So, espresso from a machine... I was nervous buying this but so glad I did. It nailed the espresso job 10 out of 10, smooth but with a strong velvety finish!! So good I want another most times.Being that it was so good, I thought I'd try making my normal coffee house latte at home, heating the milk in the microwave, skimming the skin off the top of the hot milk before finishing with a single hit of this super espresso! It settles as it does in the coffee shop (in layers, coffee on top of milk). A quick stir and you have an latte in your hand. Alternatively, using a small mug, heat a little milk at the bottom (or don't), then run the machine all the way to the top making this a long espresso like a cortado. The taste is great and it keeps its smoothness and flavourThis is such a great espresso that I have ordered it quite a few times now and never been disappointed. Buy this, you will love it.

Dark, intense with wonderful aromas of hazelnut and liquorice - NonsenseA short, robust espresso that has a smoky aroma with a deliciously peppery aftertaste - GarbageDoes it taste like espresso? It's very, very close and this is a review for a capsule which can be used in a dolce gusto machine which most coffee taste fairly insipid, its very much as good as you can hope for and by that I mean it's great. Id be happy to have it were it served short enough, its lovely but dont try to squeeze out too much, it is what it is. As a single espresso its great, dont dilute it try to make a latte or whatever.Bottom line is its as close to actual coffee as you are getting from a dolce gusto and itsactually damn good.

Well, I've tried loads of the pods since I got my Dolce Gusto machine in an Amazon deal, and this is the only one that I order now. It's a really, really good cup of coffee. I have it as a normal size cup, adding milk. I also have to add hot water from the kettle, as I find the water in the machine isn't hot enough for me, I like a HOT coffee! It has a genuine Italian aroma and flavour, and delivers a strong hit of caffeine. My only question is, how are you meant to dispose of the pods? Do you just put them in your rubbish? Seems like we are littering the planet with these things, wonder if they can be recycled in any way, or if there is a greener version?

Hands down, this is THE best espresso that Nestle offers for the Dolce Gusto system. The others pale by comparison! It's rich, flavorful and with no excess acidity or bitterness. I've tried numerous espresso capsules for the much more expensive Nespresso line and they are undrinkable to me. Then I thought I'd try the Dolce Gusto system and I had started to give up hope until I found the Ristretto Ardenza blend. Unfortunately, Nestle feels this is unsuitable for the American palette and it's not sold in the US. They may have a point, though, because if you think Espresso from Starbucks is delicious, this coffee is not for you.

Strong and flavoursome, Dolce Gusto Ristretto Ardenza is one my favourite options on Dolce Gusto collection of flavours. At an amazing price, especially if you subscribe for it, I do not bother anymore looking for compatible brands of coffee pods that may put my machine at risk and sometimes does not taste any good.If you are looking for a good, flavoursome and strong espresso coffee, Dolce Gusto Ristretto Ardenza is the perfect option to you!

Personally I like a super intense strong black coffee. I'm always on the hunt for a more intense pod. My go to pod is the Grande Intenso, but how can you not be tempted by an 11 out of 10 intensity score? I was surprised to find that it was a little too bitter because I like bitter. I don't feel like the gain in intensity is worth the sacrifice in smoothness. The Grande Intenso is still, for me, better when you make it up to around 50ml.

These coffee pods, Ristretto Ardenza, are really nice, it is another great addition to a large range of pods from Dolce Gusto. These are supposed to be really small espresso cups of coffee (the box says 35ml of water), I do it slightly larger and it is as good as my other favourites, which are, Espresso Intenso and Grande Intenso. I really enjoy my morning coffee to be black and strong and Ristretto Ardenza does this job superbly.

Since i got these, i don't take my coffee out any more, it is just not as good as the one i now make at home. At first i tried with different types of capsules for this machine and thought machine is not good, but once i got Ristretto Ardenza capsules i just loved them. I got both Ristretto Ardenza and Barista and both are great, I keep purchasing Ristretto Ardenza as it is higher level on strength.

I must admit that I use these pods as a long drink as opposed to the suggested two bars.I find that they are ideal first thing in the morning for a good hit of caffeine to start my day. In regards to flavour, I find the flavour pleasant, although my wife feels that it is is too strong for her liking and perhaps a little bitter.Ideal for me and better for an American than the Americans pods.

Being a black coffee drinker, I love most of these stronger coffee pods and to be honest can't really tell them apart. That said, I'd not tried the Ristreto Ardenza before and they're my new favourite for now. I also love the Bold Morning. Wish the pods were recyclable though.Update - the price has gone from £11+ to £18+ so won't be ordering again in a hurry.

I have had my current Dolce Gusto machine for a couple of years now, and my previous coffee machine was also a Dolce Gusto. Over the years I have been using Dolce Gusto pods this particular choice is the very best flavour I have come across. If you like your coffee strong but without the bitterness I fully recommend this product.

Perfect Ristretto - deep, smooth and rounded with a good strength but no bitterness. Delicious - as it is or with a splash of cream/milk or a creamer pod for a longer coffee. Three boxes - 48 pods in total = 48 coffees. Well priced from Amazon. Very well presented and packaged with excellent Amazon delivery too.

Of all the NESCAFÉ Dolce Gusto coffee capsule labels, my clear favourite is the Barista (grey label) followed by the Ristretto Ardenza (dark blue label).Much, much better than any instant coffee, and not as good as freshly grounded coffee beans, but still good value and good taste. Very convenient and easy.

Good strong tasty coffee goes a long way, if you add more water.I had my first two cups yesterday before 3pm and could not believe how it awakened me. I was still cleaning the house at 1pm, cleaning under the bed while my partner was snoring! Its best not have more than one before 11 am for me.

Got these to make my own Cappuccino with some Dolce Gusto milk pods purchased separately. They work great for that but I also love the taste on its own. Strong smooth and not at all bitter. Glad I got three boxes as the experience is over way to quick with the recommended 35ml
