Although a medically retired senior controls engineer, I am not gadget mad but had reached a time when I needed a smartphone for a specific project. If you're a serious gamer this phone is not for you! However, don't be put off by the sniffy critics.The phone does offer fantastic value for money. The Windows system is sleek and, although the start up is a little slow, once in use the switch between programs and loading is fast and easy to follow after a while. I'm using with Teamviewer to control other laptops and PC's for a hospital radio station with absolutely no delay or problems.The Lumia 650 is a very neat, slimline smartphone. Firstly, update everything. When you've done that, this becomes a good phone, especially for the price. Maybe i'm old school, I send texts, call people on my phone, surf the net at lunchtime and send emails. This it does with no fuss at all.If you have a Microsoft account then you can link it to the phone and share contacts, emails, calendar information with ease. Edge is ok as a browser and with 4G, I don't see a lot of difference between more expensive phones accessing the net.If you want the latest apps and games, well i'm the wrong person to ask, because I don't play games on my phone. Yes the choice of apps is small compared to Android and Apple, but then I don't charge the phone every day either.

The Lumia models have got better and better to the point that they were out shining apple phones and even android with their built in tech! But, what Microsoft could not get rid of for some reason, was the public image.I've enjoyed windows phones right from the start. My work place used them for years, until only 3 months ago.The very latest Lumia were the absolute best. I tried the Lumia 550 and that was nice. Then we got some 650 models and I was in awe. I thought these were absolutely smashing. Execs in the office would love the image and be proud to put them on the desk with their HP laptop. Then I got a 950 as a gift and I just fell in love with that one.

Had a Samsung ATIV S Windows phone - lasted 4 years then charger socket got too worn. Decided to go over to Android phone, but after 3 months of saying 'this is such a rubbish phone!' I went back to Windows. The Microsoft Lumia is the only Windows Phone still being made, although the 650 model is I think the last one to come out - in early 2016. So far I'm enjoying it - missing a couple of apps, but with Windows 10 you can access the desktop versions of some apps that don't exist for Windows Phones.So all in all, a pretty neat, stylish, compact, lightweight phone, lovely black AMOLED screen, reasonable battery life.Just a bit slow processing stuff - but the reviews warned me about that.

Screen - HD resolutionResponsiveness - very goodProcessor speed - fastStorage - good with micro SD slot as wellBluetooth - I have been using it with a bluetooth mouse so that it is easier to do a right click. I can discretely use it at work because it is compact and fast. The mouse looks like a work mouse to the untrained eye.Security - Likely to be more secure than an android mobile.Size - lightweight and slim. Screen size is 5" which is good for web browsing and looking at pictures.4G - It gets a faster connection than my Blu windows mobile did. It will also display that it has 3G+ when it cannot get 4G.Easy to get screen protectors and cases for it because it is a brand one.

I really like the way windows phones integrate with windows 10 computers, I find them so easy to use. This model has a lovely screen, good 8meg. camera, the battery could last a little longer as it needs charging every other day, (heaven knows what the battery will be like in 6-12 months) BUT! If you are interested in this model and you are looking for a dual sim model do check the description because I thought all Lumia 650 models were Dual Sim but they're not! I will keep the single sim model as a back-up although the description did not state that it was a single or dual sim, as I said I should have checked. C'est la vie.

It has much better battery life than my previous phone (Moto G 2012), and feels very slick in use.The camera produces better images than the price/specs would suggest.Sound quality is good (very clear calls) I don't know about music playback, as I don't use my phone for listening to music.The other reason I bought this phone is that, as an independent App developer I wanted a phone to test my Apps on (I have 7" and 10" windows tablets, but I need to see how apps look on the smaller screen.The Windows App store now has a much better range of apps than even a year ago.All in all a great phone at a very good price.

Back to a windows phone and a Nokia after years with flaky Samsungs and Flakier Android interfaces. The key app I really miss from the android world is th eLondon Tube/TfL maps but tI suspect something will pop up soon enough.If you want a logical and stable phone that does what it says on the tin and works seamlessly with your PC then this is it. I tried the others and just came back to it.The only thing I found strange was why it had chinese/hong kong? items on it when it arrived. If it is new why did it have no seal. In this respect I will not buy from this supplier again as I do not think it was new.

Absolutely fantastic device, easy to set up and use. Only let down is a smaller app selection than android and iPhone. The build quality is 2nd to none the amoled screen is amazing quality and easily usable in direct sunlight unlike a lot of phones.I recently sold my lumia 640 and picked up an iPhone but found the OS just wasn't as smooth and customisable as windows 10. So I ordered this 650 have my son my iPhone 6s and have never looked back.If you can live without snap chat then I highly recommend the lumia 650

This smartphone has Windows 10, which for those that wish this is very helpful. It has a very reasonable battery life and is good value for money. However many apps that are on offer for iPhone and Android are often not available for Windows, so please definitely bear this very much in mind. This is the only real disadvantage of this smartphone for me. The screen is very good and quite large and the speed is very reasonable. The metals casing is better then other similar models plastic casings.

As a multi-plattform user, this phone has been a very pleasant surprise. Build quality on level with the best ones, really well designed and agile OS, it doesn't look like a phone of its price range but a much superior one. We can't deny the hands of Nokia still around...Only Flaws? Missing my pokemon go and a better Facebook app but this is not related to the phone itself though...Anyway, so very happy to recommend this phone

I STARTED WITH THE NOKIA 535 THEN THE NOKIA 550. NOW I'VE GOT THE NOKIA 650. IT'S A SMART WELL BUILT DESIGN WITH PLENTY OF MEMORY AND A FAST RUNNING SPEED. THE ONLY DOWN SIDE IS THE GROVE MUSIC APP. ON THE 535 THE MUSIC WAS FREE TO DOWNLOAD, HOWEVER THE 550 AND THE 650 YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR. OTHER THAN THAT I WOULD RECOMMEND IT. I WILL GO ON TO PURCHASE THE 950 NEXT,I WILL UPDATE YOU ON HOW THAT STACKS UP AGAINST THE OTHERS.

Why have I waited so long to buy this phone ? dedicated Microsoft settings it dedicated to my pc easily and is perfect for accessing emails and working on the move ! so much easier than a tab or my other phone although as a phone it does lack a lot that we take for granted and would not be used for my primary phone,super smart looking and very light Im Very pleased with it !

It's a beautiful phone, light compact cheap great screen makes calls intuitive fast with a universal interface operating systemIt sets up dead easy, won't get bricked by Samsung, unlike my Note 4 and a fraction of the cost.I brought it as a stop gap, and have decided that I like it that much I will run with it until it fails me.

Great value 4g phone. Looks much more expensive than it is. Feels good in the hand and looks good. Slim to hold.Connects easily with my car bluetooth and TomTom for live traffic. The qick setting menu is a good size and easy to access. i replaced a Microsoft 535 with this phone and find it a much better more positive experience.
