinch and in fact we had great fun throughout the full process. The only thing he did say was that it tickled his neck area a lot but hey that's not a negative. This Braun Series 3 Shave&Style has and literally will save me a fortune in visits to the hairdressers up until he wants something crazy shaved into his head but for now I and my son are more than happy with what this piece of kit has to offer. I look forward to my turn with the Braun Series 3 Shave&Style. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

This is a very good shaver for close shaves.I grew my beard out to see how well this trims thicker hair, and I was very impressed. It cuts through wiry hair like mine really well, and there was no tugging or pulling of the hairs.Shaping of the beard was easily done with the beard attachment, and it was very quick to change over the parts.Close shaving on the neck was easily done, but did take some time. The adjustable elements on the close-shave attachment help go around the contours of your face well. However, it did not deal so well with the few errant long hairs missed by the beard attachment so I had to repeatedly go over areas to get a complete shave. This caused the close-shave attachment to get quite warm, and also caused some skin irritation. The beard attachments go up to 7mm. This is significantly shorter than I normally have my beard, so I would have preferred a few more attachments in greater length. I was able to use the 7mm to trim all remaining beard hair very quickly and easily, so the blades are clearly sharp and good quality.Cleaning the trimmer was easily done with the little brush supplied, and storage was made easy as the beard attachments came with a little storage bag. There is no UK plug adapter included in this set, which could catch some people out - I had to order a new one as I couldn't find my old one! Now i've never really been a fan of electric razors until now, i really like a bit of growth in my stubble as if i do say so myself i think i look slightly sexier. But it was always a case of have a clean shave look like 12 years for a few days then enjoy my perfect length then back to shaving it off after it gets to long and irritating. I just needed something to keep my desired length so i look sexy and not irritated by a long beard, then i found the Braun Series 3 ProSkin razor, the best thing since sliced bread. So what does it do you may ask well it's a 3 in 1 shaver you can either get a close shave out of it or keep your beard at a desired length then it has a precise trimmer head for that all important shaping. So the product itself is lightweight easy to hold which comes with a little pouch so you can keep all the different length combs together 1-7mm by the way. I prefer my length to be 2mm and a quick go over with this and i'm a happy man oh and my girlfriend is as well. The shaver also allows me to shape my neck with its super sharp blades and if a close shave is what your after then it's perfect for that as well. All in all a awesome bit of kit for the price and i'm so glad that i've found this product, what was life like before it? Definitely recommended quality and value all at the same time. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

This German Braun model S3 comes well built looks like a quality Mans shaver ,and attacks the face with all the ferocity of a quality product that Braun produce. It's a real man's shaver and you're never in doubt that when it's in operation is a little noisiy ,but on the other hand is very effective. It kicks start into life when switched on and then proceeds to attack the whiskers off your face without any effert. It also can be used in the shower always a handy feature if in a rush as they state on the box 5 meter waterproof with a 5 minute quick charge. On the build design It's a great looking instrument with a soft grip surface that runs almost the entire length of both flanks and has alovely blue section on the sides of the shaver to grip with ,as well as complementing the black body . Nice and fast recharging system with a decent length coiled lead .Overall it delivers a good, close shave in a minimum amount of time a lot of this is down to the triple action free float system that allows the shaver to float freely over your face with its triple action system. My only negative on this product is it does not come with a travel bag to keep all the bits in but yes it does come with a smaller bag to keep the attachments together so they dont get lost . I used this razor as soon as I received it in the post. The box was really smart and inside was well packaged. Really easy to follow instructions and it came charged! Charged enough for me to have a dry-shave. I did this straight away with this and wasn't disappointed. I let my facial hair grow out until I received the product and it really cut through my facial hair quite effortlessly. Albeit a little razor rash, which is, generally standard for me, it was a rather close shave. It's not so great for hard to reach areas (under the nose) but the click on heads support this function. I would definetely use this on my head hair if I needed a trim.At a first glance I thought it looked quite cheap but as soon you hold it you can tell it's well built! The colour is cool, reminded me of my first car. The head that comes off I felt was a bit stiff to take off and I dropped it on the floor, it isn't a button you push either side like most razors but a small tug is needed to release it. It has a good grip and it is actually quite noisy.I found it really easy to clean and it comes with a pouch for storage. It says it works 5 meters under water so it can be used in the shower for a quick on-the-go shave.Really impressed with Braun and intend to you this from Now on!
