I have tried many mascara's throughout the years (from cheap to expensive high end ones), and this is the one I keep coming back to. It has a nice smooth formula, does not clump, and the wand makes the application easy. While not a waterproof mascara (though there is a version of waterproof telescopic mascara too), it does not smudge or glide off unless your face gets wet in the rain. It has a neutral cosmetic smell, and is not perfumed unlike certain other mascara's out there (Louis Vuitton mascara: I'm looking at you!).If you prefer a natural look: don't be deterred by the name. While it does say "false lash"; unless you're wearing false lashes, this mascara will not make you look like you are.I think the name is more of a gimmick to make consumers associate the effect of this mascara with something so unattainable, it could only be fake. Do not be fooled, the result of your eyelashes will depend on the application technique used more than anything else, but a good formula and wand does go a long way in attaining that result!Speaking of application technique; when the mascara is brand new, it does tend to have quite a lot of product come off on the lashes with the first swipe. My solution is to keep working with the product until I reach the desired look, a good tip is to try the zig-zag technique. I noticed some Amazon users have commented on there being too much product coming off and therefore rating this product poorly, but with my experience I can say that I'd rather have a mascara with a bit too much product when brand new, than a mascara with the perfect amount of product when new, but which then dries out quicker than quick after only a few uses. The telescopic mascara lasts me 6 months, and only starts to show signs of drying out near the end of those 6 months. The wand is made out of plastic and rubber, and while not the most environmentally friendly, it does a good job of separating the lashes and applying product beautifully. If there is one change I would suggest to L'Oréal, it would be to look into more environmentally friendly and sustainable ways of sourcing products and materials used. If this were to happen, I would be more inclined to try out more of their products following the success of how happy I have been with the formula of this one. I like the fact that the wand is very thin with lots of small rubber bristles as it allows me to apply product onto the lower lashes without mascara rubbing off on the lower eyelids. The wand being a rather sturdy type of rubber with the aforementioned bristles is a nice thing for me as it means I can use it to brush through the eyelashes as opposed to just rubbing product on top of the lashes. The packaging is a nice pale gold with quite a minimalist look, but personally this does not affect my opinion as I care more about what the product does for me than how it looks on the outside. As a tip to any make-up user: I would say to keep an eye on the expiration date. Mascara's tend to expire after 6 months (this particular one expires after 6 months), which is when I would advise you to throw it out and replace it with a new one. This is not *only* because the product dries out and becomes crumbly and difficult to apply, but it is mainly to do with bacterial build-up. Any make-up product will have an expiry date, and it is important to keep track of because if you use it long past its expiration, it could lead to infections. In order to keep track of when your product expires, my tip is to take a permanent marker and write the date of when the product was first opened and used on the packaging. That way you can easily keep track of when it is time to buy a new one.I enjoy writing reviews to help others make the right purchases. I love Loreal mascaras, I normally use telescopic which I found possibly slightly better if you are able to wear a non-waterproof mascara, however this architect formula works better if you need waterproof. I've never been able to get on with brands other than loreal without spending £18+, which is why I stick with Loreal as it is more affordable, and other similar price bracket mascaras have been a disaster, often discarded within 3 attempts at using them, due to having ridiculously cumbersome applicators or not being able to reach the base of the lash when applying. I have small eyes with short blonde eyelashes (not that anyone would know that with this mascara).Architect and telescopic by Loreal are easy to apply and you can encourage your lash into a slight elevated curl/lift if you motion you hand in an upward wiggle-stroke against the lash, even creating angles left or right if that's your cup of tea, I find it easy to create a fanned effect with lashes lengthened and lifted upwards, which really suits my eyes better than mascaras that create a more feather duster effect. I can apply these Loreal mascaras on the bus, in a car, whilst walking, as it is easy to control the brush tip. Late in the day ahead of a night out they will not have crumbled onto the cheeks, and if touching make up up, for instance I sometimes like to reapply my eyeshadow which then means a reapplication of mascara is necessary, this reapplies well, even after two coats in the morning. The mascara can be slept in without disaster also and carry through a dash home for a 10am shower without becoming unsightly. Telescopic removes easily with normal natural facewash rather than needing eye makeup removed, Architect waterproof removes easily with Botanics eye make up remover. Long term favourite products here.

