The MSI GTX 660 2GB I was using is now over six years old - and was showing it's age in newer games. So, I started doing some research on-line with the following criteria:1) 6-pin PCI-e Power requirement.2) Quiet - my previous card could get a little noisy.3) Minimum of 4 GB VRAM4) <£200.From the reviews I selected this card as, whilst it was ~£10 more expensive, in benchmarks it often outperformed the GTX 1060 (which is almost impossible to get hold of now) and was only slightly less powerful than the standard GTX 1660 in some tests - due to the faster VRAM.The card arrived promptly and was simple to install. As graphics drivers are regularly updated,I didn't even bother looking in the box for a disk - instead I went to the NVidia Website and downloaded the latest drivers. A clean install was chosen - just in case there were some settings from the older card that might cause issues. The improvement in graphics shown by 3DMark was huge compared to the old card.GTX 660Fire Strike 4,400Sky Diver 12,100Time Spy 1,300GTX 1650 SuperFire Strike 9,100Sky Diver 20,200Time Spy 4,100There was an issue with the card - it is supposed to spin up both fans when it gets hot and then when it cools sufficiently it stops both fans. I found once it got hot, the fans sounded as if they started at 100% and didn't stop until the PC was restarted.MSI Afterburner/MSI Dragon Centre/GPU-Z all reported that there were no fans spinning, however.Upon checking it became apparent that only one fan was spinning up on boot-up and the same one was running when the card became hot.I checked with MSI support and they suggested a couple of things to try doing - neither of which work, so I had to order a replacement through Amazon - and of course then had the worry of its' estimated arrival being on the 28th of May and the defunct card having to be back to Amazon by the 8th of May - during the Lockdown!Fortunately, the replacement arrived a couple of days ago - and is working fine. And, I think that the card is actually quieter than some of the reviews led me to believe.I haven't played too much with the Dragon Centre, but you can set 'Scenario's - Silent, Balanced and Extreme - along with Custom. These provide pre-set, tested settings for the graphics card - voltage, clock speed etc. Silent gave 30-40 fps in Crysis whilst Extreme gave 90-100 fps. My old card gave me ~25 fps on the same settings.

Honestly, I was dubious about fitting this as I have never done it before. But straight after reading the instructions I realised I had little to worry about. Following the step by step instructions it made very easy.Onto the build quality, I'm no expert in this area, but I would say it's been built with high standards for such a cheap piece of equipment. Its sturdy and looks fantastic, especially with the led light showing the symbol on the side.My gaming experience has also improved 10 fold. Before I had this I was getting a lot of stuttering and was only able to play games that had been out a good number of years. But now, I can play very recently released games and no issues at all, running at 60fps with the odd dip now and again, although the dip is so minute that you honestly don't notice any change in performance. So, thumbs up from me. Fantastic bit of kit!!Read full review...

Great performance for the relative prize.Keeping in mind how ridiculously expensive these things are, this is a great performer for 1080P Max settings in most Games or with little tuning on settings to achieve 60+FPS.It Overclocks well too easily with MSI Afterburner.I have been gamingish on my Ryzen 5 2400G onboard Graphics for a year now…The inclusion of this Graphics Card has made a world of difference.Being able to play any game at 60+FPS at max quality settings is great and my games look and play as if they were totally different games.Very happy with the card that has never been over 60 degrees even while overclocked.Ryzen 5 2400G 3900Mhz OverclockAsus TUF B450M-Gaming Motherboard2 x 4Gb2400Mhz overclock to 3000mhz.DeepCool Gammaxx GT Air coolerCrucial BX256Gb SSDWD 1Tb HDD

Normally I don't do reviews but as I am very happy with this purchase, I need to share my opinion: this is the best 1650 super. Definitely worth the extra 25£ over the cheapest 1650 super. With some fiddling, I managed to fit the gaming x version, in an old hp pro 3500 case, with an i3 4160 and 8gb ram. While playing sea of thieves in 1080p with recommended graphics details, the card delivered steady 60 fps and didn't go over 60 degrees at 80% load while being quiet, I could barely hear the fans with the room temperature around 23 degrees. The card is 25cm long and 13 cm high.To upgrade an older system, this card is totally recommended if it fits in the case!

Purchased this to replace an old 950gtx and as you would expect its a massive improvement. Games such as Far Cry 5, Division 2, Jedi Fallen Order and Monster Hunter World all running easily at 1920x1080 at 60fps without the card seeming to struggle. Can't comment on higher resolutions (but I think it may struggle) as that's my monitor max. Noise wise - i can't separate the cards fans from my pc fans so I would can say the card it quite enough.. Overall a great card at a great price as long as you stick with this sort of resolution

Great graphics card so far, which was easy to install, except for the fact that nowhere is there any mention of having to use an external power cable, when previous MSI graphics cards in the same PCI-E based system have not. A bit of a pain having to order one from Amazon, having stripped the system to install the card and then put it all back together to discover which cable I needed. Still, it arrived that evening with Prime!

Brilliant product, if your gaming on a budget this is a great little 1080p graphics card. Sure the 1660 Ti is much faster and if you can afford it that’s the one to buy. If you want to future proof your PC and take abaya advantage of Ray Tracing, save the extra and the RTX 2060 is where the smart money goes. How ever, if you can’t afford those, this is the card to buy.

My pc was fantastic 11 years ago. Now chunders along playing games on minimum settings at best. This card alone changed everything allowing me to play games highest settings at decent fps!Currently playing wolcen a game released very recent full settings 40-60fps. Not bad considering my computer is very old bar this card

I got this 1650 Super specifically because it has copper heat pipes to facilitate better cooling. It works great. I use it with an old i5 4590k and I've gone from getting less than 10 frames per second to getting a solid 60 frames per second at 1080p,even on really good quality. I can't fault it.

22.1.2020

Runs all of my games quietly at 1080p 60fps+ but no driver disk in box. Box may have been opened before as it was unsealed, some teething troubles with card.Download ed drivers and software required works fine quite graphics card .My fan on CPU is louder.

Original purchased the cheaper Gigabyte 1 fan version, and it was noisy. Even at idle it was noisy.Swapped for this MSI twin fan. Same size, same speed, same everything, but near silent at idle.

23.5.2020

This particular 1650s has a dynamic fan so if you're not gaming the fans won't spin. 1650s all run relatively quiet and cool. My only critism is any card over £150 in 2020 should have 6gb of vram.

23.5.2020

I got this after returning a a single fan GTX1650 s and it a vast improvement. As for gaming performance this card will play modern titles at high settings.

14.2.2020

It's a modern Nvidia GPU that is the equal of the popular GTX 1060 6 GB, performs well and is a good example of this particular model.

7.3.2020

Decent price to performance and excellent build quality. It's quiet whilst gaming. No problems with drivers or installation.
