In terms of capsules I've tried more than I care to count.I've had:- Nespresso, Lor, Jacobs, Dolce gusto, Solimo, Consuelo, Notte, Mercadona, I've tried tesco, asda and sainsburys, I even went hiking to search the upper frontiers of the palacial waitrose, And once,... once I even tried one called VARIETY PACK! And this still beats them...Now that's risky business for a coffee drinker.Why? Because I am a huge, really huge coffee fan, no, actually I'm a connoisseur!!I am not an idiot however. I won't pay silly money just because of packaging, I'm after your bean not your bag!And?.... This coffee is great.If great coffee is that cat poop covered stuff which seems to get 10/10 from everyone(which i'd personally give an 8)

I have tried numerous makes of compatable pods for years now and usually come back to buying L'or or Kenco and sometimes CafeDirect ones from supermarkets when they have them on offer at £2 per box of 10. I have found that other cheaper ones on Amazon from Italy etc are just not decent coffee and usually end up flooding the kitchen top because of overflow through the machine. However, I can now suggest you try the Jacob brand of pods which I see at least on par and maybe even slightly better than L'or. The capsules are extremely similar in design/build and taste. The only reason I have only given 4 rather than 5 stars is because of the red strength 6 pods we found to be very weak which is a personal taste thing but then again this is my review.

So far I've tried a lot of capsules for my nespresso machine. The best are the nespresso ones but also the most expensive and the price difference doesn't justify the taste difference from other quality brands. For many months now I was buying the Lor ones, so I thought to give the jackobs a try. Overall, the jackobs are better than the Lor. More details from my comparison below :Colour: The Lor are a tad darker which indicates a darker roast. However, the difference is minimal.Taste: The tasting profile is very very similar. The big difference is in the acidity. The Lor has a lot more, which in comparison with the much smoother Jackob it makes it unpleasant.Crema: The lor produce more crema which also stays for longer,

Made by the Dutch coffee company Douwe Egberts this is a great coffee. Good as original Nespresso pods are they are a bit expensive and at almost half the price these Jacob's pods are of an equal standard. I have tried many of the alternatives and most were rubbish. These espresso pods give a rich flavoursome brew with a good crema and full but not bitter flavour. The L'Or brand now available in supermarkets are also made by Douwe Egberts but again these are almost half the price of L'Or and think are superior to those , good as they are. They do have a slight Mocha taste of which I would have said in the past I was not keen on. However these pods give a strong but not bitter brew.

I had been buying the Jacobs instant coffee which can be bought in a jar. I had to really hunt around to find the instant coffee and I absolutely love it. I have a coffee machine at home and the idea popped into my head to check if they did coffee pods too. I was so happy to find that they did and even happier when they arrived. The taste is fantastic and very flavoursome. After finding this, I will never buy coffee from any other place now. The coffee tastes fantastic and it is sold at a reasonable price. Other companies charge about £0.43 per pod and the coffee tastes awful. This is a great value for money and I would definitely recommend this.

Very nice coffee for the price and recyclable aluminium capsules too which makes a change from most bar original nespresso and lor.i would say the flavour isn’t quite as good as nespresso but very close on some blends and for half the price of nespresso I def won’t be complaining at the taste difference.i would also say these are about on par with the lor pods for flavour and price so if looking for a cheaper alternative to nespresso and still want good flavour and aluminium pods then I would recommend trying both these and the lor pods to decide which are for you as I found these two brands the next best to nespresso.

I think this the best capsule coffee on Amazon!. I've tried Starbucks, it's good, but expensive. All other brands are pretty bland but this Jacobs Aluminium espresso 12 ristretto is excellent full of flavour with no watered down taste or "dishwater taste " It actually works best on the Lungo with excellent balance of flavour and crema. I am reluctant to give this a great review as i imagine the price will go up but at £19.99 its great value . Definitely my favourite. Happy to promote this and recommend it

I have been ordering these in the past few months. I generally like their taste, some colours more than others. For example red, brown, and the orange ones have a smoother taste. In comparison to other brands suchs as Lor and Starbucks I do prefer these more for their taste and price which is slightly cheaper. They are of course aluminium pods and very well packaged. I have a nesspresso latissimo machine. I definitely recommend them.

Jacobs Expresso Intenso 10 coffee capsules are the best flavoured as well as the best priced alternative toNespresso's own capsules making them my perfect everyday coffee. With such a good value price and such excellent quality ( they work as well as Nespresso's own capsules in my Inissia machine) I will be making regular purchases and look forward to trying their Lungo capsules as well.

I love my coffee. When I want a coffee I don’t mind spending the extra few minutes to make it. I get bored of drinking the same coffee so I’m always on the lookout for different kinds of coffee. When I saw Jacobs had Nespresso pods I just had to try them. As I got a selection of strengths they suit a lot of tastes. Love this coffee. Am looking forward to trying out more of the strengths.

These Jacobs coffee pods are excellent . I rate them highly. The coffee is as good as Nespresso; The price for the Jacobs coffee pods much more reasonable however. In Germany these pods are sold in Aldi and Lidl, and the price is better still. Apart from Nespresso coffee pods, which I buy very occasionally, the Jacobs coffee pods beats all competitors ! Definitely value for money.

Really good product, coffee is a nice mix and you can definitely taste the difference in strengths.Works perfectly with my Nespresso machine, no jamming and always a full cup (depending on size chosen).Great value for money and a nice selection. Will 100% order again. Highly recommend for all coffee lovers.

Fell in love with Jacobs coffee (instant) a few years ago when in Turkey and bought the odd jar from Polish shops in the UK. Was so amazed to hear of these available for my machine. DELICIOUS!!!! As good or better than anything I've previously used in the machine and will certainly be ordering again.

I chose these aluminium pods as I have tried several other types of compatible plastic pods which often do not work. Being made like the branded pods work really well, taste good and on special offer were amazing value. They must be recyclable too ! A good buy all round, am loving my morning coffees

Happy with the quality and freshness of the product. Flavour not as rich as L'or capsules.it is my second best so far.will buy again unless Lo's capsules are on a discount/ SaleI do highly recommend it for others as it is much better than many compatibles on the market
