This is by far the best shaver I have ever had. I was amazed at the quality of it, but it is Japanese.I have a Braun M90 portable shaver and also I have Braun 3040s and this little baby is better than any of them.I see someone had a little moan about the noise but my goodness? it is a powerful little bit of equipment.I could never in my life get a shaver that would shave my soft stubble under my chin but this thing does it with no problem. It seems to cut more stubble off then even a wet shave and I have never felt my facial skin feeling so soft.I did use a pre-electric shaving lotion but no need with this as it cuts so easily and leaves no sores at all.I used to use Philips Round headed shaver a long time ago but the circular ones always made my skin sore. This does make my under-chin a little bit sore because I am not used to any shaver getting such a close shave in that area of my face. It is something that gets better every night as I use it.I purchased mine directly from a Japanese seller on eBay and although it took 4 weeks to arrive it was worth the wait.I have been shaving every night now for 4 weeks and still is going well on one set of batteries. They were not expensive batteries but they were also not rechargeable. It is a very well made shaver and Panasonic live up to their name.I know there is no trimmer on this but who cares? I already have a set of trimmers so no problem for me.Comes with a brush to clean the cutters but no case. I actually found an old manicure set in a leather case and this fit perfectly. The one I purchased from eBay was just £13.99 with free postage so I think I got a bargain.I fully recommend these but not only for a portable shaver but for a main one too.

I love this little dude. It just arrived a few days earlier than expected from Japan. So intuitive even down to the little brush that has a hole for your thumb. Though it is plastic-ish, once the batteries are in there is a beautiful heft to it, combined with the small size to feel great in the hand. Works excellently with my eneloop rechargeable AAs, but I don't have new regular AAs to compare it to. Very snappy power though. I can't stop touching my neck and cheeks because I've honestly never had such a smooth, comfortable, effortless shave before. I use a Wahl prolithium magnum (US version of prolithium beret) trimmer for my beard (also love it)and that gets my neck and cheek hair it down to the perfect length for this shaver to clean up. I have previously used a remington (not foil) electric, disposable razors, and for the last ten years, a safety razor with badger hair brush and the whole shebang, but this beats all in comfort, speed, and efficiency. So far :). I tend to rash or break out with a safety razor. I did try this shaver on a some hairs that were a little longer, and it didn't work too well, but if you use it on short stubble, I can't recommend it enough. I have quite coarse hair. The instruction pictures are quite clear though an English manual would be cool to have.

Summary: Great shaver for traveling or as a backup. It gets the job done. Sure it takes extra passes but it leaves a clean close shave. Price is too low for replacement or consumable parts. Has earned a spot in my shaving cabinet. Background: I use a Dovo Master's straight razor on Monday. Wahl 5 Star Shaver Shaper to maintain until the weekend. Used this shaver as a replacement to the Wahl for a couple of weeks to test.I don't think bumps or burns are ever the fault of the shaver so it's not worth saying "bump free" like so many other posts on similar products. I do have sensitive skin but never had an issue with a shaver as long as the foil isn't damaged, I use a light touch, and the cutting block is lubricated.Review: The ES-RS10 is fantastic. Real compact with good grips and a nice weight and balance. Foil is easy to remove and there's isn't a ton of noise or vibration. I'm going to assume based on the draw and capacity (two AA cells) this thing can go months if you use quality batteries.Price for replacement foils/blocks is $10+12 so depending on discounts/deals you're best to buy a new unit and break the old one down for parts.Just buy it. It's great. Love the fact it's made in Japan. No issues supporting a great economy especially given the alternatives.

I found this shaver to be a perfect replacement for my old Panasonic ES4815 portable Wet/Dry shaver that served me well for a decade. My primary tool is Gillette Fusion. However, it leaves ever so subtle stubby hairs in the corner of my mouth and on my chin. I use Panasonic to finish my shaving process. The little shaver takes perfect care of this problem areas, doesn't cause irritation, doesn't pull hairs, and leaves perfectly smooth skin.ES-RS10 is not a primary shaver. It's not designed and can't handle longer hair well. However, it is perfect as a finishing touches shaver. It is smaller than ES4815 but does its work just as well, even though ES-RS10 has just a single row of shaving blades.Even though ES-RS10 doesn't come with a pouch it fits perfectly into my old pouch from ES4815.ES-RS10 uses standard AA batteries that can be sourced from anywhere. Warranty coverage is in Japan only, but at this price level and with it's solid build I don't expect there will be any need for a warranty. Panasonic says that cutting blades should be replaced every couple of years anyway.I'm quite pleased with this purchase after using the shaver for a couple of weeks. Buying from Japan was not an issue at all. The parcel arrived to Canada within a couple of weeks.

