A bit of background: I'm in my mid-20's, the blaster is mine and not my offspring and it's used for office warfare.Stock performance of this blaster is brilliant, up there with the best Nerf blasters in terms of power/range. Clip system is great, especially if you buy additional clips (aftermarket ones work well and you can get 12/18 capacity ones for cheap), meaning you don't have to wait around reloading. There's a small tactical rail below at the front, which can be used for an attachment such as a handle or flashlight/red dot pointer. On top is a larger tactical rail, I've attached a scope for mine (purely for aesthetics). You can attach a barrel if you wish, although this will likely affect range due to the dart touching the tube when it's fired - test show it's inconclusive whether it affects accuracy. On the other hand, it looks good with a barrel extension. At the rear of the unit is a place to attach a stock.Without any attachments, you have a compact blaster which can be used one handed (possible to dual wield). With a stock and perhaps a handle, as well as maybe a scope, you have a two handed weapon which will give you increased accuracy.Firing is easy; hold the rev trigger on the handle to spin the flywheel motors up, then pull the trigger to push a dart through to fire. It's possible to fire quickly although the motors will slow down and reduce range. For childrens safety, there are various electrical cut off points wired in, such as when the jam door is opened so the motors stop, avoiding fingers getting caught in a spinning flywheel. For those who want more oomph, this is one of the easiest blasters to modify with readily available aftermarket parts. A full rewire will allow you realise the full potential of the motors, along with the possibility of better motors coupled with lipo batteries for insane amounts of power.Overall, this blaster will suit anybody, whether it's stock for children or modified for adults. Modifications would actually give teens/young adults a great incentive to learn about electronics and soldering and there is a brilliant online community who are happy to help and advise.

I'm not sure if this orange contraption is tied in to some kind of childrens' show as it's something I've not come across before, but it's certainly fun. It's meant for children from 8 years upwards, and I can see no reason why you shouldn't send your children to bed early on Christmas Day so you can use it too!You need to buy four AA batteries and fit them to be able to use it (which reminds me of the days when your new washing machine didn't come with a plug...), but once you've loaded up the six rubbery 'darts', you can blast away at whatever you choose as rapidly or slowly as you like.It apparently (our garden's not big enough) has quite a range (up to 30m in ideal conditions),so it's perfect for having a pot-shot at fairly distant targets, but the accuracy is not really in the 'precise' category. And it's seriously orange. Sorry, ORANGE. A lot more ORANGE than it looks in the listing on here.If I'd been given one of these as a present in my youth, I'd have been delighted, and, I'm certain it will be much appreciated by any lucky recipient today as well.Did I mention, it's ORANGE!I think it's really jolly good.

I use Nerf blasters for games at kids clubs and other events. It's great that kids and adults can be active and move around and are safe, especially with glasses on. This blaster is one of the best Nerf has made so far. You get the basic blaster for the £15 price with a clip holding 6 darts. This blaster takes 4 AA batter which are not included. This is a flywheel blaster so you need to let the flywheels get up to speed and then blast away. This takes around 2 seconds, not a blaster to be used if you want to be quiet, just take a Nerf Jolt with you for that kind of thing! It is a good price and you can add any stock or other attachment to it sold separately (that's why other blaster are more expensive, like the modulus). The firing rate and speed is really good and it it shoots around the 20m mark as advertised. There is a jam door to take out any jammed darts. You can easily hold it in one hand and change clips pretty quick. To make the blaster even better get an 18 dart clip, dual wield two of these and everyone should get ready for a lot of foam flying their way!

Not the best NERF product Ive tried, but a good product non the less. The gun itself is well made, robust, easy to use and easy to reload - and is great fun as all NERFs are - though it is frustratingly battery powered. For me this raises two negatives that made me drop a star:1) The batteries are not supplied, which frustrates the hell out of me - so unless you have some to hand, it means you need to go buy them before you can use it; it doesn't work at all without them.2) That its powered means it makes a sort of revving noise in use - so you cant do stealth assassination in the office, and kids cant creep up on each other with it. Maybe that's a good thing to some! That aside, the darts are fired at quite a pace and do have a further reach than the non battery op one, and, as mentioned, its the same great quality build and good fun as all NERF products - for me though, great as this product is, the NERF Strife Blaster (half the price of this) is basically the exact same toy, but non powered. And I honestly think that ones better.

This definitely a fun toy and with enough sophistication to add value to the experience of shooting soft foam darts, basically into nowhere: you can hit a barn door, but accuracy is not the point of this strife blaster. Load a magazine with 6 foam darts, depress a button below the trigger for a whine-like noise and pull the trigger as fast as you like to send the ammunition across a room - definitely a toys for kids and dads for that matter. Can I include granddads too? An added feature are two strap points where you could add a strap or string to hold the weapon across your chest in military style, although the strap is not included: neither are the 4 AA batteries although I could not see this message written anywhere except in the instructions that tell you they are required.Spare mags and spare ammunition would be good too. There are a number of NERF blasters around at a variety of prices, so look around for best value, but this blaster is a blast and great for kids and dads too.

This is a solidly built NERF pistol with automatic firing (it needs 4xAA batteries). We've had a number of similar Nerf guns over the years and they all last well, standing up to fairly rough play, the build quality of this seems to match those previous versions. With this particular gun you can fire one dart at a time or all six from the supplied magazine in one trigger pull. The mechanism seems solidly functional and doesn't jam (although worthwhile checking none of the Nerf darts are too twisted on loading). This is one of the Nerf products that is compatible with the "modular" parts, so you can use it with other versions, adding scopes, longer barrels, grips etc to increase the play novelty..Here's the review from the target audience (literally) - our 8 year old who loves it:"It's very good and exciting! You can attach different modular parts on it. But it really hurts when you drop it on your foot. Your maximum number of bullets is six. I think it has a really good grip".

