OK, maybe not for life, but this Maggi gravy once properly cooked off according to instructions remains bain-marie stable - that means, you can keep your meat and gravy warm either in a bain-marie, or a hot cupboard, or on top of the stove, and the gravy will not break down.Lots of gravy mixes, granules etc., aimed at the home cook make a very nice tasting and thick gravy for the first few minutes after you make it. *But*, after a very short period of keeping it warm the same gravy simply breaks down to a watery looking fluid. This does not happen with Maggi gravy mix. It remains just as you cooked it for however long you decide to keep it warm.I have now said goodbye to the "Twins" who say and promise,

I couldn't wait to try this based on some of the reviews I had seen. It. took a bit of time to get here from Europe so if you purchase this be prepared for that. Upon making it I noticed the creamy top layer which I just love. The taste was smooth, rich & almost caramel-like. I didn't notice any bitterness or acidity which is a big turnoff for me when it comes to coffee. It's a lighter to medium roast so it's not an intense or robust cup of coffee. I really like that at the bottom of the box you are given the production date & the expiration date so you know it's fresh. My production date was 12/10/2015 & the expiration date is 10/31/016. I purchased it December 24, 2015! Talk about fresh.

I used this first time yesterday. Texture brilliant colour rich and delicious looking taste ........... not there At this moment in time I would consider buying again if I could just know how to get some taste.Changed my rating to 4 rather original 3. I made again. And made thicker. Altered taste completely. I served this to husband twice now, no comments about 1st time said he liked the gravy and had no idea what gravy it was3rd review. I’ve just purchased second tub. I make thick every time and with leftover I freeze as I follow instructions and makes too much for just 2 of us. Also a great time saver to get out of freezer night before for another roast.

I purchased this gravy as it was a favourite of ours at a long time cafe we used to visit. The cafe has since closed down so I bought this last month. The use by/sell by dates are pretty shocking so will only get a few months for such a big tub. I've shared this out with family so it gets used up. I love the flavour but it us such a faff mixing it as it easily gets lumpy I have to boil water and very slowly add small amounts with a whisk otherwise it's a mess.

Easily the best gravy mix I've tried. Tastes fantastic. Meaty and thick, not too salty. Great as it is, but if you add meat juices or onion or a little butter or herbs or wine or whatever, you'd be in gravy heaven.Not sure what the difference is between this one (makes 26L) and the one that makes 30L. I don't know if the ingredients are slightly different or if it's just the instructions for mixing it up.

I used this gravy mix over 30 years ago and have been unable to find it in any of our local supermarkets. I am so happy to have found it on Amazon, I'm now back to using my all time favourite gravy mix. It's just as good as it was all those years ago. I have tried all the other gravy mixes and nothing compares to Maggi. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed. For all gravy lovers everywhere.

We first tried Coffee Cortado in Spain as it is one of their popular coffee drinks, it is good that we can now still enjoy it over here.No grumbles with the product, but because it was posted from abroad the postage cost more than the product. I think because of this I will wait until it is available over here. however I find that I can buy this product in Spanish Supermarkets

Brilliant gravy - best ever but just a shame that we have to send to Germany for it. Used to buy this many years ago but not seen it for a long time so really pleased to have found it again on Amazon.I have tried countless gravies in my time but nothing can beat Maggi. If Amazon keep stocking it, I should never run out again - thank you. A must for gravy lovers everywhere.

Modern supermarket bought instant gravy granules are convenient and do the job as a food lubricant and alleged flavour enhancer, but in my opinion tastes of what it is: something made in laboratory.Magge Original gravy takes more effort (you need to boil water *and* simmer on hob) but the effort is worth it.The best commercial gravy powder I've ever tasted.

I love to drink decaffeinated coffee at night and this is perfect! It is creamy and although decaf, it still has that coffee kick flavour that you get from non decaffeinated coffee. I do not have very often as I think sugar is added so perhaps the makers should produce an unsweetened version of the same. Otherwise v pleased.

Absolutely the best gravy mix on the market. My mother (German born) used it and passed the secret on to my wife 45 years ago. At that time it was quite difficult to obtain and even up to five years ago we had to make special trips to a wholesaler fifty miles away. Thanks for stocking it Amazon.

My nana used to buy this year's ago when I was a child.It is by far the best gravy out there. So easy to make, I just make up what I need and the best thing is it stays thick and isn't grainy like the leading brand..It also tastes great when you use the juices from your meat roast.

Local chippy always had this tasty gravy, one of the girls told me it was maggi’s, so ordered it. She was right, real tasty gravy. You won’t be disappointed. ?certainly won't last 2 years as per previously mentioned, looking to order another tub soon
