This flash has done everything i have asked of it i have not used the RT side and most likely wont need to however its nice to know i have it in case i do need it. The light form the bounced flash is superb, the recycling times are excellent there is no noise from the flash when recharging. I bought the flash after reading the reviews from different sites and users. It is larger and heavier than my previous flash but certainly easily hand hold-able for long periods and I am no hulk. I completely recommend this flash and cant see me needing to buy anything else.

This powerful flash is a strong source of light when needed in photographyBought it to use with my Canon EOS camera , happy with it so farThe overall body shape and ease of use very good for both learner sand professionals.Only problems found was batteries, alkaline batteries not of great useful source of power.Using eneloop rechargeable batteries, expensive.Canon should improve to Li-Ion batteries.Will still buy this if needed and personally recommend to photographers.

The Canon 600ex-RT is amazing.I have used it a few times now and it has consistent flash output (compared to my 430ex).The menus are very easy to navigate through.and most importantly, I had thought that this flash can only be used with the ST-E3 remote trigger, but infact this actually works with the ST-E2 remote trigger too, which means I can have both my 430ex and this beautiful 600ex rt Off camera.Recommend this flash to anyone!!

This flash unit is not for the faint hearted. It is very powerful but has so many possible settings that it can be a steep learning curve (especially if you are using it with the Canon Speedlite Transmitter ST-E3-RT - Sold separately).That said, once you have figured out the settings, it works very well and has plenty of battery life from 4 AA batteries.Overall I would not hesitate to consider this a worthwhile investment.

I got this (and two others) to replace 3x Yongnuo 600RT flashes (brand new) that SEEMED liked a good budget version but just kept failing to fire from time to time and ruining shots. This is a known issue with Yongnuo and you get what you pay for. The Canon ones are super reliable and just work every time, which is critical in the middle of a wedding when something happens and you absolutely need to get the shot.

Just moved up from the Canon 580EXii to this 600EX-RT and glad I have. I have been dapping with OCF and was having to use separate triggers to make it all work. Now with the 600EX-RT I only need 1 trigger (on camera) as the ‘receiver’ is already built in to the speedlite. I no longer need line of sight for the system to work. It’s MAGIC.

The 600EX-RT is a very powerful flash, in manual on full power it is stronger than the 580's.The zoom range covers 200mm which is ideal for conference photography, the recycle time is much faster and the controls are far more logical. Improving the user experience significantly. I'll definitely be buying more. . . Good job Canon.:-)

Previously used a Canon 540EZ, but it does not work on my 5D III, hence this purchase. Lets not get technical here, this flash is easy to use right out of the box. A huge manual which soon becomes redundant. I use this in conjunction with my 24-70L f2.8 and 70-200L f2.8. Perfect across the full spectrum.

Great flash and complete waste of value for money. Unless you need the wireless radio features buy the 580 instead at half the price. There is no benefit buying this one unless you don't mind wasting your money. This does everything you need for a flash unit, but then so does the 580.

Canon Speedlite 600EX-RT is the best flash i have used since i started photography 30years ago. Very consistent even in dark situations. was so frustrated with the 580MK II which were very inconsistent. This flash is miles ahead of the 580 in every department. highly recommended.

I've only had the Canon Speedlite 600EX-RT for a few weeks now. Have used it on a number of occasions and so far very pleased with the results. Definitely need more time to be able to play around with different settings etc, but very happy with the product.

Was looking at yongnuo 600 ii but a fraction of the price until I checked the reviews for canon 5d mk iv to find yongnuo flashes give problems so could not risk getting them glad I bought the canon flashes as they work perfectly every time peace of mind

Good quality, I don't have a good experience yet with this product but so far I think it worth the money for a master flash. I wish my batteries were lasting for a longer time maybe the only negative I would say.

I bought it because it was exactly what I was looking for. I mostly like the fact that Canon Speedlite 600EX-RT Shoe Mount Flash is a powerful tool and has the best performance, compared to similar products.

I bought this flash because previous model 580 EX II model has been discontinued and I need a long-range flash. It works great and with full TTL II support I can leave often all settings on my Canon EOS.
