I bought this second Xbox as a present for my eldest son, so he could play Xbox in his room. When I saw the all digital version for about £20 less than the standard Xbox One S, I actually thought it was because the media (ie games) supplied with it were digital. They are, but this particular version has no dvd drive to load games. This isnt a deal breaker in a world of fortnite and apex gaming, but does limit your choices for games overall. The games from Microsoft digital store are always, consistantly and absolutely more expensive than those found in high street stores on disk. And forget about buying cheap second hand games to use. I understand why Microsoft see this approach as beneficial,

I've delayed writing this product review to see how the Xbox performed. There is no DVD drive on this model, but that is the future of these machines as the games now need the internet to play them, there is really no need for a drive. I personally think this innovation is a good one. Firstly it has knocked down the need for storing the DVDs. Secondly DVDs get scratched and won't play correctly and downloaded content is faster. The machine itself has worked really well in the time I've had it also it's the quietest Xbox I've had. The only niggle I've had with it occasionally it won't turn off I've had to manually disconnect it, but all in all it's a good machine at the price a good buy.

My partner has been wanting one of these consoles for an age & finally I gave in. We opted for the digital version as one it was on offer but secondly as there are no moving parts then there is less to go wrong and less chance of the until breaking down - It was very easy to set up with very little technical knowledge needed. signing up with Microsoft was again very simply & once we had read the user guides built in with the system it was very easy to navigate around the menus & download games.

Absolutely great product, works well, does what it's promised to do, totally worth it.The price was fair for what you got, considering you do get three games and a controller and with that a 30 day money back guarantee if you don't like the product or wish to refund it.I doubt other stores would offer that, also, it's fantastic for your spare time, or to spend some time with friends, it's nice to have one over all if you're in to games or just want to have fun with your family or friends.

I decided to take the plunge and buy the Xbox to keep me occupied after being furloughed from work. Thank goodness I did - it does everything I need it to! Gaming, streaming, TV... It's all taken care of. The gaming experience is excellent. Although the company console is a little slower than the model with the disc drive, I don't find it lagging or struggling to cope with anything and the lack of a disc drive for me is excellent. I don't buy Blu-ray discs so just downloading is perfect.

Great console! Very easy to set up, no messing on- which I know sometimes can be the case with these things. The xbox has a really nice design and looks amazing in my room; slim and sleek. However, I would like to mention it is a digital xbox so all games MUST be purchased new through the xbox store. Even though you do have to buy the games new, the xbox store regularly has deals on games. So if that’s something that doesn’t bother you, definitely think about this purchasing this console!

Great graphics for a 10yo in a bedroom & it's fine on our 55" TV. Its not the One X but does everything we need. It does not have a disc drive but we've not got discs anyway. Rdeeming of & downloading games was easy, although on Xmas Day it took a while (Dad really should have set it up earlier) Batteries (Duracell) came with handset, but worth investing handset dock - this was my option, along with a 2nd handset.No issues with reliability so far and build quality seems very good.

I love the white xbox console and as it has no disc slot the front looks sleek and less cluttered. I played on the disc version but my son took this to university so i needed my own console. I havent noticed any difference in terms of look and performance. I now prefer the fact that once you have installed the game which does take time, it is much quicker closing and opening between games. Much better. Also i feel i am doing my bit for the planet by not buying discs in plastic boxes.

I wanted to (finally) upgrade from my Xbox 360 which I’ve had for years. The Xbox One digital version is perfect for what I need it for, mainly online tv/viewing services e.g. Netflix, but also for gaming. Just keep in mind it’s a digital ONLY Xbox, meaning there’s no disc reader. So if you’re nostalgic about collecting game discs and DVD’s then this isn’t the one for you. Otherwise, if you’re not bothered, this is the perfect Xbox as all games can be bought via the online store!

This console will work well for people who only wish to purchase their games digitally as it is essentially the Xbox One S without a disc drive. Bear in mind that it comes with the download codes for 3 games already so you would have something to play right from the off (so long as you want to play them). If all that is good for you then you have a decent and cheap console with access to a game library that spans 3 generations of consoles from Microsoft.

Xbox one s. We purchased this for our sons 15th birthday. It was that easy to set up he even set it up all on his own. Very sleak nice and slim line nice colour,. This console is very nice. I would definitely recommend to friends and family. Price was very reasonable,lots of extras. Had to purchase a head set but all in all very good product and service. All at argos Malvern Worcestershire. Top job keep up the good work guys. Many thanks Adam and family.

A brilliant value X box bought online for a great price! It came with a few games, including Fortnight and plenty of free all important V Bucks! We couldn’t see it anywhere for such a good price. My son was absolutely made up with it! Click and collect from Argos in Sainsbury’s so we were able to get it during Lockdown. It’s been an absolute Godsend!! Thank you to all the team at Argos for working hard for us during this difficult time.

My 19 year old granddaughter loves it so it must do what its supposed to but there are two versions. This one which is online only and all games must be downloaded or the other version with a DVD reader. If you have old games on disc from the 360 or others have bought games on disc as presents then buy the other version, its £30 more. They don't all transfer but there is a list on line of those that are playable on both 360 and one

We decided to get the Xbox one with no disc drive as it was cheaper and we figured we’d just buy the games digitally anyway, which is kind of true. Only times we regretted that decision is when we get the offer of borrowing a game off a friend etc. Then remembers there’s no disc drive. If I could do it again, I’d get the disc drive but it’s no big deal. It’s a sleek looking machine and there’s no constant hum from it. It looks ace

Incredible! Having only ever owned and played PlayStations I now know what all the fuss is about! Easy to set up, picture is great, and access to apps like Netflix. Came with 2 free games (Sea of Thieves and Minecraft), which I was able to download straight away. Also came with a game pass to try out lots of games before buying and a month of gold membership which meant I got extra discounts off of my game purchases
