Had the FZ 82 just over a month and it is truely exceptional I was worried that the long lens would not be any good at its longest length but it is fine. The video is exceptional but due to ergonomics hand held videos which include tracking and zooming do look very amateur, hopefully with time (or a monopod) my technique will improve. The quality of photos is exceptional although very few have been indoors. The only downside was trying to zoom in on a bird in a clear blue sky. I was considering the FZ1000 even FZ2000 as I was worried about the image quality. But went for the FZ82 as I wanted to take sports videos which meant a fair distance from the action. So I have saved a lot of money and have a camera that more than meets my needs. The attached glacier image was taken pretty much at the zooms limits from miles away and the crevasses could not be seen with a naked eye. Most difficult part has been trying to get to grips with the menus and huge array of options. But for most part just using in auto is fine. Never had a camera with panoramic option before and this option has amazed me.

Simply the most versatile bridge camera on the market, with its massive zoom range of 20mm - 2400mm when iZoom enabled. 4K gives great video and 4K photo burst mode (super fast 30fps to capture that precise moment), with a zoom range of 28mm - 3360mm. The massive zoom range with 4K burst is an absolute game changer for birding and wildlife photography. Full auto 'point and shoot' mode make it great for absolute novices to photography, while full manual modes make it appealing to experienced photographers. Never regretted swapping my DSLR for this exceptional camera, which covers everything I need it to in one lightweight versatile package. The biggest concern when buying this camera is whether to buy one or two!!

I have only had the camera for a few days but feel I must give my opinion so far. I decided to opt for a bridge camera & move away from DSLR. I decided on this camera after much debate between this & Nikon but based on the features and benefits I chose the Panasonic. Had a few practice shots yesterday and have to say I'm pleased with the results so far. There are an amazing amount of settings which will take time to get used to but with time & patience I'm sure I will enjoy learning. As a glasses wearer I too thought I'd have a problem with the LVF but just took my glasses off and the view is as clear as day. I'll post another review from once I have a few months experience but so far,so good for me!

My previous camera a Fuji was six years old so I needed a new one. I quite fancied this model and it did resemble my old one. More apps were available, I found it a little complicated to use at first, but practice makes perfect. After visiting Scotland and taking quite a few pics I was quite pleased with the quality of the graphics. The Video is very good too, very sharp and stable video, and you can film in 4K although to get the results you do need a 4K TV. Good value overall bearing in mind the prices being asked for more advanced cameras. I enjoyed using it, despite the fact it is a little heavy and bulky so make sure the straps are very secure.

I picked this up with a 20% very discount and a £30 Panasonic cashback offer, so my review is based on the amazingly cheap price I paid. The camera is ideal for those interested in taking pictures of far off places that the eye can barely see and is also great for taking pictures of friends, family and the public without them knowing, thus capturing natural unstated pictures. Using the zoom and focusing on the subject will give you professional looking pictures with out of focus backgrounds. It also comes with a 4K video so for most people’s needs this camera is all you need to take with you. Highly recommended.

I have an FZ330 so the FZ82 was a good buy for my wife. We went out yesterday taking pictures together & I was quite impressed with hers, even though mine had the edge. The lack of lens hood & rubber eyepiece were the reason for the less than perfect score. Also the rubber grip was slightly loose & I nearly returned it. When I checked mine, that was the same, so it must be a Panasonic trait. This is our 4th Panasonic bridge camera since 2011, so you could say we are fans.

I must say it looks very neat and it is definitely lighter than the the Sony at 50x zoom. Plus it can do 60shots A second compared to 10 on the Sony.I must admit I did like the Sony till it broke down and originally wanted the same model as I had. But unfortunately Argos hadn’t got any in stock and none had been ordered. Which probably means there’s a new model coming out. I needed a camera so I went for the Panasonic.I can’t wait to use it. Watch this space!

Bought for my husbands birthday, his old camera also a lumix was a tad dated! He loves this fz82, the features are amazing and he's really enjoying playing about and trying things out.The detail that this picks up is incredible, even birds in flight have no blur.My husband is not what you'd call a 'photographer' per se, he doesn't use photoshop or any other software to adjust his photo's, they're as is! Totally recommend this camera, it's brilliant!

I've had digital Lumix cameras for the last 15 + years due to the excellent quality photographs they take, wide angle lens and various other settings to name a few.. This camera is step up with unbelievable 60 X zoom, fabulous photo quality, LCD or viewfinder option, not too big or bulky, easy to come to grips with and I am still learning the various functions. Loving my new toy so far and the photographs are brilliant quality, thank you Panasonic!! :)

What a buy! Full of useful, practical features with joyous results as expected from the incredible Lumix range!I brought this camera as a replacement for my older Lumix FZ35 (still going strong) for the 4K movies and mighty 40X zoom, which allows me to film and capture my martial arts sessions in superb detail. I also travel and love to photograph nature as well as urban landscapes. This one camera does it all and at an excellent price!

Fantastic price for build and picture qualityFantastic zoom lens and a multitude of settings. Wifi connection is very handy as you can upload almost instantly and take pictures remotely via the Panasonic app. The only down side I can come up with is that there are so many settings for a variety of shooting techniques and effects, that it takes alot of learning. That said I'm only a beginner! I would recomme this camera to anyone.

I decided to rekindle my love of photography after it had waned over the past two or three years and I had got used to using my iPhone. I am absolutely delighted with the FZ82. The picture quality is stunning and I am lost for words when it comes to video quality. I took a video of the hedgehogs in my garden a few nights ago and was blown away by the sheer professional quality. Add to this a 60x zoom and I could not be happier.

Having decided not to have to carry various lens for a DSLR camera and also the cost of buying several different lenses!!!! I decided to go with the FZ82 which so far has proved to be an excellent camera great for wildlife photography due to the long zoom lens. It also has the added advantage of recording in 4k video and RAW format. Your getting a lot of technology for your money best choice for my price bracket.

Excellent lens, great for wide landscapes as well as wildlife. Huge range of features and controls. Touch screen very useful for focusing and quick adjustments in manual mode. Light weight and easy to handle. You do lose some fine detail in images if you view at full size - as you will with any small-sensor camera - but for versatility and practicality it's hard to beat. Perfect for holidays and long trail walks.

This is a wonderful camera and the first I’ve had that can focus at it’s maximum focal length - most don’t!! Impressive photos just using the auto mode(s) and video in 4K is phenomenal. If I were to find a fault, it that in manual mode you can only go as far a F8, whereas I would have like at least F11. However, I knew this before buying so will not deduct any stars.Would I recommend it? - Yes, definitely
