I've had 4 iPhones, before that, 2 Android and before that, many feature phones. Why anyone wouldn't want to get a well-featured, designed (and built) phone is beyond me.Remember that you're buying the architecture with this Nokia phone. The software is a completely different thing, but both work well together. It hasn't got that metal skinny design, but the key feature is that it makes and receives calls. Nokia radio chipset design with MS simplicity of use. There's a lack of apps for people who use a smart phone as something of a games centre. If you are someone that needs to stay in contact with your contacts in variable coverage areas,be assured that Nokia really know what they were doing. The battery life is outstanding and audio quality is above par for these kinds of devices. Here + and Here are two Nokia navigation apps that are so good, I've let my subscription to CoPilot lapse.Camera users will be delighted by the functionality of the software and the optics. There are many places you can read-up about this. The case is a little slippery in your hand, but a quite inexpensive replacement (£5) will solve that.Microsoft is betting the farm on Windows Mobile, it's worth sticking with the different workflow, eventually you'll realise that 'fruity phones' didn't have everything right. Most of my iPhone friends have commented about how good my phone is when compared to their considerably more expensive product. Perhaps it's not as pretty as an iPhone, but I didn't buy this phone to look like a neck-bearded hipster in a chequered shirt. The only other let down is the lack of iMessage... that's WinMo's Achilles Heel. The next iteration of the software, however, will have Skype integrated centrally.. I don't know anyone that doesn't use Skype.Read full review...

This is my second visit to Windows phone 8. I wanted a 4.7" screen in a relatively compact case and decent battery life. Also, I wanted a removable battery and microSD card slot. The Nokia 735 has all these combined with superb OLED screen and build quality, which remind me of my late lamented Nokia N9.I've upgraded it to 8.1. Apparently version 10 is in the pipeline, but no sign of it yet. It has 1 Gb RAM and quad core processor, so it's pretty snappy. Screen scrolling is particularly smooth. It also has wireless charging (my Palm Pre had that 5 years ago!), but it's slow, so I don't use it. Placement of buttons on the right hand side of the case is near perfect.I regularly get 2-3 days between charges provided I limit my wifi use. It has 4G but my SIM doesn't have it.Downsides... The nano SIM is ridiculously small and fiddly: they could easily have included a microSIM slot. The case back is a bit of a struggle to get off, but it does give the whole case a very neat appearance. The big downside, unfortunately, is Windows Phone 8.1. The email application is pretty dire - you can't get subscribed IMAP folders to appear in the email listings, for instance - and the web browser doesn't have a home page with bookmark tiles like Opera. The quality of most of the apps available in the Store is pretty poor - there is no decent alternative IMAP email app, for instance - nor is there a decent web browser. Being Windows Phone, there is no possibility and tweaking some of the hardware: I like to underclock my mobiles to get longer battery life.So... one star removed for the operating system. Had this hardware been able to run N9 software, it would have been my perfect mobile. I can only dream!Read full review...

Windows have struggled to find a place in the smartphone market which regrettably has become a duopoly. Personally I love the them, the operating system and hardware are fine and I love the live tiles on the start screen. Its just a real shame that fewer and fewer developers are supporting apps for this platform. Most of the well known players are represented in the app store; Facebook, Twitter, Wikipedia but there just aren't the plethora of apps that are supported by Apple and Android. So with declining interest in the platform it looks as though Microsoft may be forced to bow out of the mobile phone market altogether in a couple of years time.In the meantime if you want to pick up a dirt cheap handset at a fraction of the price of an iPhone and you are not worried about the app gap they give Lumia a try.Read full review...

As a PAY AS YOU GO oldie coming off an ancient Nokia this 735 is a great step forward and with it being 1year old, bought for only £50 was a great improvement. The phone is the same as the old one although drains battery much quicker. After disabling data roaming etc and relying mainly on Wifi (BT hotspots) the phone was great although you have get used to minute keyboard but that's the same as all phones methinks. The camera is really good having the added advantage of selfie feature. The window based system is also useful. Clear screen and good sizeNot quite an Iphone6 but at one tenth the price for an occasional user, great value

Very fast phone. Playing HD videos with crisp sound in this phone is as easy and fast as sending a text message. Memory is rather low but can be extended to 64GB and Battery life is long and can be extended much longer once you activate the battery saver. As for applications everyone complains about there thousands available online. Not as many as for the Android OS but how many apps can you possibly need for a phone? Another feature of this phone is its very durable and compact glass-screen. Even if you badly crack the glass, the touch function will keep working 100%!

I really love this phone, it does all that I need it to do. Yes you can get other smartphones which can do everything but I love Nokia's and this one is no exception, in fact I had one of these which I bought 3 yrs ago which I dropped and smashed the glass so instead of getting any other smartphone I bought the exact same one and I would do so over and over again. It has a good size screen, it's light weight and is so easy to use. I would recommend this phone and any other Nokia's to anyone who was looking for a new phone.

I've had one of these for nearly two years and I love it; my three teenagers lusted after mine and so I bought three more. They have Windows 10 laptops and I upgraded their 735s to Windows 10 Mobile and they love the integration as do I. With Microsoft now making it easier for developers to translate their Apps for Windows Mobile, the App deficit for the Windows platform should start to dissappear. It's just a good size, weight, fully featured phone with excellent cameras front and rear.

I wanted to get a brand new phone that was not Android orientated like my old Sony. And I also get fed up with all this hype about the iphone. So I decided to get a Nokia Windows phone because my tablet is Windows aswell.I cant tell you how happy I am with this phone. So easy and colourful and when I save photo's to OneDrive, I can automatically go onto my tablet and they are saved into OneDrive. Just one of many features that are good.:)

However, Microsoft really struggle to get Apps written for the phone as they left pushing MS Office and MS Outlook on the phone far too long ... and not they have near zero market share.I have an IOS (5S) from work, which I hate, and I have this Lumia 735 for me ... my old one died, I needed to replace the phone, looked around and decided I wanted the same one again.Thank heavens for ebay.

The phone is powerful for the price, has a great screen and responsive touch. The only drawback is the lack of apps currently in the windows store, but I find the OS really nice to use and easy to navigate. The windows 10 upgrade includes big improvements though and hopefully more apps will follow! Maybe I'm being a bit optimistic about that though... We shall see

Love Nokia 735. The phone arrived well packaged. It is in excellent condition. Installed Windows 10, and the phone works perfectly. Battery has long life. The phone is light and easy to use. Love One drive. Everything on my PC and phone shared across devices. Would recommend.

Good phone in general, bit bigger than a iPhone 5 and works nicely. Only thing is Facebook messenger will not work on it or the co-op banking app. But apart from them, no issues and would definitely recommend.

Bought it to replace faulty one. Instant setup and working very well. Battery life long as the first one was at the beginning. Very happy. Also very happy with a Windows phone which are hard to find these days
