I bought this for my 6 year old and he initially found it difficult to arm the gun but after a few minutes practicing he managed to sort it out.To arm the gun you have to pull back the white section on the top of the gun that say's 'Elite'. It's still a little difficult for my son to arm it (it's not a natural movement for him) and he has to put a lot of effort in to do this but he loves his new Nerf gun. I'm sure it will get easier for him.To use the rapid fire on this gun you need to hold down the trigger and rapidly pull back on the white arming section on the top of the gun. This fires all 6 bullets out as fast as you can do it.My son isn't able to do this and this would be suited to older children.I'm not sure about the exact distance that it fires but it fires far enough, really good.I'd highly recommend this.

Purchased with Christmas gift cards received by my kids. It's brilliant fun and the six round magazine is good for causing a few hits in rapid succession. However it's for quite a strong spring mechanism. My 8 year old can manage it with her non trigger hand whilst still holding the pistol grip. My younger one cannot. Neither can do the shark fire of 6 rounds in quick fire (holding down the trigger whilst rapidly recocking the mechanism. fortunately I can do I get them every time them let me get my hands on it. The bullets come out with sufficient speed to sting the skin when fired indoors. The manufacturers are not kidding about not during at the face! You can be relatively accurate with the iron sights on top of the barrel but I think the rail can take more advanced sights or a bullet holder.

I used this as a legal way of killing my boyfriend when he’s being annoying. I wasn’t completely unfair though, I ordered him one at the same time. However I do tend to hide his bullets.I will say it’s given us some cheap laughs and the cat loves chasing them when they are shot in the air. Please don’t shoot your cat though, that’s cruel. Feel free to shoot boyfriends, husbands, friends and children. But avoid the face at all costs. I took one to the eyebrow and it wasn’t pleasant. On a more serious note, these are Fun for all ages. I don’t have children but I do use my boyfriend and the picture frames in the house as targets as they aren’t quite strong enough to knock them down.Creates a little competition in the household that makes the evening a little more exciting.Highly recommended.

Don't get impressed by the look of the other Nerf guns. This Disruptor is by far the best of all. It is easy to reload, easy to shoot, easy to manipulate and store. Its price is far better than the other.Indeed, I bought a few for me and the kids. They were all impressed by the big ones, semi-automatic and so on. They quickly realised that they cannot manoeuvre as easy as they wish and it takes time to reload. Also, if you buy extra dart from Non-Nerf brand or if you re-used one that you step on it during the battle, it would likely jam on the other gun but not on This Disruptor! If you are new to this Nerf work, start with this one first!

Having tried a few variations at a grand daughters Nerf gun party, I wanted one to scare the pigeons pooing all over the place. Soft blunt nose sponge ammo would be suitable says I. Rest assured, the pigeons are perfectly safe.... The range of the gun is about 10 metres, the accuracy isn't that good; you get consistent results anywhere within about a 1 meter circle at the maximum range. Once you aim and fire, the noise of the gun spring is enough to get the pigeons flying before the dart has got anywhere near them. For target practice, it is a challenge to hit the target, if it's big enough. Good fun though

I bought two off these items for my son so he can play with his friends or sister, whatever he wants to do, plus I ordered a lot of the bullets and he loves them. Runs around for hours playing with these nerf guns. Overall a great purchase for him!Nice and strong too with easy access to the bullets. Sturdy as hell as he bangs then a lot. Also caught my son a few times in the eye, I laughed but he did not, did I aim for his eye? I have no idea but how can miss his giant head... also not loaded but pulling the reload back to make the sound, then aim at him makes him nervous 10/10 would recommend.

More like a 30 feet range rather than the advertised 'up to 90 feet' but adaquate for my small garden and great fun without any fear of being hit by these soft bullets. It needs a certain amount of grip and strength to cock ready for firing, and you have to re-cock for each bullet which slows the firing rate.Lightweight, colourful, though rather large and bulky, it is not a weapon for creeping up on your adversary - more a 'High Noon' shoot out. It seems to be quite solid and substantial but I don't think it would survive being dropped from a significant height.Read full review...

I got this absolute unit when it was down to £9 – a bargain, if you ask me! It’s been used nearly every day to terrorise every member of my household, and any guests that come around to socially distance. It’s worth noting that, despite the pandemic, it’s almost impossible to socially distance with these bullets as they’re as accurate as ever and can travel up to 26 metres – that’s 24 more than the government recommends!Overall, a hysterical and much needed purchase during these difficult times. P.s, I’m 20 years old and I enjoyed this.

I finally caved and got this for my son's 8th birthday. I didn't really like the idea of him playing with guns but after putting down some rules of no shooting at people (or pets!) I agreed. He absolutely loves it! he loves that he can shoot multiple bullets quickly and the bullets go a long way. He shot one that hit the top of our house. This does mean that the bullets are easily lost though, but I bought a box of extra bullets that weren't the Nerf brand but fit perfectly and work out way way cheaper.

These were the perfect little guns to surprise my partner on our anniversary. I purchased two and had one for each of us. It made for a memorable and fun start to our anniversary. The foam bullets shoot far and fast. The tips are a little harder than expected, so just make sure you don't aim for the face. I bought extra bullets in case the ones that came with the gun got lost after a few different "battles." These were a good value, have worked great, and have provided lots of fun times.

Not bad for a mid ranged nerf gun. Does occasionally drop darts out the front or misfire.I know many parents that have bought this for a 3 to 6 year olds.A 3 to 4 year old will not be able to pull the loader back themselves.A 4 going on 5 year old might be able to do it with some practice.A 5 year old and over can load it using two hands pulling the gun apart like holding a stick.Children should always wear safety glasses with this one and supervision is required.

Compact, reliable and good velocity. The weakness of many NERF blasters, especially the flywheel models, is reliability. Games are no fun if your blaster refuses to fire. The Disruptor has proven to be very reliable, is easy to reload on the fly and the 6 dart capacity is about right. It vies with the Zombiestrike Hammershot as my favourite blaster. Excellent value for money and works with any type of dart (Elite, Whistler, Accustrike, Waffle).

The Nerf Blaster N-Strike Elite Disruptor is a powerful dart gun. The six dart slots are easy to load and it’s a good size for kids and adults alike to handle. It has an affective range of around 3 metres but does travel a wee bit further. As for durability, it’s survived a few days so far of kids having Nerf Wars. It’s also a good cat toy as he likes chasing the darts when they’re fired. I would recommend this product.Read full review...
