Ok I admit that I was undecided for a few minutes if I give this review 5 stars or 4 ... I explain the reasons for 'cause a person who writes a review of a coffee', whose pack of 100 pods costs less than 20 euros , it should even reason so much ...The point is that buying a coffee is not really a joke, coffee is our moment of pause, a moment of sharing with friends and colleagues, a good meal or maybe just a ritual but it must surely be ENJOYABLE!I'm just a fan of coffee, mind you I said passionate and not connoisseur, so take my evaluation with the necessary pincers.Clearly I prefer the espresso bar, which in London ... let's forget it's better, so I use the moka at home, when I can,but at the office? Nespresso machines are the masters.Nespresso coffee? Honestly, I removed some mixtures, I do not like it ... and moreover it's too expensive. I coffee, if I can, I also offer it to the postman, and 'the business card of Italy and I want to go proud.I bought various mixtures of various brands here on Amazon, I have not hit any of these, until now.Yes, driven by the number of positive reviews, I bought this mixture Blue (and the next I'll try 'will be' the "gold") of the Bourbon coffee.Arrived a very short time, only 2 working days from Italy, I was immediately struck one thing, each capsule and 'individually packaged, how nice! At the opening of every single pack a perfume is released which is a real pleasure for the sense of smell!I insert the capsule in the machine and ... a bad noise comes from the car ... I think that some plastic capsules are not of the highest quality ... however, the coffee finally starts to come out.Very little foam but also with the original Nespresso is not 'that is so much.Taste the coffee and I must say that it is really good, pleasant to the taste, fragrant, neither so strong but not so light, really balanced.Well if you are a lover of strong coffee I think you have to go to the "red" or "black" variant to what the manufacturer's website says, instead if you want an "all hours" coffee and "for all occasions" "I really think this is the best I've ever tried (for now) on a Nespresso machine.Why was I undecided about the number of stars? Well because, as I said, I am hesitant about the quality of plastic capsules and then because I would like to try other Borbone coffee blends to draw up a personal ranking.But in the end, as I was about to write these few lines, with my freshly sipped blue Borbone coffee, the fifth star lit up on its own.Really really good, friends try it!

I am Italian myself and I was introduced to Caffè Borbone BLUE Blend from my Mum.Let's make it clear, the proper and traditional italian way to make coffee is with moka machine (caffettiera) if you do it at home.As it takes patience in regards of preparation and waiting time before your coffee is ready to drink my Mum decided to give a try to capsuled coffee purchasing a Inissia De Longhi machine, me on the other hand I purchased a Nespresso by Krups Inissia XN100140 (both machines are compatible for Nespresso capsules)She suggested me to go for this coffee brand as after trying multiple well known Italian coffee capsuled brands she finally found the best alternative and the best match for hertaste which sped up the process and freed up time.She then introduced my 4 aunties as well including my grandma which until now they are very happy in drinking this blue coffee blend.Bear in mind for a box of 100 capsules in Italy you pay €25, here instead is cheaper even though the price has been recently raised up as I used to buy for £12.50 that is why I gave 3 stars.Let's also mention that Nespresso in general is a tasty coffee as well but the price is double caffee Borbone and the difference in taste is not that big in my opinion.I understand people has different tastes therefore my advise before purchasing the Borbone blend is to discover your preference in coffee by trying different flavours which can be easily done for free in any Nespresso shop and then looking up the description of the Borbone's blends to find the most similar one. For example "Vivalto Lungo" by Nespresso is almost similar to the Borbone Blue blend again in my opinion.Quick tip if you want to make cappuccino or latte, I suggest to purchase the "Alicia De Longhi" because of the amazing way this small appliance froth and warm the milk which comes out exactly to my preferred temperature but do not expect to have it hot.

Just wow!I bought this because I ran out of my original Nespresso capsules and, during covid lockdown, it seemed that the Nespresso delivery would'n't happen for another 4 days. As an expresso enthusiast, I couldn't wait that long so I decided to give the red Borbone Respresso a try, next day delivery as expected (Thanks Amazon Prime!) and boy is this coffee good! It's better than my favourite Nespresso flavour (Kazaar) at less than half the price.The coffee is rich, smooth with plenty of foam, which I find most compatible capsules lack. The taste, well the taste took me back to the best coffees I had in Milan or Rome, in short, my best purchase this year! Love it,and I'll probably switch at least 2 thirds of my capsules to this.Two things I have to add:1. I read in several reviews that capsules were missing, out of curiosity, I actually counted them, all 100 were there;2. The packaging is indeed not environmentally friendly as each capsule is enclosed in its own non-recyclable pocket, at the same time, this might be why the coffee is so good, when you pop it open you can smell the aroma immediately; as a side bonus, for me, as a frequent traveller having my own portable Nespresso maker, this is actually a benefit, and the body of the capsule is made of hard plastic that doesn't deform in a bag like the originals do....Funny story, my Nespresso capsules order ended arriving the same day :))