This shaver took a while to deliver from overseas but was worth the wait. It shaves as well as the much bigger Braun M90 but it lacks a trimmer and the cover falls off easily. I use an elastic band to keep the cover on while it's in my bag. I think that's just the price of ultra compactness. The finish scratches easily, so you can't just toss it in a pocket of your satchel with metal or hard objects if you want it to look pristine forever, but that's what I do. A small bag would solve this.I've only had it for a month and I don't use it every day, but so far it's terrific because it shaves very well and is among the very smallest available. I'm Asian and I don't have a lot of facial hair,so take my review with a grain of salt if you have a full beard and grow a 5 O'Clock shadow that could sand furniture.

This is easily the best battery powered Shaver on the market. It offers shave after shave close finish, very economical on batteries,I have two rechargeables in the shaver for over 4 weeks and its still running well. The only alternative is the Braun M90, which has a clrver designed swing over foil protector,Power lock/Handle extender and a place to stow away the cleaning brush at the bottom end of the shaver. It also has a trimmer although it is in a bad position on the sde and slides out.Not very practical in use but at least it has one which the panasonic doesn't.I would say its a close call...Braun better design...Panasonic better shave...Both great shavers take your pick

This is the cheapest but best electric shaver I have ever used. It is well made, small, lightweight and cuts my stubble [which is quite coarse!] effectively. I am using rechargeable batteries which so far have lasted for seven full nightly facial shaves with no noticeable loss in power. It probably isn't as quick as a wet shave but it is far more convenient.I have now been using this shaver every night for over 3 weeks with the same rechargeable batteries and there is still no noticeable loss of power. This machine cuts my tough ginger stubble better then a wet shave with a razor! Say no more. I intend to buy more of these shavers for myself and other people as presents.

I dont normally write many reviews but I felt compelled to do so for this little gem of a product. I bought it just for the size and ability to run on batteries for use on holidays. I have always used Panasonic and Braun foil shavers with variable results. So I was keen to see how this single foil unit would perform and ..............WOW, honestly the close, smooth shave you get is way better than any of the mains/rechargeable shavers I have used in recent years! An absolute bargain price too. Delivery was faster than I expected. The only downside is the lack of trimmer but you can get by on a holiday without it. Don't hesitate - just buy one!

I initially bought this great little shaver to use while travelling and it did an excellent job at that. Then, my main shaver broke so I started using this little wonder daily/every second day until I got a replacement for the main shaver but I found that it did such a good job that I don't need another shaver. I've been using it as my main shaver for 3 months now and it gives me about as close a shave as my previous main shaver (a Remington) and it irritates my skin less. I use Panasonic Eneloop rechargeable batteries with it and they last a very long time. All in all, highly recommended; I'll buy another one as a spare!

Japanese products have an esteemed reputation of having a standard of quality and a great feel from well conceived design. This Panasonic travel shaver is a classic. Using the lightest pressure on the foil produces a clean shave as the shaver glides along. The blades do such a nice job that when you remove the foil for cleaning, all you see is hair dust. It literally turns whiskers to dust. I don't let my facial hair get too long, so I can't let you guys know how it would do on a very full 5 o'clock shadow. I suspect that it might take a few extra runs, but it is a travel shaver in size.

I bought this for use as a travel shaver and, having used it for over two years now, I have to say that I think it's brilliant.Firstly, it's small and compact, and easy to pack as it's battery operated so no mains cables or adaptor.Secondly it's more than sufficiently powerful - I use two reachargeable Panasonic Eneloop 1900 mAh AA batteries with it, but any standard heavy-duty alkaline AA batteries should work fine.Thirdly, you can buy replacement cutters and foils on that other online marketplace at a reasonable price.

Thought i'd buy one of these for my next motorcycle tour with the wife as space is always at a premium, well mine is anyway!I've tried it a couple of times before we go away & i am honestly really impressed, it's almost as good as a wet shave & even my wife is impressed, i've had to tell her she's not to use it on her legs!I was also very impressed with the level & speed of service from the Japanese supplier, i would certainly use them again, far better than a lot of UK suppliers i have had to deal with in the past.

It is small shaver yet it is efficient and powerful considering that it operates by 2 AA batteries! Originally i was hesitant to buy it since it is not rechargeable and it is operating with only 2 AA batteries so i thought that it wont have enough power but since i had an excellent experience of similar rechargeable Panasonic shaver (JAPAN/GENUINE) used for over 6 years i decided to buy it and try and it turns to be a good purchase as its shaving well and close and i have been using it for over a year now

19.3.2017

I travel for work alot but pack light and this shaver ticks all the boxes for a short stay. The quality of shave is just as good if not better than the majority of travel shavers (Braun M90) and it takes up so little space. My only comment is that the protective cap can come off too easily and there is no side-burn trimmer but for a few nights away its the perfect job. Battery life is good - still going strong after 8 weeks of travelling (average 2 nights away per week).

My dad has one of these since the late 80s and until now its still working like new. So i ordered one for myself and used it 4x now to be exact. it gives a close, comfortable, smooth and no mess shave. i would love to buy another one.Edit: Dec 13, 2020. This shaver is still working great and I bought another 1 for my dad as his 30 plus yrs old shaver finally broke down.So I expect this shaver to last 30 plus years too. ?
