So much easier all round than equivalent ICE versions.Apart from keeping blade sharp, no messy time-consuming prepping before use.Quiet! You don't need ear protection. This makes it safer all round. With ICE saws, not being able to hear other things going on around you can often be the cause of accident.OK a good ICE machine starts fairly easily, but how many of them always start first time?No hassle here, as long as the batteries are OK, it runs when you pull the trigger.All over far superior to the equivalent ICE saw.You wouldn't use it to fell big trees in a forest, but that's not what it's designed for.Excellent all round. 10 out of 10

These are great little saws, they are relatively light and give around 20 to 25 mins cutting time on 4ah batteries, I have cut trees down up to about 10" diameter without problems.I own a fair number of Stihl petrol chainsaws and it's quite clear there is a distinct lack of power in the Makita so don't expect it to perform like a petrol chainsaw, buy for what it is it's a great little product

Surprised how good it is, only wish I’d bought it sooner!! Don’t get me wrong it’ll never replace my petrol Stihl, but Only use it for cutting the smaller 6-7” down, as opposed to using the heavier noisier machine. I was concerned about the run time of the batteries before I bought it, but I use my 5ah batteries and they last longer than a tank of juice!!!Well chuffed ?

I am so happy with this saw, it is easy to use, light weight, easy to carry in a bag anywhere,batteries last around 20 minuets each, 3ah ones, shame its not a bit longer though. Looks good, made well, cuts decent size wood, have been cutting 10" trunks with ease. Highly recommended

Arrived on time. Put together very easily. Very effective & easily adjusted chain tension. Easy oil loading. Put two 4 amp batteries on & worked for 45 minutes flat out & still some charge left. Chain brake very effective. Low noise & vibration. Would recommend to all.

An excellent product gives its cost valueSuitable for small and medium jobs for wood cutting up to a diameter of 30 cm easily. The cost of the product is a bit expensive but works without power on batteries for almost half an hour. Very pleased with this item.

Fantastic chainsaw for instant 'grab and go capability'. No cold starting issues or warming up. Been looking at getting one for ages. Great bit of kit, especially if your already a Makita owner with an existing battery stock.

Item arrived and after an hour was cutting up seasoned firewood mostly oak and fruit wood. Two 4HA batteries cut about a ton bag of wood on one charge. Amazing performance. As usual a Makita tool punching above its weight...

All my tools are lxt have to say this is fabulousMade absolute mince meat of a very big treeI have to say it’s almost as good as myPetrol one, use one 3ah and one 5ah lasted for whole tree and still life left

As good as you hope it is going to be, and useful for many smaller cutting tasks. To be respected, it is a real chainsaw. Keep an eye on oil levels whenever batteries are changed.

This was simple to set up and such good quality. The batteries are expensive but it really works well and I love how clean battery power feels and still so powerful.

Very good saw , dint think it be that good and wood cut that much wood on 1 set of 5ah batts on 1 charge was good price off ebay to , hardly and noise from it .
