I ordered two of the same colour (Golden) within a fortnight of each other from the same seller, but found differences:The description on Amazon changes from SPF15 to SPF20 throughout. I’ve received one of each SPF.The SPF15 is 06 Golden ‘Made in Ireland’ with a shelf life of 36 months and a much nicer presentation case. This was my first purchase and is on the left of the photographs.The SPF20 is 006 Golden ‘Made in England’ with a shelf life of 30 months, with quite a tacky presentation case in comparison. This is the compact on the right of the photographs.The colour on the 2nd looks different in comparison, but appears to go on to the skin the same colour.I tried these as my previous choice (Maybelline Purestay)was discontinued, and in honesty after my first purchase was very happy at finding something of comparative performance (hence quickly ordering a second). It applies well without looking chalky and seems to stay well, too. I’m just a little perturbed at the difference in product and can only assume one is older stock (as opposed to fake).I can only comment on the staying power of the first compact having not tried the second, but I do truly love it and would recommend. I took a punt on the colour with buying online, but the Golden complements my current suntan nicely. I will definitely look at a different paler shade come winter.Please hit helpful if this has been of use to you, it’s good to know whether it’s worth taking the time :o)

I had forgotten the ease and application of an instant foundation and powder in one product. I do recall using this probably close to 20 years ago- and this ivory shade was just right for my fair skin in full on winter mode.It comes in a simple but elegantly designed compact and has a good sponge applicator to apply the powder. It is definitely powdery, so don't expect a creamy consistency. However it applies very easily and gives excellent coverage, which is buildable to a degree. I think if you kept applying layers you would look very caked and dry very easily. It seems that everyone these days is after dewy, fresh,lit from within make up- and I have to say this is not the product to achieve this look- I added some highlighter afterwards to try and lift my face a bit as it felt a bit flat. However, in general, this gives a really excellent full to medium coverage and lasted quite well. After a days teaching and a cold.... it definitely had gone by about 4pm, however on the weekend with a shorter wearing make up day, and only taking about a minute to apply I could really get used to this again- considerably cheaper than my regular high end foundation - its a bit of bargain too- I wish I had remembered about this product a few years ago when baby and toddlers meant time for applying make up short indeed.So overall good coverage, easy and very quick to apply, just a bit of illuminator needed after.

Ok this is going to sound weird as I'm reviewing caramel (the darkest shade in this range) when I'm actually paler than the lightest shade in the range ( Ivory) but I was bemoaning the fact that most contouring products are very warm toned which even well blended (sometimes worse blended) makes my cool toned super pale face look like I've been assaulted with a bag of Doritos and then smacked with wotsits if not sure it was orange enough.I was advised to try foundation or similar products instead of the narrower contour ranges as I should be able to find then a cool toned but darker shade for contouring plus they would have better formulation and wear.This caramel is a lovely neutral-cool toned richly pigmented mid brown shade and the product itself is beautiful,it applies smoothly without drag or skipping and blends into my base impeccably to a soft sheen. I have AMAZING cheekbones with this product and I'm not going back to contour orange after this experience as this lasted all day and didn't migrate or 'wear' off. Brilliant!However, whilst I find it typical that Ivory is too peachy for me, I'm utterly shocked to say Caramel is the darkest colour in the range, in some thing as fundamental to makeup as foundation. Come on Max Factor there is a clamouring market for more inclusive skin colours of all shades.

Max factor facefinity pearl beige..............This is a glamorously packaged powder foundation, the pearl beige I have is suitable for olive skinned complexions, or a paler skin that has got a tan.Compact......Max factor have chosen to go thinner and longer with this design and instead of putting the sponge in a compartment under the powder have put it on the same level but under the powder, this is better for slim/smaller handbags in my opinion.There is a good sized mirror in the lid, great for on the go touch ups.The whole thing closes with a firm click and the powder is secure and protected within.Powder.........This is a heavy powder, more creamy than regular powder and overs greater coverage too.It can double as a light foundation,it does not offer as complete a coverage as a separate foundation and powder.It is best suited for touch ups in my opinion, ideal for stuffing in a handbag to allow you to touch up after lunch.Sponge..........The sponge is soft and rubbery, it can be wet to give you heavier coverage.Longevity............I got a few hours wear from this before it gave up the ghost, it controlled my oily t zone well but did transfer off my face on to my fingers and tissues.Removal.......A make up wipe was move than up to the job.

My mother and sister assisted me in reviewing this product, they advised me it is a lovely addition to anyone's make up collection and having used Max Factor facefinity before they were pleased with its performance.What my mother liked is that when Max Factor state that the colour is ivory then that is exactly what you get. My mum has bought ivory from two other leading brands and one had an orange tint and the other was biege/brown when applied. This make up spreads with ease and the particular type of rubbery textured applicator is the key to spreading it evenly and flawlessly and my mum would not recommend using a brush or the cotton puffs with facefinity.The compact is not too big for the average make-up bag.The compact is bigger than the average sized compact but this is advantageous in that it gives you a bigger mirror and the applicator does not sit on top of the foundation but can be placed on its own separate tray within the compact. The compact is black with a lacquered gold finished on lid and looks very elegant. My mum and sister both would buy this again and highly recommend it for both quality of the product and also because it is very pretty.

