I've been using Braun Electric shavers for a few years now and there's a reason they're the most popular brand, simply because they're the best. While I'd normally use a Series 7 razor, I decided to give the Series 3 300S a run for its money and I've been very pleasantly surprised. The first test was a comparison, shaving one side with the Series 3, and the other with a series 7, Immediately I was impressed by zero visible difference between the two, so I proceeded to re-shave opposite sides to see if the opposite razor could pick up anything my eyes couldn't. The Series 3 was near perfect but after revisiting the same area there where a few crackles as the odd missed hair was caught, however if any difference in trimmed length, it really was negligible. So what sets the fantastic Series 7 and the equally impressive Series 3 300s apart?Well the more expensive Series 7 has a rotating head, various sensitivity settings and a supposed more advanced shaving element. But it's the 300S I want to concentrate on, sure it's bare bones, there's no fancy bells and whistles, and it might be a budget rechargeable shaver, however it's performance is near identical. The few missed hairs I mentioned where potentially down to the lack of a rotating head, or the difference in shaving element, but if the Series 7 was a 10/10 then the Series 3 300s would certainly score a solid 9/10 because there's so little in the actual shaving performance. After extended use, you will notice the elements heating up (something that isn't as easily noticeable on the Series 7) And due to the static head, it takes a little longer than it's my more expensive comparison model, but let's get things straight, the Series 7 costs almost three times as much as the 300s, and while I love my Series 7, anyone wanting a simple, effective shave, then I would seriously recommend the Series 3 300s over the Series 7. Firstly for price, secondly for a near identical shave and thirdly for the smooth, black and discreet styling makes this a fantastic little shaver. Those with sensitive skin, who want to reduce shaving time might be better placed with the rotating head and more advanced element on the series 7, but 95% of people will be perfectly fine with the 300S and even more happy with the price. Finally it's worth mentioning the size of the 300s. As you can see it fits comfortably in the hand and is a neat. Stylish design, I'm not a big fan of shavers trying to look like bright, advanced gadgets, and really appreciate the Matte black simple finish. The on/off button is easy to press with a distinct vibration to the device when on, the build quality matches the range and isn't upto series 7 standard, but it's still a good solid unit which doesn't sound as plastic/hollow as many I've seen. Also it's worth mentioning the 300S is waterproof upto 5 metres, I'm not a fan of using a shaver wet, I prefer the crackle of dry hairs, but it's nice to know f I'm in a rush I could shave mid-shower as well as thoroughly rinse the unit without fear of damage. Bottom line: Incredibly impressed, as with anything set your budget, and if the Series 3 is the best Braun rechargeable shaver in your budget then it's quite simply a Must buy! So, lets start from the very beginning, the box. Very sleek and light but sturdy. Simple looks and explains clearly exactly what your getting in the box and what the product itself is. So far so good. upon opening the box and removing all the packaging etc you end up with a very sleek foil shaver with a lovely professional feel, plenty of grip even in wet conditions. There is an adaptive plug, so the shaver can be used on a 240v or a 100v supply which is very handy for traveling with, and once charged you just pop out the lead and voila a cordless shaver. Also included is a cleaning brush and a protective cap to protect the foil shaving head, and a protective case. The shaving head is easily detached making cleaning a doddle, the brush is handy although not entirely necessary and being quite stiff if you have thicker hair it tends to move it around rather then brush it away. The first thing i did when i opened it was to plug it in and charge it up which I did as I went shopping so unsure as to how long the full charge actually took, but as yet it has been in use for a week and a half daily and I haven't had to charge it back up again. Battery life so far is fantastic for my usage thanks to the long life battery supplied (or should I say inbuilt). The instructions claim an hour charging should give 20 minutes shave time, or five min quick charge should be enough for one shave but so far mine has exceeded this. The unit itself is 5m waterproof, meaning you could drop it in the sink and have very little to worry about which is an added bonus. on reading the instructions and warranty info i noticed it actually comes with a 2 year warranty rather than the standard year. Now its time to mention the usage. there's literally one button - On or Off. the rest of the unit is automatic, meaning