This is the first time I've had a major problem with an item I purchased from Amazon - I received the game's case (sealed in Nintendo's official shrink wrap) and manuals, but the game itself was nowhere to be found. There were signs of tampering on the case, so someone must have used a tool to slip the game cartridge out of the case without removing the shrink wrap. Amazon offered a replacement without any questions, and even provided me with a free return postage label to cover the costs. I am very pleased with the customer service here. The game itself is fun and colourful, and while I have only just made it to the desert world (the second one), I am already enjoying it greatly.I should probably note that this is my first Mario and Luigi game, but not my first Paper Mario (my first was Sticker Star). The game has lots of different elements packed into one adventure, and so far I have been given many tutorials for each one. I do think that there is a little too much introduced at the beginning of the game though, as I can barely move a couple of screens before something new is presented. This isn't too big a problem, though, as these elements are all relatively simple to understand. The combat is fast-paced and mostly skill-based (as opposed to some games which use randomness to provide fake challenge), and I find myself seeking out enemies rather than avoiding them because the combat is very satisfying. This is partly because, unlike Sticker Star, there is a leveling system here that rewards you for defeating enemies. I've also encountered one boss which I enjoyed fighting too (especially when I pulled off one of the game's Bros. Attacks perfectly to inflict massive damage in a single turn). There are a few features that make the game's combat easier for younger players (such as an easy mode and an ability which makes the Bros. Attacks easier to pull off), and I feel that this was a good choice as the combat can be somewhat challenging when it comes to timing special moves and dodging enemies' attacks.Outside of combat, the player roams around a map consisting of smaller sections with all sorts of things to keep the player busy - question mark blocks (of which there are several varieties), flowers that bloom when you dash over them, enemies you can hit with a surprise attack, and a bunch of other stuff. I must criticise the game for halting the player in almost every area (so far, remember I have only just reached the desert world, the interruptions probably get less intrusive later on), and sometimes multiple times per area, to provide some item, ability, or story element, but this is another minor complaint.Overall, this is a great game (from what I've played so far). Nintendo have done a great job, and if you like these kinds of games, there's no reason to pass it up. It was so good that someone actually stole my copy of the game from its box.

Mario and Luigi paper jam is my first mario and Luigi RPG, and it didn't disappoint. This difficult and engaging RPG often interrupted by tedious toad hunts is one 3ds game you don't want to miss. One of the best aspects of this game is the battle system, trio attacks are one of the best things in battles. The enemies increase in difficulty well, with bosses being extremely tough if you don't prepare, but easy if you train Mario, Luigi, and Paper Mario well. The dialogue is humorous when it wants to be, but often can be boring, I often found myself skipping through dialogue that was unnecessary and dull. One of the things I was worried about entering the game was how I would control the 3 characters, but I found that not to be a problem and it to be extremely fluent and easy to control. Despite all of these positives, the most frustrating part of paper jam was the paper toad hunts. They were fun to start but the novelty quickly wore off and it soon became a chore to do them to advance to the next paper craft battle. Speaking of paper craft battles, they were fun at times, but tedious at others. The clunky feel of the battle soften interrupted what could have been one of the best parts of this game. As for the music, it was very good, it often left tunes stuck in my head, I just wish there was more variety. In conclusion, Paper Jam is an exciting RPG leaving me very satisfied with my purchase, I just wish that paper craft battles were improved and there to be much less or no toad hunts.Pros: Battle system, controlling of the characters, infectious music.Cons: Toad hunts, Paper craft battles

I've just completed this game tonight. It's a great game and I had around 37 hours of Gameplay. Colourful, exciting and I didn't want to put it down. I have an 8 year old and definitely feel it'd be quite difficult for her, not to mention frustrating at times (papercraft anybody?) but still a good game all the same. I love the Mario franchise. Would recommend to anybody young and old. I rarely used the 3D feature as it hurts my eyes but when I did use it, it looked fantastic. Another minor thing I disliked was the fact you cannot save and 'complete' the game once you defeat Bowser. Had I known that I would have ensured I found everything before getting to the final stage.

Arrived earlier than expected and is a very good platform game, only played for 15 hours total so far as i use mostly b4 bed to help me get to sleep. Would recommend in a heartbeat to Mario & Luigi fans, another best part is you can save anytime, turn off and start again later from the exact same spot. Unlike other games that send you back to the start of a level.

As a massive fan of Mario, my son asked for this at Christmas. He says this is a very good RPG, it's quite hard but that's a good thing. It's a good collaboration from Alpha Dream & Intelligent Systems. 5 stars! :)

Got this game for xmas. If you played anyone of the previous Mario & Luigi games and enjoyed them to bits then this probably be up your alley. Only Four Stars because Toad Hunts can get tedious after a while.

This was my first experience with Mario in an rpg format. At first I wasn't sure, because my expectations of a Mario game weren't identifiable, but giving it a chance I love it.

Son says game was amazing. The game was very similar to the previous game in the series and gameplay was great. Difficulty wasn't too hard but wasn't too easy either.

Mario and Luigi a great series indeed with final fantasy set battles in place not sure if your young generation kids would like as it had many speeches you must read

Stunning. If you like the Paper Mario series this is well worth considering. Lovely graphics, nice gameplay mechanics and a great, great game.

Another great game for the 3ds, so many great scenes, I've been a Nintendo fan for 30 years and games like this keep me coming back for more.

It's a mashup of the 2d universe of paper mario and the 3d universe of the 3ds mario game we know. The humour is absolute, never bored.

This game is different to other Mario ones and so much more exciting. If you like the traditional Mario you're sure to like this