I actually really like this product. I use to use a mascarra called “manga” something, I can’t entireley remember but that became my favourite mascara. However once I ran out I was just flitting around high street alternatives trying to find “the one”. I heard good things about this one, but upon looking at the reviews wasn’t entirely holding my breath, I appreciate different ones work better for different people. I’ve only used this one twice, I was concerned that the short plastic spiked wand would apply too much product to my eyelashes making them gloopy or clumpy and sticking them together (I had a previous one with a similar wand that did this). But much to my surprise this didn’t happen at all!!My eyelashes look thick and dark and I’m actually really impressed. I’d maybe prefer a slightly softer wand (with longer spikes) to really separate my lashes, but this one was a lot better than I was expecting.

Due to so many comments about absence of a seal and claiming the product is fake, I believe the product is real but just unsealed which can be a deal-breaker for some but I was willing to take the risk and try it. I have very sensitive eyes and have used this and have had no problems. I have the real one I bought in superdrug and they look the same and the mascara itself is the same because it lengthened and volumised my lashes exactly like this one. Also the main reason why I always buy this mascara is because it's the only mascara to ever not smudge under my eyes and this particular one didn't smudge therefore I believe it's real. The lower price must be because there was no seal

I usually buy 'high-end' cosmetics and my last couple of mascaras have been, Mac, Dior and Benefit. This L'Oreal mascara was recommended by two different friends. After yet another mascara ended up giving me panda eyes after an hours wear, I thought I would give it a go, and do you know what...it works! I wasn't sure about the skinny mascara brush at first as I've always gone for the big fat brushes, but this seems to reach all the little lashes which is great. I think it retails for about £10 in the shops but I bought it on Amazon for about £6. So all in all, great value for money and works better than a lot of the more expensive mascaras.

I bought this after seeing it used in a demo online and have been very happy with my purchase. The brush is made of rubbery teeth rather than traditional bristles, in a slight curve so that the outer ends are a bit longer than in the middle. The design mostly allows me to apply mascara to all lashes at the same time, with just a slight touch up to the very outer lashes. It lasts well and a single application is enough for the day. The product definitely makes lashes look longer and thicker and the price is very reasonable for such a good product. I'm a convert and plan to switch to this as my regular purchase. Definitely recommended.

This mascara is one of the best I have tried. One of my main pain points with mascaras is the amount of coating that is always on the wand, which unless wiped gives too much coating resulting in eyelashes clumping. However not this one. No excess mascara on the wand and it coats eyelashes very evenly, separating and extending them and creating great false eyelash effect. There was a bit of flaking towards the end of the day but I found this to be case with majority of mascaras. Other than that it held very well through the whole day. Would highly recommend! i adore this mascara I have been using it for about 5 years and I have briefly tried others and none give the effect in the same I want. I like long spider leg lashes and it defiantly gives length (about twice length of my natural lashes) people ask me If I have false lashes on and others have bought this mascara after seeing it on me. Although I will say it is not a one or two coat job I do about 4 to get extreme length and I get through a mascara a month. The brush is plastic not bristles and this does prevent clumping and adds definition between lashes.

LOVE this mascara. I normally always use a different brand false lash effect one and have done religiously for years. But this is a game changer, I love the brush (although a little flimsy) it really separates out and coats every lash perfectly, no clumping at all!!! After a couple of days of wearing this mascara over my regular one, I had people asking me if I had had my lashes done!!! Most definitely will be using this one in the future, a convert for sure!! I love L'oreal products and have been looking for a lengthening mascara that actually works for years. I decided to give this one a go and I couldn't be happier! I love the smaller brush and it lengthens and separates my lashes for a really dramatic effect. There is zero clumping or smudging and it stays put all day but comes off easily with my make up remover wipes. It's really good value for money, lasts well and does as advertised. What's not to love. My new favourite mascara!

The mascara is absolutely worth the money! It is lovely, very nice design, very easy to remove and it doesn’t sting my eyes at all! What is the most important- makes your lashes huuuugeee and very long. My eyes look beautiful with it. Absolutely love it.However, as my lashes are naturally very long, I think it will look slightly better on shorter lashes because mine sometimes tangle at the edge because they become too long. But otherwise it’s perfect!

Makes your lashes so long! I usually use the l'oreal Miss Baby Roll mascara and I found that this telescopic one has similar results, but with more length and a little bit less volume. I prefer this telescopic mascara as it doesn't transfer onto my eyelid throughout the day at all - unusual to find in a mascara this price!Lasts all day without wearing off at all - new fave mascara [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