very simple to use, the 3 way shaving head is fully adjustable to contours in your face which it does easily as you glide it around. I have used foil shavers for a couple of years now and find myself going over the same 'tough to shave' areas several times to get a really smooth shave, using this series 3 i found that visually the shave looked fantastic after just one or two pass overs. It was still slightly rough in patches but on the whole a very quick shave leaving me looking acceptably smooth. Going over a few more times and it was smooth which I have found to be the standard with most foil shavers, including my old series seven which cost a fair bit of money more than this unit does. For the price its a very very good shaver. I have used better foil shavers before, but I had to pay a lot more for them. I have also used other shavers in a similar price bracket to this one and they were awful. The Braun brand as a whole I have found to be fantastic when it comes to foil shavers and this one doesn't disappoint when you consider the price. The series 3 is a very good shave at a very good price and comes with plenty of extras so you can take it away with you or use it at home daily like myself. Highly recommended product [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Being the sort of 'in a rush' bloke who finds shaving the constant bane of his life, I will cut to the chase and simply say this electric shaver was something of a revelation.Previous experiences have failed to do the job efficiently, requiring multiple sweeps of the facial area, and eventual resignation to the fact my neck will never be clear of hair. However, with this shaver I was able to achieve this seeming unreachable goal, and do so with ease. The three, individually hinged, trimmers at first seemed something of a gimmick. Is three razors really going to be better than one? If I was a betting man I'd have said no. I would have lost the bet. Awkward to reach areas, unconventional facial contours and that space under the ear lobes did nothing to slow this bad boy down. The shave is close, and hand run over the skin (the manly way to test this) will tell you it's comparable to a good wet shave in this area. Initially I felt somewhat exposed, years have passed since my face was this close to the air.I was initially left dumbfounded by the lack of a cleaning brush, confused that such a product would omit such an essential tool. 30 seconds of reading however and it's clear that there is no need. The product is waterproof and cleaning is a simple process of unclipping the head and rinsing it under the tap. Another pro point (although this model is not suitable for shaving in the shower/bath).Charging time is quick, and after a week of regular shaving the motor still seems to running at full efficiency with no in-between charge. If ever the need arose though, it runs quite happily while plugged into the mains. It can apparently detect and adjust to the current from the socket it's been plugged into, and while I couldn't be sure, it seems to run fine from either outlet. The look is sleek, and the design comfortable to hold. Small things, but important with something you intend to use every day.If there's any negative here it's the lack of a trimmer normally found on the top of these devices. It's hardly the end of the world, and I suppose far batter to it does the one job well, but it would perhaps be best to wait a moment before chucking the rest of your shavers in the bin, particularly if you like to style your facial fluff.Overall though, highly recommended, does everything it's supposed to and exceeds in quality it does it. Go forth, and shave well. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

The new Braun series 3 300s is a fantastic product which I was happy to get my hands on as I have reverted to a goatee instead of a full beard which I've had for years now. One might wonder who this razor is aimed at and I did at first thinking it was something to cram into the suitcase for a quick shave on holiday but that would be disingenuous to the product. The Braun 300s is absolutely perfect for somebody who is styling their beard in a certain way and needs to be precise about which parts of the beard to stay in tact e.g. the goatee. Nonetheless I'd be wrong if I said this razor wouldn't be ideal to take with you on holiday,I myself had a fantastic shave in a rush this morning using the razor and I managed a complete trim without any of the awful pulling that most electric razors seem to do. I was actually amazed at how close the razor actually shaves you- to go any closer you'd have to spend time with a hand razor- but this is the perfect little gadget for those days when you don't have the luxury of time. The complete kit comes with a charger so you can charge the razor on the go- though I hope the product ships with a UK charger as mine was the two-pin USA version which is useless over here- happily I have a converter, though I needn't have bothered as Braun (as per