At the time of my relocation from Naples (Italy) to UK, I was very concerned about the choice of the coffee. In the past, I always used the Moka, but I found difficult to find good quality coffee powder in UK. I found instead that Nespresso-compatible capsules were available on Amazon UK, and I did not think twice to buy them.The quality of coffee is very high. I cannot say that the espresso from these capsules is comparable with that bought in the good bar of Naples, but it is the best I could get among all the available options. Each capsule comes in a pressurised aluminium envelope that, upon aperture, release a very nice smell of coffee. The coffee prepared through the Borbone capsule is also creamy,as expected by a Neapolitan espresso. The taste of the coffee is strong but is not as intense as the coffee prepared through the Moka machine. I personally prefer these capsules to the Nespresso ones (less strong, less creamy and more expensive than the Borbone), and to the Lory (less strong, less creamy than the Borbone). I have not tried other brands of coffee pods.The shipping arrives always on time, but I would like a subscription system as available on Amazon.it. As a final remark, I bought several boxes of 100 capsules, and I found that only 3-4 capsules were not working perfectly in my Nespresso Machine (the machine kept stopping the coffee flow, due to the capsule).

I love the taste of these, have (and will continue to) use and try other brands and flavours, but this is my 'daily go-to'.I am using these with a 'Nespresso Essenza Mini' and have never had any technical issues (I have used around 400 of these pods so far).I wished there was a better way of keeping the coffee fresh, other than using these little pouches as they are not environmentally friendly as far as I can tell. However opening them and getting this distinctly fragrant smell of coffee always puts a smile on my face.There was a high delivery charge around the time the Brexit came into effect and I stopped using these as with the delivery charge I found the product too expensive overall.However, I now find these are back to the pre-Brexit delivery arrangements (100 capsules at under £19.- and with free Amazon Prime delivery) so am happy to enjoying the Borbone brand again.

My Italian colleague gave my one of these to try at work and I really liked it. They have a very nice and creamy flavour, plus for this price they definitely A better choice than nespresso (3x cheaper, 100 of them from their shop cost me 50£). The actual capsule it’s a bit smaller, but I haven’t had any problems with it on my nesspreso machine. The only reason why I gave 3 stars for packaging it’s because I am one of them ecological people and I think that they are using too much plastic packing each capsule individually. I don’t know if paper it’s gonna keep the quality, but maybe it’s a better option :).

I'm a regular customer of Cafe Borbone, as I buy the coffee capsules for the expresso machine mokona. This is the first time I ordered the nespresso compatible ones and I have not been disappointed. The taste of this coffee is superior to all the other I've tried, so I fully recommend it and I will certainly buy it again.Customer service is excellent as well as after I made the order I decided to change the red for the blue , i made a request to the seller via mail and they have been very kind.Parcel arrived earlier than predicted and i didn't pay delivery expenses.

Very good coffee at reasonable price. Too much plastic in the packaging though, capsules are packed individually and nothing is recyclable! I am taking personal initiative to strip out the powder from the capsule and allow to recycle at least the main body of them, but the company should find a new solution really or will lose in the long term. Also, delivery can be tricky as sometimes it arrives with no enough protection and a perforated side where capsule might slip away during delivery.

Let’s face it! Good espresso as intended by italians is difficult to find abroad, however if you own a nespresso machine and buy these Borbone pods then you will be able to have an amazing espresso, similar to many italian coffee bars quality.Intense, not burnt and with a very thick crema on top! The sugar stays on top of the creama for couple of seconds, as it supposed to!Personal taste makes me go always for the black blend. Try them all to find your favourite.

Amazing quality and such a good taste (not too acid) strong, thick and creamy and great value for money!These coffee pods were recommended by some Italian friends (the true connoisseurs of coffee) and they were so right. I bought the strongest coffee (red) capsules as I really enjoy a good expresso in the morning and I can’t make up my mind on whether they are as good or even better than the original strong Nespresso pods (which are double the price)!

These pods are honestly great. I have a Nespresso by Krupps machine and they work fine. The flow rate is a bit less but you get the same amount of coffee as the machine just works slightly longer as it's metered not timed. They do need the extra packaging to keep it fresh as the pods come pre-pierced.Some reviews mentioned only 98 pods. We counted ours and there were 102. I will buy again once I've finished them.

This coffee is fantastic. Better than 99 % of any espresso I could buy in UK.This is a nice balance of arabica and robusta, that comes at 16p per coffee.Top italian quality, personal flavors are this and the gold blend.I never had to throw away a pod like other compatibles, and pods come with single packaging which ensures a better aroma and a fresher coffee.I would not buy any other pod.

This is a typical Italian espresso style. Meant to be served ‘corto’. The other reviewer clearly missed the point here. It is not a lungo.The output is pretty consistent. Perhaps two miss-pours in 80 capsules so far. I drink this instead of the red blend at night time to prevent sleepless nights.One star is deducted as the packaging is a plastic black pod wrapped in a plastic film

I usually take the coffee espresso and without sugar or milk or other "alterations"; therefore I can assure that this coffee is delicious and the flavor is very intense. The capsule fits perfect in the Nespresso coffee machine.The price is very good, it is around 16 cents per capsule very competitive in comparison with the other marks currently on the market.Strongly suggested.

Great flavour, proper texture and very tasty. I have tried different brands and this one so far it's the best.Proper Italian strong coffee flavour.For the quality I would say the price it's incomparable.And the packing it's great, individual capsules in a small plastic air packed bag. I give it 4 stars because environmental friendly, nothing else. As use it's very practical.
