This is a good little French press (or cafetière) rated as 4-cup capacity, or 500ml in real money. According to the Taylors Coffee website a litre of water requires 60g of ground coffee, so the 'normal' dose for this nifty gizmo would be 30g. You vary this to taste. (Look for 'Coffee Science' in the 'Blog' section of the Taylors Coffee website.) I use a supermarket 'special' coffee when I want caffeine and Taylors Decaffé when I don't. The good folk at Taylors use a water process to extract the caffeine. (I am not on their payroll; I just like their style.)It works like all of them, but there are some points to note. I mention them because some other reviewers seem to have been caught out and in one case suffered a scalding water 'event'

Bodum are well known for their brilliant, quality products. This is no exception. It's nicely presented, its sturdy and makes a superior cup of Coffee. The pouring action is very nice indeed and its very smooth to filter through. Its easy to clean and store in the cupboard. The nice thing about the lid is that it adds an extra filter at the spout to make sure less remnants of the grinds end up in the cup.Bodum know their stuff in the coffee world and the little additions and features of this coffee maker really stand out. The build quality alone would make me buy one of these again in the future.

Great little french press, I bought this along with a Cusimax 140w grinder. It works just the way it should and looks good so I see no other reason than a 5 star review.Perfect for me as I only usually brew for 2 people at once. It can make 2 moderate to large cups, for 3 people though it would be a push and you would get 3 small cups, but then who the heck wants a small cup of coffee!This would be the perfect french press if you live alone, but if you are brewing for a few people then get a much bigger one

Perfect non complicated French press! Brought this as a replacement for my 5 year old other bodum which was amazing! The only thing I don't like is that the glass part is a bit tricky to take out of the plastic part , you need to put hot ish water in leave for a minute and then slowly pull it out and it comes out cleanly , not possible to do it any other way! Other then that it's a great product easy to use and clean the filter part. Definitely recommend!

I just love this coffee maker! The 4-cup size is more suitable for a couple. Our previous coffee maker's handle & outer design was attached to the jug, and made cleaning more difficult: I really like the way this one's jug is a separate entity making cleaning a dawdle (I also note that should it break, it can easily be replaced). The design is simple & pleasing to the eye, and the handle is a perfect size for ease of pouring.

Bought my husband one of these for his birthday. He's the only coffee drinker in the house so this model allowed him to have his one cup in the morning without having wastage. Unfortunately I dropped his first one in the sink, breaking the glass. I searched around for other sturdy models (he is very heavy handed) but came back to this one as it had done such a good job.

This is a great little coffee pot. I love it's chunky shape which is aesthetically pleasing, good to handle and it's sturdy base makes for safe tray carrying. On the advice of other reviewers I looked for a pot that would give 4 cups, which in reality is about 4 demitasse sized cups, but gives me two generous mugfulls. Very pleased.

It's Bodum, so as expected great product, no other company comes close to their quality and innovative products, from this to travel mugs, all drinkware through to their lesser known products like BBQ's and butter dishes that keep the butter chilled!The seller was great and with speedy delivery, thank you.

Stylish and sturdy coffee maker,black plastic casing gives more protection and looks better than metal surround type,glass is fine if (like anything)used properly,makes three good size mugs,a good buy.

Hasn't been tried yet as purchased as a gift for a friend but looks smart and will look great in their new kitchen. Looking forward to seeing it in use

Lovely item very easy to use. It’s quite sturdy and doesn’t knock over easily, very easy to clean too. Two large cups from this, perfect for me

Very handy, great design, & really practical. I use it as a tea pot and it works brilliantly. Easy to clean and all round it's perfect for me.

This is a really good french press pot. I got my first Bodum pot back in 1986 and it lasted until last year which is a pretty decent lifespan.
