Got this for under a hundred pounds which was fabulous. Been thinking about getting one for a while but as were only need limited functionality I went for the “E”.The app instructions are very thorough except for 2 areas where I feel foul due to slightly opaque instruction steps, shared for you here so you don’t fall in the same traps!1) when plugging the white thermostat into a wall socket for the first time, don’t panic if nothing happens for an hour! The instructions show it glowing instantly with a “house” symbol but mine was dead! Turned out it has an internal battery than needs charging so leave it until it lights up.2) be aware the terminal blocks it comes with (2 pairs)

It totally transformed the heating of my house. A very well made product and being able to put the thermostat anywhere in the house as long as is near a socket is brilliant. My original stat was is the hall but was influenced massively by the kitchen which is cold so it struggled to keep a constant temperature and kept clicking on and off but now putting it in the lounge it works great. Very easy to install yourself whatever thermostat you have and functions are superb. Highly recommend.

I fitted mine in 5 minutes. It was one of only 2 that would easily replace a 240v thermostat. So no engineer required, which kept the price down. It works great, my only gripe is that you cannot set the schedule to come on at a fixed time, instead it predicts how long it will take and comes on early or late depending on outside temp. This can be annoying when it wakes you up half and hour early cos it's minus 2 outside ! Maybe will come in an update. Other than that is a no brainer

Fitted it myself and was very straight forward, only took me 30 mins. I liked the frosted screen and not too bright as it is located in the bedroom.Compare to the 3rd gen Nest, this has a build in stand so no need to buy a extra stand and its cheaper.If you only need to control the heating via an app or on the actual thermostat then this is for you...if you want heating and water control then get the 3rd gen. It also works with google home assistant but not with Alexa.

Got lot of useful functionality to control heating at home and remotely. very simple to install.but only works with combo systems. The thermostat downloads all the info from the internet and the battery operated heat link unit replaces the room thermostat. As most thermostats have only 2 wires it’s is easy. If u have a time clock set it to constant on if U don’t want to remove it. Took me less than 30 minuets to do the lot.

If you buy this for the UK, don't look up the comparability etc online. Just follow the app. The information is all mixed in with the American one. Following the app I did it in 30 mins. If you contact the official installer, cost about £70. Either way it's very good value. Does not seem to work with Alexa though.

Thermostat is great as we can adjust the temperature from our phones. The nest app does use a lot of power from my phone though and I wish the one part was wireless / battery operated so we could take it into the rooms that we are in rather than being stuck with it plugged in one place. Overall it's okay.

Great device. Nice build quality. Connection easily made to the heater via the HeatLink.Only issue would be with the Nest business model. You can't make this device show the time or date on the screen. Fort this you special feature you have to buy the more expensive Nest :)

I was concerned about a self-install but a quick online chat with Nest support and I was happy it could be done. Two weeks in and I'm convinced it's evened out the heating, and will be bringing savings. If you're considering but not sure, just get one.

Looks great and so easy to install right out of the box. The heat link looks great on the wall. Easy to programs but does come with a default schedule to help you get started.

I know the cost of the unit is expensive compared to a regular thermostat but by the time pay for a plumber to install it it comes out about the same cost

Very easy to install & useful integration with smart devices. If you don’t need a bright display to stare at all the time its a cheaper option.
