Purchased this for my brother and sister's 11th birthday along with the high-powered rifle so they have a total of 3 guns and vests. Spent this morning setting the weapons up (took 5 minutes, needs a philips screwdriver to access battery panel) and getting to grips with the system, turning the volume down and turning off the voice coach "c'mon get a move on", etc. got very tedious very quickly.We then proceeded to figure out who was going to be on whose team (all three of us rogue!) and spent the best part of an hour running round the house and garden blasting each other. At one point, one of us went upstairs with the more powerful blaster to try sniping the other two but I think because it was a bright sunny morning it struggled to detect a hit more than about 20 feet /6.5 meters away. At one point we were convinced one of the weapon/packs was not working correctly but it was simply because I kept 'dying' and didn't realise you have to turn it off and back on again to reset.But this is an excellent feature seeing as it allows you to easily check who has won that game as no more shots are registered so there is no doubt as to who is the winner. Part of me thinks I should have got two of these 2-player sets to make the weapon distribution more fair but there's nothing fair about war and we each took our turn with the high powered rifle and it doesn't provide a massive upgrade apart from the nicer ergonomics and more responsive, tactile 'reloading'.I think this 2-player set if great value for money as it worked out at around £20 per weapon (after purchasing batteries). The true test will be battery life of the three guns and the replay value but I suspect that will be quite high. I look forward to hearing what my brother's friends make of it and whether anybody else is inspired to buy into the brand. This final point I think is what sets this system apart seeing as it can be expanded infinitely to accommodate any number of players on either team or going rogue. I look forward to many more battles to come!

Probably the best home laser tag system out there. I had previously used a system made by Wowee that is now out of production. The problem with a lot of these systems, which don't really use lasers of course, but actually use infrared technology, is that for indoor use there were problems because the light would bounce off walls, doors, etc meaning you could shoot people without even being in the same room or pointing the gun at them. This still happens with this system, but in my experience, less so than with rival systems. The guns connect to the chest detector, which is where the batteries go. The chest plate registers hits as does the gun, with changing colours indicating how many lives you have left.The 'voice coach' aspect, where a voice from the chest plate says 'come on' etc and tells you when you are hit is novel to start with, but I find it a bit tiresome after a while, and it prevents stealthy play, although there is a headphone jack if you want to use it. The guns are relatively robust and quite sci-fi looking. My kids are enjoying this system more than the previous one we had. Overall, pretty good, although a bit pricey if you want to have more than two players. Also check out the long-range blaster, available as a separate gun, but beware that it is overpowered compared to the blasters in this two pack.

Initially I tried this out in the local woodland and it was terrible, I couldn't get anything to register and it was disappointing.But then I tried it at home and it's a different game then!Indoors this worked brilliantly, although you can cheat if you cover the sensors - that's no different to any other similar type game, the game gets very intense as you slowly skulk through the house hoping you won't get blasted. It's easy to determine the winner too so there's no angry disputes!As this works using Infra Red, it can be frustrating when lucky shots off of a shiny surface land on you. Aiming at a TV, Mirror, or glossy surface whist hidden in a safe spot happens every-so-often and ruins the fun a bit!The batteries last a long time,you can get plenty of games out of a set, I know someone with the same set and they work flawlessly together. To be honest, the more you have, the more fun this is.In a nutshell: 4 stars, a brilliant indoors game, not so good outdoors, and it does seem a little overpriced when at full RRP.

Our 7 & 10 year olds were desperate for these, having played with them at a friend’s house. They’ve also played laser tag at professional set ups and so had high expectations. We were expecting the usual rubbish but these have far exceeded our expectations. Three days on, we are still on the same set of batteries and all four guns (we ordered 2 packs) are still working very well despite several hours of usage. The kids can’t fault them. If I could ask for one refinement it would be to mute all external sounds when the player has headphones on, but it’s a small gripe which reflects the amount of use they have had.

My children (and me) have had a lot of fun with these in the garden. The idea is really good and it has got us all laughing and running about.There are certainly negatives here - they are rather plasticky, and appear to not be too solid. Their range in terms of distance is not as far as advertised and their accuracy is certainly not as good as you might be led to think.Having said that - we have had so much fun with them and can accept their shortcomings - so I can only say that they are good!...

Purchased 2 packs for my twin 8 year olds birthday. They spent the day over the park playing with friends. very easy to set up, requires 6 x AAA batteries but we bought rechargables to keep ongoing cost down. Works better on overcast days or darker areas as lights can be seen better. Kids and adults love them and its great excersise for us all!

So much fun on it got the children playing together they were screaming with Excitement I don't think they will last long thow because the Excitement that is in play they seem to be rough on the wire it is connected to the pack on the chest and there's no consideration for a break in the wire as they play , so much joy

This is a really good product. Good quality, easy to use and the kids love them. Defiantly getting another set so you can have group battles. Best in the dark as the lights on the packs are really good. They also have sound telling you when you are hit, when you need to reload and there is a headphone port.

I got these for my son and nephew for Christmas, they are awesome!! They had great fun running around the house trying to shoot each other. The good thing about it is that you can set teams or just have a free for all with the buttons on the main panel.Even the adults were joining in for a go!!

Really it's not to bad but because I'm only 8 the wire that attaches from the gun to the health count is quite unfair on me. I find this unfair because the wire just keeps tripping me up so then I need to get up again it leaves me an open target.

Got this for my 9 year old for Christmas, for when we didn't want him firing NERF bullets everywhere, he said it's his favourite Christmas present! Even had his 74 year old Grampa charging round the house like a mad man with it on!

When it arrived one of the screws were broken on the battery cover. We contacted the seller who immediately exchanged it for a new one which arrived the next day. This is so much fun for the whole family. My 12 year old loves it!

Awesome my boy loved this for his 9 th birthday, a little uncomfortable on grip for a small hand (has small hard edge at top), but he didn't care. Really cool in twilight as the let's really buzz the laser effect with the sounds.

It was on sales this laser guns . I wasn’t exciting a good quality just hoping the boys ok to play with its that all , But it did come out with was surprisingly good quality. My boys like it very much. Highly recommended.

These guns are awesome!! The kids love them and so do the adults!! Good quality, love the blasting sounds and the way the gun tells you how many lives you've got left. I guess they are a bit pricey, but they are worth it