usual) ship these with an almost full charge so I could use right away. The Braun 300s is tailored for convenience and quickness which is why it doesn't mind if you rinse it under the tap to quickly get rid of trapped hair in a rush- it's almost completely waterproof and has a removable shaver attachment to quickly clean underneath the razor. Furthermore, I love the styling of the Braun 300s; it's sleek and handsome with a great rubber grip so it won't jump from your wet hands like a bar of soap. Now, with most things at this point the kindly reviewer would point out a couple of caveats but other than the charger I really can't think of any. This product is great for what you need it for, it's comfortable, reliable and attractive with a fantastic battery which I've been running none-stop for about half an hour now and hasn't slowed down which is why I'm happy to recommend this to anybody. Overall I am happy with this Braun foil shaver. I have been using it for about 2 weeks now and feel like I can give a fair evaluation of it.I'll start by pointing out some of the negatives. I am only mentioning these to give a full picture, by no means are these deal breakers, or in any way true annoyances.- My first impression was that the razor does tug at your facial hair, which can be a little uncomfortable. My conclusion after using it for a few days was that it is really best used as an every day razor and only for very short (i.e. one day) beard growth. This way it keeps the tugging to a minimum.- The unit vibrates a fair bit in your hand. Personally, this is not a problem for me,but may be a consideration, if this sort of thing bothers you.- I found that you have to go over the same area quite a few times to get a completely clean shave. I think this is an issue inherent with foil shavers though, and shouldn't be a problem unless you have particularly sensitive skin. Now the good bits!- The Braun 300s gives a very close and clean shave, almost on a par with a wet shave!- It's completely washable, so no need for messy brushes, just pop the blade attachment off, rinse with water and let it dry. Very convenient!- It seems to have a long battery life, only charged it once when I got it, and haven't needed to recharge in over 2 weeks with pretty much daily use!In conclusion, I am happy with the device and will probably continue using it for a long time, especially as I usually sport a 3-4 day stubble look, so the Braun is great as a complimentary razor to shave everything below the jaw line to give that clean, well groomed look. Equally, I would not have a problem using it for an alternative to wet shaving for a daily full clean shave. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

When I got my shaver, the first thing that caught my eye was the packaging. It is a standard box with some green and black design and a picture of the shaver on the front...yey. On opening the box and pulling the tray out, everything has its place in the packaging. You get the shaver, foil guard and power lead. The power lead is a nice coiled, springy cable that you can extend slightly if required.Holding the shaver, it is nicely weighted, not too heavy that it would be too much to take on your travels but heavy enough to give you confidence in its build quality. There are good quality plastics around the edge with a grippy rubber going through the middle, front and back.Operating the shaver was simple with an on/off button and a battery indicator on the front. When I switched it on, there was quite a loud buzzing, that could certainly be heard outside of a closed door. The vibration of the device is minimal. Shaving with the Braun is simple, mainly thanks to it balanced weight. The only quibble was that I had to go over the same spot numerous times before it got rid of the hair right down to my skin level, we are not talking about a really long beard either, about a centimetre or so long. This did cause me to have some skin irritation on my neck after I had finished. The finished product was quite good. A nice close shave and it did, eventually, get rid of all my beard. Cleaning the product was less awkward that the shave. I just ran it under the tap and rubbed it with my finger tip. Most of the hair fell out just with the water. To sum up, a nicely, packaged, well made and balanced product. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

