I bought this for my Nikon Z6 as a fill-in flash and am delighted with it. It is tiny, but fills a medium room with light. Just great for keeping in your pocket in case you need flash. I also have a Nikon SB-900 which is huge in comparison and definitely not portable in the pocket sense. OK so it only takes AAA batteries, but how big are these to carry some spares? Ken Rockwell doesn't merit this speed light, but for my purposes it is perfect. A brilliant, tiny, and useful flash for non-pro, non-studio work. Gets a great shot done quickly without fiddling to mount and set up a massive and highly conspicuous flash gun, when you don't want to look like a press photographer. Kudos to Nikon.

I already have Nikon SB 910 and SB 600 flash guns for my DSLR cameras but needed something a little more transportable for my Coolpix P7800. I did not consider any other makes as it seems pointless to spend money on a decent camera and then penny pinch to save a few pounds and stick a cheap flash on top.This item has a quality Nikon feel, comes in a fabric storage bag and works well. Does not take too much space, camera stays well balanced and it offers more power than the tiny built in flash.

I couldn't afford the really expensive Nikon speedlights.I thought the SB-400 was a bit clunkyIt's like Goldilocks and the three bearsthe SB-300 is just right.It's compact, It's intelligent, It's not too expensive.and so far I've had really, REALLY good results with it.but of course I'm basing this review on my own, flawed, amateurish, pictures.You have to buy the SB-300 and try it for Yourself !

when the flash arrived I was a little dubious about the size and thought maybe it would only work on close ups but I was wrong I have used this out doors as a fill in flash and in doors bouncing it off the ceiling . The product is very good value for money ( I bought it on offer at a reduced price) and works very well. all in all I am very pleased with it and can highly recommend it

What a great little tool ! When I mean little what I mean is.. you can hold it in the palm of your hand, small as a mobile phone. I deal for travelling abroad with which attracted me to this product and it packs a hell of a punch with a flash range up to 66 feet. No messing around with adjusting it to camera settings, it syncs with the camera seamlessly. Very happy with this.

Required a smaller flash unit to carry around with my Nikon camera rather than the SB900 which is my preferred flash. This ticks the right box for me and being a quality Nikon product it did not disappoint.

This is a neat flashgun which is helpful in low light situations when the inbuilt flash is not strong enough. Light enough to carry and it doesn't take up a lot of room.
