I Bought this to replace the Honeywell T6360 Analogue Thermostat, as it cracked in the centre and was looking to replace it with a more accurate one, I have to say that the RT300 is easy to fit, just unscrew the old place and screw the 3 wire installation from the previous one over, Red to Live, Black (Neutral) to Switched Live, and Green/Yellow to Earth pins, easily installation even for the novice, just remember to isolate the thermostat power before doing so though! Standard Back plate easily removed and swapped over. remember to tighten the screws under the new RT300 when applied and set the new temp, takes a few seconds to click on and there is a Flame Icon saying the boiler is switched on and currently heating,You should be able to hear your boiler switch on the same time, Excellent and Very Accurate, as the old thermostat was very inaccurate and either too cold or too hot, I am glad I purchased this and at this time of year! Only Small Snag was the batteries it came with were not very good, install brand new ones anyway, as I would have done in any case! Excellent Purchase, You can't go wrong!

A bit apprehensive at buying pure electronic aided room stats, and was thinking of going wireless. No problem with this particular make and model. Easiest and quickest change around and setup of a room thermostat. This RT300 replaced a couple of years old mechanical Drayton, (not cheap at the time), but I did not agree that to set it to 24-26 degrees to keep comfortable throughout my house was ridiculous. Removing the old stat and installing the new one took about 10-15 minutes. Setup was a doddle and now set room temp at 20*C, (getting ready for those chilly nights), but the room where the RT300 is situated stays at about 21*C. I think this has been mentioned in other reviews: If you have a 3 wire controlled room stat,'DO NOT CONNECT THE NEUTRAL WIRE!' fix the Neutral into a 5 Amp Terminal Block and tuck it away. The instructions supplied do warn about this. I personally think I will make a saving on my heating bill. The RT300 can be set in .5* C steps so can be adjusted to suit any comfortable temperature. I thoroughly recommend this product and the supplier.

I bought this item to replace another digital thermostat that was fine, but I wanted one with a smaller temperature span to operate within. The salus is +/- 0.5 deg.C by default, and is one of a small number of thermostats that offer such tight temperature control. It was very easy to install, having an industrial standard backplate, I was able to use the existing holes. Wiring is simple, and once powered up, all you have to do is set it to your required temperature. It really couldn't be simpler. My one slight criticism is that the packaging could perhaps be better to take account of the fact that it is going through the postal system, and is bound to be subject to knocks. There wasn't any special protection around the box containing the unit, and all that the box had in it was stiff cardboard. However that said, it arrived ok and is up and running!

We bought this great value digital thermostat to replace our builder-installed mechanical thermostat after we got fed up with the +/- 2 degrees tolerance not doing a very good job at warming and keeping our house warm. After some confusion about which wire went where it was up and running within 15 minutes and the difference is staggering. Previously, our mechanical thermostat would click off at -2 degrees and then, by Sod's Law, not click off the next time until +2 degrees. We couldn't win! On its first day of full use, this Salus thermostat has kept the room temperature at 20.5 degrees with the temperature set to 20 degrees so we are very happy with that, and bizarrely enough we haven't even noticed the boiler kicking in during the day......it's magic! :-). And the clicking on and off noise isn't noisy at all. Perhaps I'm deaf ;-)

Despite the universal backplate , the holes were not in the same place as a Danfoss fitted professionally 1 year ago. Luckily it fitted the holes of an earlier model. It is easy to make a quick poor connection to the Salus with a straight wire but it took me a good 30 minutes to get a sound dependable connection with the wires hooked round the screw.I had a three wire connection but the colours were standard and it was easy to google the correct procedure. The Danfoss had +/- swing of 6degrees despite being new and i can see and feel the difference already.NB the battery cover has to be in place to complete the circuit-i thought mine was broken till i realised what the problem was.I had left it off as it was so stiff and i didnt want to stress the backplate fittings by struggling to get in on and off.

