This lipstick is the star for me. From the peculiar packaging to sponge applicator and beautiful finish, I love everything about these lipsticks, or lip puffs, lippies or how you want to call them.First, you squeeze a bit of the liquid lipstick from the tube on the sponge at the end and you buff the product on your lips. The smooth, satin liquid dries down to powder and adds your lips that completely matte, yet not dried up feeling. It’s also pretty long-wearing and fades to a stain.However, be warned that the round sponge applicator is not very precise. This is not a product that should be precise since the powder looks better faded out around the edges, but if you want more carved lips,use lip pencil underneath. You can also use this to create amazing faded ombre on your lips since it’s very buildable product.In Japan, there’s a very popular lip trend called reversed ombre, where you concentrate all the colour in the middle of your lips and leave the outline nude. This is the perfect product to do just that.My only problem with them is, that you probably run out of the product pretty quickly. I used the darkest shade (06 Pop Quiz) two times and it already feels like the tube is half empty. It’s probably because of the airy texture of the product and also because the sponge applicator soaks a lot of product in the process.

I like the color I got (pop quiz) but like other reviews say, you shouldn't trust the images or tube that come with it to give you a sense for what color it will be. On the website the color looks super dark (in the photos a dark maroon and in the color selector and almost brown-black), but it's actually much lighter and brighter, more like a red wine color. The color most similar to what you'll get on the website is the picture with all of the arms with color swatches on them, just expect the color to be a little lighter than that. I just went with a shade a knew would look good even if the color was potentially off- the images they give you of color are computer generated anyhow (I hope people know that).The product itself is a cute idea. You have to put on quite a bit to get the color to be dark. If you like to build up color from light to dark, or like to overlay colors I guess this would be a good product for you. Don't expect to get good edges out of it. I would use the applicator to put on most of it, but then a lip brush to do the edges. In terms of how well it dries I'd say it's pretty average. After about an hour it's dry enough but it will still leave a mark on a glass or will stain your boyfriend's face. I wouldn't use it if I was planning to eat right after anyway.

NYX kindly sent me this product for free as a thank you for being a loyal customer—it’s a really great program that they have for people who buy a lot of products from them, and it always feels like a really special gesture, so thanks NYX!This lippie feels like the same kind of formula as a liquid lipstick with with a bit more of a satiny finish. The color is really lovely and natural and fades pretty uniformly throughout the day so you don’t have to worry about it getting splotchy in you if you don’t have time to reapply. It’s also fairly drinking and eating resistant, which is always a great bonus!The only thing I don’t really get is the puffball itself. It’s hard to tell how much of the product you are actually squeezing out,and since the puffball is so big, you can’t be very precise with application. That being said, I’ve still found myself reaching for this lippie pretty consistently over the past week since the color is so lovely and it feels nice on the lips. I bought this product in-store in the color "Cool Intentions". This is my #1 FAVORITE lip shade, by far! I've tried lots of brands to find that perfect brownish-pink lip shade, but one that is not TOO pink. "Cool Intentions" hits the nail on the head, 100%! The powder puff applicator is NOT my favorite and I do SO wish that this exact shade were available in other forms of NYX's lip products. I had an employee help me in-store and found similar shades, but none as perfect for me as "Cool Intentions", so I guess I'll have to suck it up and deal for the color I want. <3 My 4-star rating is for the color and great, creamy, smooth texture of the lip cream itself,but I had to knock a star off simply for personal preference of not liking the powder puff applicator.

I've purchased three of these - Group Love, Pop Quiz, and Puppy Love - and I love each one of them. The Puppy Love has just enough orange undertones for what I'd been looking for, without giving me a "screaming" orange lip. Pop Quiz is a rich deep burgundy on me, perfect for fall and winter. And Puppy Love is a true red, with some blue undertones. Their fun and easy to use, and apply well with great color pay-off.My only issue is that there can be some transfer with it. I've gotten around it by doing a quick blot after my first application, then applying a little more. But that, to me, takes points off for value. I've been looking for the perfect shade for my new everyday lip color. I first bought a NYX lip gloss which was the right shade but I didn't want to wear high gloss everyday. So I went back to the beauty supply store to find a similar color but less gloss. I came across the Powder Puff Lippie Cream and fell in love. Just like cracking open a new CD (back in the day) as soon as I get in my car, I do my lipsticks the same way. It was my first time using a puff for application and I would definitely buy it again. The shade was immaculate and I get the matte look that I was looking for with out my lips feeling extra or sticky.My lips stay smooth like butta'....Looking forward to trying other shades of the Powder Puff Lippie Lip Cream.

I was so excited about this product and needed to try it right away! But I put off on it for a few weeks - or about a month. I saw videos in which youtubers would try it out and express how they loved it. I love the color payoff and it was pretty easy to use. Sometimes , the color would be off my lipline but it can be easily be wiped away. I decided to give it a four out of five since the first two times I tried it on my lips got pretty dry. Not drying but my lips started to feel like...it was peeling? I wasn't sure if it was the product or I just needed to put on some brown sugar lip scrub. But I love the colors I got, love the pay and love NYX products!

Okay so when I first saw this product I was very confused, it didn’t seem like it would work. I saw a bunch of reviews in YouTube and there were mixed feelings but now that I have personally tried it O can honestly say o love it!!!!!! It’s an innovative concept, like nothing other brands have out right now (because back in the 1900 powdered lipstick was a thing). It’s super creamy and it goes on like a dream. Downside? It’s a little hard to get out of the tube the first time and it doesn’t last as long as other nyx products do, but it feels great, smells amazing and the colors are super cute!!! Purchased Group Love and Moody, and WOW!!!! The texture once applied to the lips is unique! It goes on smooth and settles on the lips beautifully. While I love both colors, Moody is by far my favorite! It goes perfectly with my skin tone! I'm definitely gonna go back to the store and pick up some other colors. I do have a minor gripe: getting the product out of the tube the first time was a little annoying cos I had no idea how to dispense. You have to squeeze it till it comes out, which is kinda scary because i didn't want it to explode all over me. I had to do a lot of squeezing. Other than that, i give this product 12 thumbs up!

I'm not a huge fan of lipstick because of the thickness and texture, so I was pleasantly surprised after buying this lip cream! I usually go for colored chapsticks, but am so glad I gave this Powder Puff Lip cream a chance. It's lightweight but super effective, not too thick and comes in so many great colors. I just bought "Squad goals" because its closest to my natural lip color, and was so glad to see that it didn't apply too thick and still looked like I had some nice color on my lips. It did take a couple of swipes to really get the color on, but I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a lightweight matte lip color!

While I definitely wouldn't have chosen the color I was sent for my complexion, the formula was undeniable. Most liquid matte lipsticks have at least a little required drying time to get that matte finish, this goes on matte and sticks. It feels and looks more like a high end product than the drugstore brand Nyx is pigeonholed as, though I think the packaging and more specifically the applicator does feel a bit more drugstore than the product itself. I do like the matte finish on the tube, though, I think that adds to the overall appearance. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
