This has been one of the most enjoyable games that I have played in a long time. Right now there are 4 files being played concurrently in our house, 7 y/o, 9 y/o, 12 y/o and a 40+ y/o. The entire game is so charming and whimsical. It is a constant treasure hunt.There have been complaints about the combat, but it fits so well, as it is so puzzle based that at no point did the combat feel like a burden. Each of the boss battles have been interesting and unique, and they have actually been a challenge.One of the most impressive things about this game, that I wish more games would incorporate is a smart difficulty scale. So as an example there was one of those 9x9 grid puzzles which I can never do,

Superb game, I can't recommend this game highly enough. Graphics are beautiful and up there with best on the nintendo switch. The worlds are vibrant and really enjoyable to explore. There are lots of collectibles and you will find yourself addicted to finding all those toads. The game is huge and will take you 35+ hrs to complete, especially if you are a completionist. I understand others concerns regarding the battle system however the combat puzzles become very tactical by the later levels and it becomes a good challenge to work out your battle strategies. The boss battles mix up the combat even further and are definately a highlight. There are missed opportunities, which will hopefully be developed in a sequel.

I really thoroughly enjoyed this game, there is tonnes of playtime and puzzles. It has a very large and vibrant world, with a tonne of humour. Not only is this game funny, it is filled with heart.The combat kept my attention, but definitely felt less complex than I would have expected, however there are at least three battle systems at play here, which keep things fresh. Regular battles, Boss battles and Macho battles. I personally haven’t enjoyed a game this much in quite a while, I’m really thoroughly impressed that the heart and soul of Paper Mario is here in abundance.

This was one of the best Mario games in a long time. It’s more puzzle based that RPG but I loved that. The dialogue was funny and you could always get a helpful hint from Olivia if you needed it. I did try to avoid battles if I could but I see why they are like they are. I loved it for the bosses but just for the goombas etc I just ran away from the before the battle started! Despite that, it doesn’t take any stars away from my review as I enjoyed it so much. I got it two weeks ago and I’ve already completed it!

Great little game new to paper mario I was on the fence about purchasing this at first due to bad reviews.I decided to give it a go and glad I did its great for all ages not too taxing great for casual gamers like myself.So I'd say give it a go the battles are a little annoying at times but it still doesn't ruin the game at all.I like it would recommend it for all.

This game really blew away my expectations! Graphics are amazing, gameplay and writing is fun and quirky- combat is a little hard to understand at first but when you get the jist of it it’s just as fun as the rest of the game. It’s easy enough for kids to pick up and play, but there’s enough challenge for adults to have fun too, highly recommend for any Mario fan!

I saw so many bad reviews of this game online, specially from some YouTubers, but I have to say that I'm completely in love with the game.Graphic are stunning, dialogues are funny, gameplay is entertaining, Olivia is a great companion. Yes, battle system is a bit tricky at the beginning, but nothing that can't be mastered.I highly recommend this game.

Didn't enjoy the earlier Super Paper Mario on the Wii but have really enjoyed Origami King. The graphics are excellent, the story is charming and some of the combat is brilliant.. love the boss battles. It is definitely a platformer/RPG hybrid that can be simplistic but it is a Mario game so it has to be accessible.Well worth a purchase.

I am a fan of previous Paper Mario games and I thought this wasn't going to be as fun as the previous ones. I was wrong, from the beginning I was hooked. The graphics are fantastic and the attention to detail with the storyline and additional characters are great. The puzzles are challenging, but that's part of the fun.

The game draws you in straight away and gets better as the story progresses. If you’re not familiar with the franchise, it’s not your typical Mario game. But don’t let that put you off. Beautiful worlds, witty commentary and lots of secrets to uncover balanced with a methodical and systematic battle system.

Fantastic story driven Mario title, really funny and heart warming in places, it also has fantastic graphics and great music, with shredding guitars and violins. I'm about 10 hours in and still really enjoying it. As there is a lot of reading I would suggest this for older Mario fans or kids 10 and up

Superb again, at least as good as Thousand Year Door (which is still a brilliant game). The humour in it’s brilliant too, some really Dad jokes. I just saved a Toad from a flower box (who appeared as a flower) and he said “I bloom myself” (Tobias from Arrested Development?).

Been a fan of the paper Mario series ever since the thousand year door, this game is fantastic everything from the graphic style to the battles are flawless (yes they have got rid of xp but I don't see the fuss about that) buy it you will not regret the purchase :D

Paper Mario the Origami King is an hilarious game. Some wonderful cut sections and the familiar Mario feel go together really well. Some ingenious battle mechanics and the clever use of origami makes for a fun game for everyone.

In parts hilarious, this colourful romp is just what the doctor ordered during all this doom and gloom.New puzzle righting mechanic is a hit, and adds to an already streamlined battle system.It’s all just hugely entertaining!