I decided on one of these over a programmable device simply because the boiler already has a programmer. This is very very easy to install and has increments of 0.5 of a degree. The difference over the mechanical dials is amazing. The heating is perfectly regulated to your desired temperature and the house feels warm as a result. Previously it seemed like the boiler was chugging away constantly but now it clicks on and off when required. I'm sure I'm saving money! If you feel too warm or too cold the unit can be adjusted simply by moving the set point at the touch of a button either up or down. For example, if at the weekend I decide to have the heating on all day,I usually adjust it down from the normal 20.5C to 19C then move it back in the evening when we're settling down. Simples :)

I bought this as our existing "dial" type thermostat was very old and not very accurate. Using the digital setting means you are more precise with your heating system, when it reaches the temperature it goes off, when it drops below it comes back on, the heat is more of a comfortable setting within the house and is not wasting gas. The device itself was easy to fit other than our existing system had 3 wires and this one only has 2 wires to fit so we looked it up on the internet to determine which wire to isolate and fitted the other 2. It worked 2nd time of asking as we found the wires sometimes slip out of the fixing so be sure to screw them tightly into place.I would recommend this product to anyone wanting a digital thermostat.

WOW this item was delivered by post next day, thats serviceBought this after some research to replace an old broken bellows type. Installation took all of 15 minutes, using standard sized removable backplate fixed using existing screws and connected using simple existing 2 wire connection. Set switch on back of main box to select either 0.5 or 1 degree increments then clip box to backplate and install the batteries, job done. How to set thermostat temperature etc is well illustrated in the provided booklet. I set to 0.5 deg incs and after a couple of months in use i can say the Salus wired thermostat keeps very tight control of boiler use, it has a healthy click when it operates.I can recommend this device.

Easy to fit as replacement for old analogue thermostat (industry standard holes so used old wall plugs, no drilling needed). Two wire connection plus earth as before (I had a fourth wire which was redundant). Really easy to set desired room temperature and see actual temp to compare.House temperature now has much more precise control with this stat switching on/off at 0.5deg above or below set temperature. The old one would have been +/- 2deg i.e. a 4 deg range - hopeless, and explains why it tended to be used like a manual switch rather than an automatic thermostat. The only thing I don't understand is why I waited so long to buy & fit this as a replacement!

Bought the Salus RT310i for a new Vorkera Easi Heat 29 c.(fitted in the loft space) It took less than 45 minutes to wire up and setup the remote and wifi functions. It is programmable only via the app and works flawlessly. Search for the instructions and it will give you an insight as to what it is capable of. I thought I would have to pay 2 or 3 times the priceYou can control it from more than devise, so you and your partner can use it independently from your phones or tablets. It also comes with a room thermostat that can be wall mounted or use the stand that is supplied. I am very happy with it and at this price it is a great bargain.

So simple to install. It replaced an older Honeywell bi-metallic strip thermostat. All I needed to do was replace the old moutning back plate with the none supplied here. Keep careful note of the wire connections from the old plate, and reconnect to same named connections on new plate. Typically only two wires involved. Then install the batteries, and clip on the face plate, and tighten up carefully the secure screw underneath. Unit now shows what the current environmental temperature is (which I never had before). Just by touching the up/down keys you can change your set point for heating to activate. Simples . . !

Used two of these to replace a couple of analogue thermostats on a dual zone system, as one of them wasn’t switching properly.Easy to fit and use. It doesn’t have many features aside from setting the temperature and a 5 degree anti-frost setting. The plastic mounting plate screws onto a standard back box.Batteries supplied were two Duracell alkaline AAs, which was a nice surprise. If you’re looking for a quick digital replacement of old thermostats, these are fine, if a little bulky.Low cost means I won’t be too upset when I replace them with a smart system later on.

The Salus RT300 is my company’s preferred room thermostat if the client just wants to have simple controls there are only three buttons on this thermostat the two on the right hand side are the temperature up and down buttons when one is pressed pushed the display Will illuminate and show you what temperature you are setting .after taking your hand off the display will read the current temperature of the room. The button on the left short press will illuminate the screen. Long press is frost protection if you go on hols

Because the old rotary Honeywell thermostat seemed to be two or three degrees out one way or the other and I was always having to nudge it either 'Up' or 'Down', I thought maybe a digital thermostat with a tolerance of +/- 0.5 degrees would be more accurate....and yes, it is! The house is now a regular 20 degrees and consistently comfortable and I am aware of the device switching more often than the old Honeywell. Our system is a hard wired twin cable and earth and as a result, very simple to wire up.

I bought this to replace the old rotary thermostat I was never sure worked correctly, and to help monitor my fuel usage now its so expensive. I really like the way you can see your room temperature at all times with this one, also the icon that tells you if the boiler is running or not. According to two thermometers I have tested with the read out on the switch it is totally accurate as well. It has a slight click when switching but this is not loud enough to be annoying sat in the same room as it.
