Most nerf gun enthusiasts I know are of the child variety, however, a close of mines husband is an absolute nerf mad bloke! along with a friend they're seriously into all things nerf and whilst they work incredibly hard 24/7 at time, they love nothing more than a rare day off to indulge in nerf wars. You can imagine how pleased he was at the chance to review this! He wasn't disappointed either, the gun is large and whilst it's not the newish of the nerf range ranges, it's one he hadn't tried but had wanted to.The only notable downside to this model is the gun doesn't quite have the power you'd expect from such a large model in this style. Not a criticism per ce, but something to note. However, the aim of the gun isn't spot on. Easily accepted and not an issue for general use, however, on target practice (for the purposes of this review) it's aim isn't quite as accurate as some smaller models. It arrived in the biggest box possible which made me and the delivery guys both chuckle because it was 90% air and packing paper! But it did it's job and it arrived in perfect condition

Another solidly-built Nerf product with a reassuringly robust-feeling loading/trigger mechanism. It takes the "more accurate" Nerf pellet (which are maybe slightly more accurate than standard, but not breathtakingly so). As with other Nerf guns, it is well manufactured and I'd expect it to have a decent longevity, even with a bit of rough treatment. It's a reasonable size Nerf gun, but maybe not as powerful as some of the battery-operated ones or Zombie-strike versions. The lack of need for batteries is a plus in it' favour though. Our in house tester (aged 9) writes:"The Accu-series Alpha Hawk is very nice. The handle has a good grip and is very comfortable. It needs an adult to put the loading mechanism in when you get it from the box. It isn't as accurate as it says it is, so if you aim at a plant pot the pellet will hit the bottom of it".

Me and my lad do like Nerf toys, we have a fair few, our local Karate club have Nerf nights, which we attend, and he also goes to the local youth club which again have Nerf nights, great bit of daft fun we both can enjoy. The Nerf N-Strike Elite Accu Series Alpha Hawk Blaster is a little bigger than normal, has a barrel which holds 5 darts, this rotes as you fire, comes with 10 Elite foam darts that are alleged to be designed for greater accuracy.I’m not convinced there any better for accuracy than the normal darts, It was still pretty random what I hit and what I was aiming at.I like the Nerf, its probably a little big for my lad, although he wouldn’t admit to it being to big. This is again a great Nerf toy, large and well made, one more to our collection, can’t wait to our next nerf night.

This is toy gun in the Nerf range and if you're looking to fire more foam ammunition into your friends/family then this will be a great addition to your brightly coloured plastic arsenal. Loading is quick and easy, in the rotating barrel, which will help smaller hands when they're popping foam darts into the toy. If you already have Nerf branded darts, they will pop into the barrel of the Alpha Hawk as they are interchangeable. Like any Nerf gun, you'll need to play sensibly - being hit by a dart at point blank range won't do you any damage, but you'll know about it. The toy is made like a typical Nerf gun, big and chunky and suitable for rugged outdoor play.Whether you need an assault rifle to go with your other weapons is a question you'll have to answer for yourself.

This is easily one of the most satisfying and visually pleasing nerf guns on the market. It has a very sleek design, is comfortable to use and performs quite well. The bolt pull has a nice action to it, sliding back into place once released and the barrel pops out of the side to reload, before giving it a customary spin and flick back into place. The only real flaw from the Alpha Hawk has to be the fact it doesn't come with a scope or bipod which the gun feels like it was intended to be complemented with. Those are an extra expense and not necessary, but they turn this into easily the best nerf 'sniper' that you can get.

Yeah this is one awesone looking nerf gun.... many would say its just a pumped up strongarm blaster but who cares as thats one awesome little muvver anyway!. The accustrike darts work fine but my expert marksman (eddie, age 6) says he prefers the standard nstrike darts (and can get 100s of those at great price)A little tip to avoid frustration.... make sure you do not touch or hold the rotary magazine when firing as this will easily stop it turning onto the next dart...results in firing a blank!personally i dont like the orange colour but hey!!.... im 45 years old and it ai t for me.... my expert LOVES IT ! ?

nice gun, nerf got this one right, feels comfortable, well balanced and is very accurate, with the accustrike darts supplied, however the range is not great with the accustrike darts but the gun will shoot further with normal nerf darts (all nerf darts work with it) this wasn't purchased for a child but for my husband, who was well pleased, we are both 'steampunks' so this gun will look a lot different when he has finished with it, also must add it has 2 tactical rails one on the top and 1 below so you can add scopes and other accessories, a recommended purchase

I've never owned or used a Nerf gun before and so, I'm not able to compare this gun to any other Nerf model. However, my impressions are that I'm rather amazed as to how Hasbro have been able to make such a lightweight gun, whilst retaining the ability to fire the darts over such a large range (7-8m is no difficulty for the gun). The only downside is that the gun only comes with 10 darts and given that these are likely to get lost very quickly (fired over fences, into bushes etc), you might want to consider buying

This toy gun is very sturdy and of very good build quality. The barrel loading feels really nice and the only thing it misses somewhat is its shooting power which doesn't seem good enough for a gun of this size. There is another gun 'Nerf N Strike Elite Disruptor'. It is much smaller and almost half the price (not an issue though) but it shoots dart of similar size much more strongly than this much bigger gun, don't know why company did a compro on its shooting power but I have withheld one star due to it!!

I like the build quality of the toy. Good design and nice color. Only thing which takes away 5* is the quality of the bullets. The foam bullets tend to become useless over time. They stop firing. I believe the material bullets are made of wears off over time, the bullets become useless after sometimes. The gun has 5 chambers and 10 bullets are provided. So my son has used up first 5 bullets. And the second set of 5 bullets are also wearing off. The heavy rubber heads of bullets become lose and fall off.

Outstanding performance. Great accuracy, rate of fire (cycles quickly), ergonomics, and balance. One thing to note is that nerf has not shown consistent photos for the alphahawk. Most of the time, you see the front sight paired with a tall front sight fin which sits behind the ring. The one I got, as well as the ones sold in stores, and received by other buyers, do not have that tall fin.I wish there were rear sights though, You can't aim properly by only the sight at the front.

This is a massive Nerf gun (even from my point of view, and I'm not a kid!) from the AccuStrike series, with a 5-dart drum, and 10 darts. I found it's got great power, although it takes time to re-load, because it's not automatically loading, but it's still heaps of fun. Easy to use with a simple cocking mechanism. There's not enough bullets, but you can buy more. This doesn't really matter if you're willing to run around and pick up the darts, it's not a problem!

If Arnie or Sly were into Nerf guns, they'd undoubtedly be into this one. Firstly, because they could better deal with taking it out of the mammoth and annoying packaging, and secondly because it looks like a friendlier version of something from one of their films: big, sturdy and orange. Nothing gets hurt, except your energy from darting around as a crazy person.A simple toy really, but any kid that wants to have it large won't be disappointed with this.

Hi I'm an official nerf collector. I bought this so I could put in my collection. It is nice wort of money and its accurate. The only thing I don't like is that in the tutorial video that the roating drum just pops out when you press the ejection button on the gun . I really you to buy nerf alpha hawk but only this and more from nerf it this the best realistic toy gun for kids as it gives them a full of operating a real gun.

This is another great addition to the Nerf armoury. The revolving cylinder is quick loading, even in play. It has advantages over the magazine fed Nerfs in that it takes more time to refill those after use.It has a fairly decent range and does seem to be quite accurate. The main thing is that it is easy to operate, which is essential for the kids to play with it.