Can't really faulty this for silly fun. Hold the secondary trigger to get the motor whining, and then pull the trigger like you would on a normal gun.The magazine holds 6 bullets (might be space for a couple more but that might cause issues with the loading spring) and you can shoot basically as fast as you can pull the trigger. The nerfs themselves go a long way (claims 29 metres on the box) so they do go pretty far and are pretty accurate (I was able to hit a water bottle from about 6 metres without too much problem, although they do vary depending on the straightness of the nerfs). You can use one hand or 2 depending on your preference and the Nerfs don't hurt even when shot at close range. The gun has been getting used around the office for the past few days, and everyone seems to like it - one person is looking to buy a bigger version.Note that this does take 4 x AA batteries that aren't included, so make sure you get these otherwise it will not fire

I bought this as a Christmas present for my brother in-law so that he could defend himself from his house mates who had a range of nerf guns. I thought that the semi-automatic system would give him the upper hand, however whilst is makes reloading very easy it is a very noisy system and can give away your position when trying to maintain cover! The noise is not just generated when shooting, it is always on when the nerf gun is on.The clip provided is good, but you can upgrade it to a larger one and therefore reload less, which i would advise as you run out quick! The gun has a really good range and the darts come out at a impressive pace.Pros- Semi-automatic is awesome- Battery life prettygood- Takes larger clips- Good rangeCons- Pretty loud which can give away position- Clip provided is a bit small to make the most of a semi-auto weaponIt is a great fun toy for kids and childish adults like me and my brother in-law.

Good, fun and reliable. This is a middleweight gun - not as heavy as the full on as the Elite Hyper-Fire, but a lot heftier than the manual pump-action equivalent. The only negative comment I have to offer is that there is a spin-up time to get the flywheel started before you can start firing of maybe a second or two. This takes away the element of surprise, and gives your opponent using a manual feed gun the chance to get a shot in beforehand. Of course, you can start the flywheel spinning and not pull the trigger, but the noise is a dead giveaway. This is a semi auto - one pull of the trigger fires one round. That's the way I like it, because you can maintain a high rate of fire, but you have more control than with a full auto. It's more sparing of ammo. It's reliable, and rounds very seldom get stuck in the chamber. If they do, it's easy enough to remove them with good access provided. Overall a good, reliable performer.

Oh this is a joy to behold! It's compact and meaty and fits nicely in one hand. The clip locks in place with a click and then to fire you press a button with your thumb to activate the motor (no stealth mode here as the motor is quite loud) and then pull the trigger with your index finger. And keep firing away while your enemies scatter. Brilliant fun!Pros:Compared to the larger motorised nerf guns (like the modulus) this doesn't require 2 handsFires up to 27m (90ft)Semi-automatic so fires darts in super quick successionCons:Clips only hold 6 darts so you can be out of ammo in seconds. But I guess you can have spare clips ready in your free hand.Batteries aren't supplied - you'll need 4 AAbatteries and a small screw driver to remove the battery cover which is screwed in place. All in all it's an absolute joy to handle. Get ready for the ultimate gunbattle. Yippeekay-ay!

really good, lots of opportunity to mod. We also bought a flip mag to extend the number of bullets. I thought the duel trigger to activate both the cyclone and fire the bullet would be complex but son picked it up very naturally. The only thing that was a bit strange was that is is rapid fire but you have to pull the trigger multiple times, one for each shot, and there is not an option to just hold the trigger down. I think there maybe a mod you can do (on youtube) but I was unwilling at the moment to tamper with it, and it doesn't really affect play. Strife now has the scope laser, folding grip, and stealth barrel extender which has re-invigorated the gun and made son even happier.Would highly recommend, especially for the price. And doesn't jam...yet.

Now this is what I'm talking about... A fully automatic NERF foam blaster. What an epically fun piece of kit, this gun is capable of emptying its clip in no time at all in the direction of the chose target up to 75ft away - these things were not as powerful when I was a kid, that's for sure.Supplied with the foam darts that fit in the clip - though you'll need 4 x AA batteries to power it. I wish the clip was bigger but to be honest this is still the most fun you're going to have with a bit of plastic and 4 AA batteries. The darts don't hurt if you're hit with them, but it's a whole bunch of fun - especially in the office

Fantastic Nerf Gun! If this is your first Nerf gun it is an exceptional one to start with, and if its not it is still a fantastic addition to your arsenal. Firstly its magazine loaded, which not only makes it look cool, but means can be adapted with larger magazines to increase amount of shots. Secondly the motor power is very strong and has excellent range. The last great point is the placement of the power button, right below the trigger, for easy access, This also means you don't have to have it on making lots of noise and blowing your cover which was a problem with older nerf guns. All in all a great toy!

Even though actually didn't buy the Stryfe on this website, I am going to write this review for it.Now, I'm not the type of guy who does nerf wars, so I usually do roleplay-like things with my friends. So I usually try to customise nerf weapons with different attachments (for example, bits from the Nerf Modulus Stealth Ops Kit and Nerf Retaliator parts) to make it as nice looking as possible. It is one of my favourite Nerf Blasters I own (Alongside the Retaliatior) so far.I have left two images, one of the Struts without any attachments, and another with attachments from other weapons.

It's still one of the best Flywheel Nerf guns you can get. Hold one trigger to rev the motors and a second trigger to fire a dart in semi-auto.. the Strife performs well and is versatile. It has space for numerous attachments that can transform it into something small and compact or big and aggressive depending on your style. The included mag is a bit small and you'll most likely want to get something bigger straight away. The orange colour scheme is not my favourite as it tends not to match the majority of Nerf attachments which are typically blue. All in all though, a great Nerf gun.
