Effective lens hood that also protects the 24-70 from knocks and bumps while mostly obviating the need for lens caps or (ugh) protective filters. Last one broke as the unpadded backpack I had my camera in fell out of the car onto asphalt. The lens hood mount was destroyed while leaving the lens complete unblemished.

At first I was dubious as the price was practically the same as the "made to fit nikon" alternatives but when you have a premium lens you may as well get the genuine article, as this is.Arrived surprisingly promptly, fully Nikon-boxed. Is identical to the one that I broke that came with the lens.

Unfortunately I lost the one that came with the lens. This was an identical product, delivered on time as specified and excellent quality. Brilliant service. Thank you

Thank you for a splendid lens hood. It was a good item for the price. It is good to have this way of buying items like this.

A bit costly, but completely worth the money. I made the mistake of buying a cheaper alternative, never again.