Best compact I have ever found, been using them for years. It's like a foundation and powder in one, that is easy to apply and looks good. This is a very trustworthy foundation compact. It might be pricier when compared to other things on the market, but it is definitely worth the investment. It is very smooth and spreads out evenly, without being blotchy and it lasts quite a while (at least 4 hours, was what I noticed for me). You can use this one with or without a liquid foundation and they interact just fine on the skin. Sometimes I want to let my skin breathe and only use the compact and it does a great job on its own!It's in a very pretty case and is so light that you can always find space for it in your purses.I use the natural shade, since the sand one is just a bit too dark fro me during this season. Normally I switch to the sand shade during summer when I get really tanned.It is very matte and covers any bits of skin that have a shiny tendency, so it blots them out neatly.I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to have the best quality products to rely on at all times.

Firstly, this is totally not the right foundation for very pale skin outisde of the summer months. It is a little touch dark on me but it's not very noticable. This foundation was designed with giving you a little summer glow in mind, hence the slightly darker shades. I love it though. I have combination skin and in summer normal liquid foundation set with powder melts off my face. This controls shine, covers redness and stays put (even at a sweaty gig, the photos of me did not look flushed, just a little glow) and the compact is very svelt so goes easily in my hip bag for speedy touch ups. It glides on and doesn't stick to dry patches whilst it keeps your face matte in normal conditions (ie,not jumping around a sweaty thrash metal gig) and the SPF means you don't get extra redness from the sun. It's a great summer foundation, if you layer if where you need extra coverage it will cover blemishes and scars. I have a scar from a nasty skin infection under my eye and with this, one swipe of the powder sponge and it is covered. I like it, and will wear this all summer long.

I especially like to use this when out and about as it is the perfect compact for touch ups as well as it reduces shine immediately.As always with Max Factor, they have considered every skin tone and for certain, this is one compact foundation which is a pleasure to apply as it provides the perfect base for your other cosmetics as well as providing a coverage which blends well providing a lovely enhancement for your facial skin.MaxFactor Facefinity Compact Foundation made by Coty is a beautifully presented compact which holds a foundation which will enhance your skin, not covering your face like a mask. I love this brand and once again they have created a compact which provides everything you need in a foundation as well as having packaging that gets the fives stars as well as its contents.

Extremely highly recommended, have been using this for years.Always getting complements on my skin and I give a lot of credit to this product.I never use foundation, this is enough coverage without any faff.Gives a medium ish coverage, almost 0% chance of messing up application, so easy, I often apply on the go, just swipe on and done, mirror and sponge applicator included. Touch up/re apply during the day with ease, as needed. Removes just as easily.Makes a great base if applied before lippy and eyeliner, I find it helps prevent most things budging until I want them to.Can use very little or build up for more coverage.I have very pale skin and use their lightest shade 001 porcelain.I alsohave very sensitive skin and have had no problems with this ever.One compact can last about a month with frequent daily use, or much longer if used more sparingly.I’ve tried numerous different brands, both cheap and high end, but this is definitely always been the winner for me.Quick, easy, looks great, lasts well. Perfect.

This powder/foundation comes in an unusual gold and black compact which is elongated enough that it fits nicely into an internal handbag pocket. The rectangular mirror is designed so that you can see the full length of your face, and the little pad for applying the foundation is great quality.It claims to have the "smooth coverage of a liquid foundation" but in reality the coverage is somewhere in between liquid foundation and pressed powder. It can be a little dry to apply, especially without the prior use of moisturiser or primer, and the dryness is exaggerated if you build up coverage in layers.Colour-wise the "Ivory" is more like light beige; perfect for me but too dark for my porcelain skinned daughter.It covers redness but not large blemishes.The design and coverage is ideal for quick application and light cover "on the go" but don't expect the same flawless look as liquid foundation, concealer and powder.Overall, good for the price but not all it claims to be.

My wife was quite impressed with this.“I really like this compact - it looks far more expensive than it actually is. The thin but long case is black, with a shiny gold lid, which can double as a mirror for quickly reapplying lipstick throughout the day. There is a proper mirror inside for a better reflection.The sponge applicator sits in its own little well underneath the powder block, and I like the fact it has ventilation holes to help airflow to the sponge.The foundation stays on well and does not rub off in the course of everyday life - mine lasted all my working day without needing to reapply at all. I would use more if I was out for the evening,but for me 10 hours is a good length of time not to have to worry about if your face is shining or not.If you usually use concealer, foundation and powder then this is a reasonable combination of the two, and it saves precious minutes on your normal morning makeup routine.”

This comes in a. sturdy compact with a good quality sponge applicator and a decent sized mirror. Simply apply your moisturiser to clean skin, use your chosen concealer on any problem areas, then pop this open and apply. It goes on easily and blends well, providing an even matte finish that requires no powder. Provides a natural look as long as you've selected the correct shade. Compact is sized large enough to not be daffy to use and provides plenty of product while remaining small enough to fit into a travel case or handbag. The SPF factor helps protect skin from harmful rays without adding a separate step, so handy. I have sensitive skin and similar products in the past have left my skin feeling overly tight and itchy.This was not the case here, nor did I suffer any breakouts. It washed off easily though while wearing it I did not notice any easy transference to my clothes. One to def. keep in my make up kit!
