I bought this a while ago from my local John Lewis, not Amazon. Because I'd never tried cold brew before, I wanted to be able to return it as easily as possible. I needn't have worried. It produces excellent coffee, even with a relatively cheap grind and with very little effort. I buy a 227 g bag of coffee and pour the lot in at one go. Then I add 900 ml of water (i.e. just under the 4:1 ratio), leave it for 10 minutes and then stir gently with a spatula to mix thoroughly. Then I just leave it (I find about 15 hours works best) and drain it off. Oxo advise that it takes up to 20 minutes to drain. I find it can take an hour. The result is 400+ ml of black nectar.Oxo advise a 60 ml shot per cup but I reckon 40 ml is about right, so you get around 10 cups per brew. You can keep it in the fridge for a fortnight, although I've always run out within a week, so I can't vouch for that. All this might sound like a bit of a phaff but it isn't really and it's certainly less effort and less messy than brewing up in a cafetiere every day. Oh, and it produces much better coffee!

Expensive but it makes the tastiest, most convenient, fuss free coffee IF you ignore one of the supplied instructions. Do. Not. Stir.I completely agree with a previous reviewer - it works really well with a standard supermarket 227g bag of cafetière coffee grounds, 1200 ml of water, 12-15 hour brew. But before that, after much trial and error, even getting an electric burr grinder off ebay to make sure I had the coursest grind with my own beans - I would always get a silted up brew that would just not drain, unless I stired and scooped with a flexible spatula for nearly an hour.HOWEVER, everything works fine as long as you DO NOT STIR the grounds after adding the water - and stirring is a recommended step in OXO’s instructions. Now it drains freely (15-20 mins)and makes the cheaper coffee (£2.30 Sainsbury's Fairtrade Viennese Style, Strength 3, flavoured with fig. Fancy) delicious, smooth and dangerously convenient - know your limits...

This makes the best coffee we have ever tasted. it is a little time consuming but it is worth the wait. It is so good that we have stopped having coffee when we go to town or grocery shopping. Once you read the book and follow the instructions it really is worth the wait. This coffee is great cold over ice, hot and black, hot black with frothy milk on top, cold black with frothy milk on top, cold and black. It is even nice hot black with frothy milk and chocolate sprinkled on top.

This makes coffee concentrate which lasts for up to two weeks in the fridge. The taste of the coffee is smooth and less acidic than hot brewed coffee. Depending on how strong you like your coffee, you only need between 30-60mls of concentrate per cup. The mornings are a breeze as all you need to do is measure out the concentrate and add hot water. Also great served over ice, topped up with water or water and milk. My husband, my friends and I love it.

Makes a great cold brew.Easy to use, easy to clean, nice glass jar with stopper. The metal mesh filter stops most grind from seeping through. Can be stored in a compact way, after use.Takes up a bit of space on your workbench, but does fold up into a more compact format. Flask perhaps an unhelpful shape if you have a smaller fridge, like I do.Like the fact the flask is made from glass.

It does what it says , and good if you like mellow coffee ...it's a bit fiddly to use ,so sadly one of those gadgets consigned to the cupboard ...that's my fault not the product ....it is a bit of an ( expensive ) gimmick for me , but if you are really into cold press coffee it is well made & has useful collecting / storing jar ( glass!!) and is well made

The flask is a beautiful part of the design, but takes up a silly amount of space in the fridge for the amount of concentrate, and with the measure/ sealed lid in place, is too tall for any of my fridge shelves. Probably fine for an American-style fridge, but not for a standard British model.

very easy to use. great coffee too. I found, out of all major brands, Costa ground makes the best ice coffee. or at least closest to the shop ones.
