Wiring a room thermostat is a bit of a pain as you have to run a pair of live wires to the location in the room you want the thermostat placed. This one looks completely conventional but it runs on a couple of AA cells and links via radio.You could just screw it to the wall but I bought this because it's mobile. I can give it to a member if the family who often feels cold and she can have full control of the room temperature. I've set the heating to always on and so she can turn the heating off by setting a lower temperature. It just stands on the table next to her bed.Wiring this up was easier than expected. The heating runs off a time clock which sends a heating or hot water signal to the pump and valve.

We have struggled for 3 years, with a 'super, up to date' worlds most complicated thermostat supplied with a new boiler. It has been a nightmare to use : 5 different settings per day; 5 different temperatures per day ! also for 7 different days of the week ! Plus it has several pre set programs in it...so if you've missed out your own setting, it causes it to just turn on at random, day or night ! That's now binned !This simple Salus ERT20RF is absolutely perfect. Analogue. Just a turn of the dial; on; on a bit more; turn back a bit...simples, this is all you ever need in a thermostat. Plus we didn't have to re-wire it in, as it is wireless!

Bought a property with a new heating system that didn't have a room stat only rad valves. Wiring to the hallway would have been difficult or unsightly. The Salus ERT was the perfect answer and was easy to fit. How long the batteries last in the roomstat I don't yet know. Power has had to be switched off a number of times and the radio connection always reconnected.

Easy installation with no hard hard wiring or mess this thermostat could not be easier to set up and it works perfectly. The only thing stopping me from giving five stars is that, unlike the digital versions, it does not have a rear support bracket for free standing in the room. The picture shows it at an angle but it has to stand upright or be fixed to the wall.

We struggled for a year with a complicated programable thermostat installed at the same time as a new boiler. Having had enough of heating which seemed to have a mind of its own, we took a chance at this relatively cheap device and are so glad we did!Simple DIY installation and we now have controllable, reliable central heating. Very pleased!!

Lightweight and portable.We like moving it around the house especially on winter mornings. About 30 minutes prior to arising we swich it on from our bedroom.When it is time to get up the house is lovely and warm.Excellent product worth the money. Helps you save money on your heating bills as you are only paying for heat when it is needed

Bought to replace the dreadful Salus RT310RF programmable thermostat which took ages to react to any settings inputted and also to temperature changes.This is still slow but far better and best of all can use the receiver already installed for the Salus RT310RF so no wiring needed and a spare receiver is there if needed.Recommended.

From box to install took 14 minutes, pairing was a few seconds, working within 15 minutes! Simple and good quality, value for money this is a good product and quite robust built too. I recommend this to replace any wired thermostat, it works over 3floors of my house no problems. Excellent!

Quality product, a bit difficult to wire up the receiver as wiring straight to box , not backplate as with other makes, however perseverance was worth it as will be more reliable, very easy to pair and set up, very quickly starts and stops , no delay. Very pleased and would recommend

I already had the Salus digital version but decided to change it for the manual control. It was fitted in just a few minutes and it worked perfectly, now I can just turn the knob to the desired setting and leave it and to turn it off just turn it to a low setting. Very pleased.

Quick delivery easy to install and sync. The thermostat is easy to turn. As some of the other feedback suggest there is a bit of lag in the switching. Fitted for an old lady who could not adjust a programmable timer and was either too hot or too cold. Now she has control.

Bought this to replace a really complicated to use thermostat that was in a property we have recently bought.This thermostat was easy to link to the boiler and great value for money. Fast delivery too.The heating is now far easier to control!

What's not to like?Good product at a good price.Delivered on time.Easy to fit, but it does require a basic knowledge of electrics. 'Think you should use a qualified electrician if your not totally sure'.

Purchased for an neighbour whom was experiencing problems using newly installed boiler with electronic smart timer reverted too this simple too use RF type reduced the amount of knocks on my door lol