I think when you find a product worth shouting about well just do it, here's one I got to this braun series 3 300 rechargeable shaver and wow has it , for someone with sensitive skin electric or battery shavers have been a no no, due to the skin irritation they gave me I just stopped trying few years ago and after trying all the wet shavers around stuff k with the well-known vibration system that's costing me a fortune, but it's been the only solution until I had the opportunity to test this series 3 300 rechargeable shaver, I've had it well over a week now had few shaves and even very short stubble that the wet shaver would struggle on has been a doddle for this battery life is just beengreat gave it a full charge and its still going 9 days later looks well it's a shaver and well made German technology, washable blades are a godsend and they are replaceable for when you need it so no replacing the whole shaver happy day's, so let's bring this to the conclusion it's well made it does as described clean and close, no skin imitation, battery life is great, looks good, and changes very quickly forgot to mention, it's all good the price is good not far off a pack of wet shaver blades so you can see why this product is so appealing i can't but rate this as fantastic and will be blogging one if the best products it's definitely a keeper well done braun another fantastic job. Pros:Very close shaveLong battery lifeThree pressure sensitive shaving elementsWater proof"Smart plug"Cons:Can't cope with long hairNo travel or storage bagOverall I'm very pleased with the Braun Series 3. It provides an extremely close shave that I think rivals a manual blade. The battery life is good. I've had six shaves so far without needing to recharge it. The three pressure sensitive shaving elements means even someone as useless as me can easily use it to get a very nice shave. It's even impressive after you've finished shaving. It's waterproof, so can be washed straight under the tap. I believe it can even be used to shave while it the shower, but I haven't been brave enough to try that! The "smart plug" is a very nice added bonus. It can be used in 100-240 voltage plugs, so is ideal for a travel shaver as it can be used all over the world in any plug. There are a couple of negatives however that stop me from giving it five out of five. Firstly I couldn't use it with a long beard. I found it struggled with the long hairs and ended up pulling at them which was unpleasant. A quick once over from my trimmer however, and it was good to go. Finally I was a bit disappointing that it didn't come with a bag to store it all in, especially as it would be ideal as a travel shaver with the 100-240 voltage plug. Firstly, let me prefix everything I have to say on the shaver with the fact that I rarely shave, as such the test I gave it was probably the "worst case" you could really throw at it, a closest-setting trimmed beard. Certainly more than a few days growth, which I expect is more the "norm".The packaging was nice and stylish, everything was presented well and arrived safely. The device itself was very minimalist in its design; a simple on/off button and a power/charging indicator light. It felt nice and light in my hand, perfect for taking on trips without weighing you down, yet enough weight to feel solidly built. The shave it gave was incredible, especially when you consider the cost of the device,it performed at least as well as a shaver that cost 10x the amount! The shave was very close, very rapid and completely without irritating my skin.Cleaning it was a breeze thanks to it being a simple washable shaver, a quick run under the tap and it was spotless. Though I did note that if needed the blades could be separated and cleaned a bit more thoroughly. All in all, for the price it really can't be faulted, sure you can pay 10x more and get self cleaning shavers, etc. but for a great portable and performing shaver, look no further! So i have been using the Braun Series 3 300s electric razor for over a week now so I've fully got used to the pros and cons. Unboxing the shaver i could see that it came with a Smart plug for automatic 100-240 voltage adjustment which is definitely good if you are a traveller. It came fully charged and with a set of instructions. I first used the shaver dry will i had a medium growth. I was in so much pain as it stuck to every little hair possible. I decided to stop using it and use my other shaver to take most of the hair away. I then used the Braun Series 3 300s electric razor on a daily basis to stop myself having any hair growth and it was much better to use. There was no irritation felt and it was quick and easy to complete my whole face in the morning. I could have done with a pop up trimmer for my sideburns. I would definitely use again especially while traveling as it is lightweight and easy to keep clean with the protection cap. As much as i liked the Braun Series 3 300s electric razor i don't quite think I'll be using it as my everyday shaver but again it's handy for traveling and as a spare as long as you haven't not shaved within a few weeks otherwise it will a sore shave. This is genuinely a great shaver. For years I was a wet, manual shave kind of guy but found I was replacing the blade every week to keep the shave close and clean. So for this reason I decided to get an electric. To date I've had 3. The first was cheap and therefore terrible. It basically pulled the hairs out and missed a quarter of them. The next was good, powerful but the battery lasted 2 shaver at most. Then i got the Series 3.When I first picked it up, I thought it felt a bit light and may not be powerful