This is another great "MEGA" dart Nerf gun. The over-sized and over-priced Centurian aside, all the Nerf MEGA guns I've encountered have been excellent, and this is perhaps my favourite. My son is going through a Nerf phase at the moment, so has treated himself to this Magnus to go with his Cyclone Shock.I think the Magnus hits a little harder than the Cyclone Shock, and certainly hits harder than my little Big Shock, and the built-in triple shot magazine is inspired, as it gives just enough shots to keep play going and means reloading is quick and simple. If needs must, you can just poke a dart down the barrel for a simple single-shot reload. The Magnus is a good size without being unweildy for single handed use,

As a handgun, the Magnus is more than decent as a nerf gun.Feel:The handle is decently sized (Bigger than some in the Elite range), and it's not too heavy. The slider, taking up the whole top of the blaster, is easy to pull in gives it a nice feeling of power. Unfortunately, it's a tad bulky, and there are similar sized guns with bigger capacity and more use (The Strongarm, for example).Range:This gun has quite a good range, and can rival my Elite guns certainly. I'm unsure about if it surpasses them though, my house is only so big!Capacity/Reloading:The 3-Dart capacity is rather low, but it's better than the Nitefinder/Firestrike in a firefight. Reloading is relatively easy too,

I bought this blaster because i wanted to expand the MEGA dart arsenal and it is a nice little side arm for the nerf version of slugs but it is far from perfect:Pros:1. smooth action - not seen it jam when used properly.2. nice dart speed - the only blaster i've seen that makes the darts whistle like fireworks.3. internal mag is nice as mini arms tend to be one dart barrel loads.Cons:1. No way to store loaded but uncocked - if you fire but stop the dart leaveing the chamber it will jam the next time you cock it2. The grip feels too small - an odd design choice for the blaster range with the biggest clip ammo.3.

I purchased this to use in a nerf arms race it my office - it's great fun. We have about 20 nerf guns already at work, but this is one of the better ones. The bullets are MASSIVE. They whistle as they cut through the air (although they do look quite slow). They will leave a red mark if shot at quite close range so this might not be suitable for young children.If you angle the gun upwards you can get some insane ranges, and it's quite satisfying having some walk into the path of a well timed projectile falling from the sky.The only downside is that the rest of the office fires the "normal" blue elite darts, so you should buy a few packs of ammo as well.

Having received my Magnus today and spent all day assassinating my co-workers. This blaster is a hoot! The gun feels solid and the arming and firing feels rock solid. The blaster packs a serious punch and will arc-shot around 75ft (it was a little windy).I'm seriously happy with my Magnus. I don't feel that mine shares the same issues that others have found. Yes the handle feels small but it holds massive mega darts in an internal magazine so what would you expect?Just wish it came with more darts! :(

My kids (and I!!!) have some of the more basic NERF guns. On the whole, I'm unimpressed with those that fire the smaller blue bullets as they often misfire/ limp out of the firing chamber...No such problems with this one though! Very reliable and sturdy firing, fairly accurate; it delivers just enough punch to let you know you've been hit without significant damage.Haven't got any of the guns that are over £50; this, as a cheaper option, seems the best so far...

Bought two of these beasts and my wife and I have been messing around with them for a few hours now. No issues. Nice size, good power, pretty accurate and cocking it makes you feel like a bad ass. Just need to respray them to look like something from the Mass Effect series and things will be perfect!Only holds three shots, but reloading only takes a few seconds (unless you have the dexterity of a flea suffering from parkinsons).HIGHLY RECOMMEND.Peace. My children have various nerf rifles and pistols and I was getting tired of being shot at so I bought this one. Huge advantage is that they could not reuse the bigger ammo and return fire so along with a packet of 30 extra darts I was soon prowling the house looking for my quarry. We are now reaching the end of summer. I don't get shot any more and they only have to hear me cock the Magnus to get that hunted look in their eyes and beat a hasty retreat.

On opening the packaging to this my 6 year old described this gun as 'sick'. He absolutely loves it, the big chunky bullets allow for maximum impact when he is firing at targets. The loading action is very easy to pull back and easy to use. It would be great if there were a range of target accessories to accompany it.

When I first saw the mega range i was unimpressed - bigger darts just seemed to be silly. I was wrong the darts are bigger and heavier and thus fly better - they go further and they hit harder! Much more fun but not for ypunger kids as you do have to be careful to avoid head shots at close range - they hurt!

It is very good im pretty impressed doesn't jam that much, fires far and lots more but i was quite disappointed with how it only came with 3 bullets which is a huge annoyance.So it basically means that its not that great for big fun nerf fights with your friends unless you buy a 10 mega dart refill pack

Kids love this and i love it too! Shame the gun jams every now and then and you need to buy more darts which runs the cost up. But the guns themselves are really cool and last for ages! I doubt there is a way to make better darts and these do deteriorate fast!

I bought 4 of these so I could start Nerf wars with my family!???. Bigger than I thought but super easy to operate (my 4 year old daughter can use hers pretty well ).These are sooooo much fun.Holds 3 bullets at a time and they're easy to loads.So happy!

Pros: More power feeling, looks good. About an inch longer than the maverick.Cons: Uses new dart size, so need to buy spares. Internal clip can be a bit fiddly to fit darts into.Other: My brother (quote) "thought I was shooting fireworks at him"

I have had this gun for about 4 months. The Mega Magnus has a great firing distance and the Mega bullets are extremely powerful. There is one problem, the gun will shred the bullets in the chamber, but overall another great product by Nerf.
