With this looking eceptionally tempting to a big fan of Moto GP it didn't dissapoint. If your looking to ride the amazing bikes of the Moto GP then this game delivers, one thing that impressed me more is the fact that you can start your own career in any of the three classes, 125, 250 or the prototype superbikes riden by the amazing Valentino Rossi. This game brings me back to play it again and again and i'm pleased that this is one game I'm glad to have spent my cash on. Unfortunatley I think that they could have tried alot harder with this game, not with the handling or sound or even the look of the bikes and riders, they are okay, could be better given the playstations capability though. The things that annoy me with this game is creating your basic rider options. When you put your name in you can only use capitol letters where as all the names of the other riders are using lower case aswell which makes your name stand out in the rankings and doesn't look natural and the fact that you have to have an incredibly small name to get it all in !. Next the the helmet design, basic and boring styles, nothing like the true designs seen on riders helmets in the Moto Gp. Now the tracks, they are true to life but i personally feel, once again with the power of the PS2 they could look oh so much better. I also think that with the simulation mode it could be a little more life like, when it rains the bike automatically holds itself in a position that stops you putting it on it's side and sliding off, i personally want simulation modes to be identical to real riding and not to help me in anyway because that way i dont get to learn how to better myself in the game.Okay so to cap it off i've told you my problems with this game but please dont be put off by it this is a good game and like i said i'm happy to have spent my cash on it. I just feel that with a little longer in development it could have been so much better and with Namco being as big as it is, it would have been nice for them to make it all the better.

I'm not questioning the legendary status of the riders in the legends section of the game. However where the hell are Ago, Hailwood, Read, & Sheene etc etcI was hoping this time out to ride a 1976 Heron Suzuki, or an MV from the 60's against Rossi etc. Also the choice of helmets is rubbish & why can't I choose my leathers colour & make?Options people options!!I'm still 4 times world champion though, 68 times a race winner & I just can't stop!! I hope there is more to Moto GP 5 in the way of history, but the racing on this one is brilliant!!

I've been a massive fan of the MotoGP games from the beginning and this latest offering is just as good as ever.Be warned though,it's only good on single player mode. The graphics take an absolute nosedive when on multiplayer,to the extent where it becomes laughable.