enough to provide a proper shave. However I charged it up and gave it a go and it was fantastic. It was so quick and gave such a clean and smooth shave I was very impressedMy previous shavers I've had to go over bits time and time again to ensure all the hairs were gone but with this it took 1 slow movement to ensure it was done. Even the tricky to get top lip was easy as the design of the shaver made it easy with no pain at all.The best part is the cleaning. Just run it under a tap and that's it. No needing to brush it clean. The battery has lasted hours so far on one charge so very happy.Overall I would fully recommend this shaver, it's ideal and a great price. So I chose to review the Braun Series 3 300s Rechargeable Electric Shaver. I already own another Braun so I had something to compare to! The shaver is rechargeable so no need to rely on batteries. The charge after decent use lasted for around 1-2 weeks before it needed recharging. The great benefit of it being rechargeable is that it's cordless so very portable. The weight is no bother at all and it fits great into the palm of your hand. What's good about this Braun is that the shaver foils rotate left and right which allow follow the contour of your facial structure, it also allowed me to get into tight spots under my nose where it's hard to shave! The foils are waterproof as I've washed the remaining hair out.The only minor issue I have found is that sometimes when gliding along the face, the foils can latch onto random hair and rather than cut, they pull out the hair which obviously gives you jump.I've rated it 4/5 because compared to my other braun, I felt it was missing something. Probably because I'm used to the side burner trimmer which is on my other product. I would expect this to be lower priced than what I paid for my original. Simply put it charges quick, gives me a close shave and has a low battery indicator. What else do you need? No longer will I have half a face shaved to find out the battery has died! In the box is the shaver, rechargeable battery, instruction book and charger. This is the first foil shaver I have used but I'm really impressed. It takes a bit of getting used to the technique compared to a bladed razer but once you do it'll give a much closer shave and no risk of cutting yourself! It also makes shaving around my throat a breeze now! Being waterproof up to 5 meters you can use it in the shower and rinse the whole thing under a tap. Saves a lot of time on clean up.The head also removes for more intensive cleaning but I've not found a need to do that after washing it under a tap. Not sure who would use it 5 meters under water but it's somewhat comforting to know I could! All in all a great little shaver that does exactly what I need it to, but with a few extra little features that make it really useful. Top Tip: use the shaver in different directions on your skin and it'll catch everything leaving your face smooth. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

The Brain series 3 300s electric razor came in a compact sleek, box. Which has a lot less packaging then other electric razors. In to box is the actual razor, a protective cap to protect the foils while not in use and a smart plug that automatically changes the voltage from 100v to 240v so no needed to message under changing plugs and worrying about short circuiting.I charged the battery before first use so it would be at full power. Over alliteration took around 10 minutes to get the perfect shave like I normally would get from manual and other electric razors. The foils do glide smoothy over the skin but it does miss hairs so have to go over the same area a few times to get everything which makes the skin irritated. The battery charged really fast and it is really simple to use.It only got 4 stars due to the fact it took so long to get all of the hairs and be completely a close shave.Great for if you want a quick shave and / or have the patience to get a perfect close shave. This seems quite a powerful motor. You immediately sense that on switching on. I use both wet and dry shavers, preferring the wet, but carrying the dry when I travel. So I am quite used to both. I do prefer the modern multi-blade wet systems, but for ease when travelling, I just pop a dry razor in my pack. I tested this one on my under chin, about 9 hours after a wet shave. I was very surprised to hear it meeting some beard (I can do a couple of days before really needing a shave). The fact that this was able to engage with some hair in a very difficult to reach spot, so soon after a wet shave, really did did impress me. As I said, seems more powerful than what I generally use, so no doubt about it,this will be the preferred shaver for travel. The other thing is that it is amazing quick charge about four hours getting you enough charge for a week. So for the traveller, I like this very much.I shared my opinion with friends and reccomend this shaver for everyone man! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
