Makes using the Samsung Tablet infinitely better to use. The 12.2" Notepad Pro is pretty heavy on the arm after a while without the case, plus the back button and Home button is sinking into my tummy when I want to use them - and I use the back button a lot as do all Samsung users. The screen when upright in the groove is angled quite far back. This is what you want when using it on a lap. There are no other positions to use but for me It's no problem. Other than my lap I have it on my stomach while laying the length of my settee after a hard day. The angle the tablet leans back is more noticeable this way when looking at it on the same level, but it's still not a problem for me.While on the stomach or lap in an upright position the buttons at the bottom are no longer restricted by clothing. The weight of the pad is completely gone (by this I mean no aching arm or distraction) and you can stop holding on to the tablet with one hand. Laying back watching a film on the tablet is excellent now I can cup my hands behind my head, the tablet is plenty safe in the groove without the need for hands. I've not seen it come out the groove at all except when I pushed the tablet back with my hand to read some text at the bottom of the screen (I learnt from it).The keyboard needs to be charged and it's done so by USB. I have never charged anything via USB before now and there was no plug in the box to slot the included USB charging lead. I wasn't happy about this and in the end I booted up my laptop and placed it beside me with the USB charging lead plugged into a USB 2.0 slot on the laptop. Just like you always get an itch on your face when your hands are covered in muck, my front door bell rang while I had the Tablet connected to the mains and rested on my stomach and pluggd into my laptop beside me. So, USB charging in a laptop is not ideal. I have since bought a plug charger with two USB 2.0 slots in it. The lack of this in the box is not enough to have a star knocked off.The laptop lays flat to be used in the conventional way if you want. Being used flat works well in this case while laying flat on the keyboard. There is a bit more weight (see the first paragraph about aching arm), but when using the pen on the pad this is the way you want to go of course. The whole notepad feels safer on the lap while flat and upright, and also on a flat surface which could be wet. I put a Nokia e17 on a table and the condensation from a milk bottle spread across the table surface to the Nokia like the Blob in that film. The camera never worked again and there were glitches too. I learnt from it. I mentioned above the tablet feels safe in an upright position on my stomach woth no holding. When partially charged I had a go at the keyboard and it works great. The size of the keyboard is just right and the size of the keys are not small like I expected them to be. The spring under them requires a light touch and I try to lessen my usual heavy handedness on the keys and often it is too light (nothing registering on the screen).but this is just me being over cautious I think. On the right side of the keyboard near the back there is an on/off switch (the USA version has this on the left side). After you have for the first time paired the keyboard and the tablet via BluTooth, the keyboard is instantly usable when you switch on the keyboard. A neat feature too is that the Samsung keyboard on the screen doesn't appear when the keyboard is on. The keyboard gives a full on laptop feel without the much greater weight. Writing memos and letters on the Tablet is a breeze. If you have the LTE version like I have I guess the keyboard will help you write text in a SMS or MMS. I haven't tried a SIM card in the tablet yet so I haven't tried this either. The Function keys do different things, one opens up the messages, another opens up the music folder and so on. The good news is these keys will be reprogrammable to open what you want them to open. Trust me on this. When the case is closed, the magnet holds it closed very well. It looks neat, has a good texture on the surface for a good grip. Most importantly the tablet feels safe. The edges are protected (these wear away and become unsightly and tacky looking without a case), spills on a surface are buffered against and you can place things within reason on top of the tablet while enclosed in this case. I do. I also store it on my bookshelf between a couple of hardback books.

Useful and protective, this good sized keyboard and tough case also feels surprisingly heavy almost doubling the weight to be carried around. The keyboard has a nice action responding with the feel of a click on each key-press. The Amazon blurb seems to be accurate. The feel of the cover is generally good, with a smooth rubbery plastic masking a strong core within to protect the tablet, but maybe it is not as easy to grip as the old fabric case we were using before. The case folds neatly and there are gentle magnetic 'locks' to hold it closed, and also when opened to the easel position the edge of the display is again secured by a magnetic strip to prevent it wandering about. However the closed case is not a dust-tight cover and there is a gap on three sides to allow unwanted stuff to creep in if rattling around in a bag with other things.Opening or closing the case allows the tablet to be powered up or down without needing to find the button on the edge of the tablet. The Preferences offer various options for customising these functions. It was charged when received and after allowing Bluetooth to work from the tablet it was easy to pair with the tablet once the password presented by the keyboard had been entered. While paired the tablet then does not bother to show its own on-screen keyboard. Interestingly the cursor keys allow one to navigate around the screen without needing to touch it so often - useful for fast typists who do not wish to leave the Home position. We are actually using this with a Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition, which is a strange size, very slightly different from Samsung's various other 10.1 tablets. Our Note is about 3mm less tall (landscape mode) than the intended tablet but the correct width, so it does fit and, while not enjoying a click to retain it securely, it is still not keen to fall out. Because of this the rear camera is not centred in the hole in the case, but it is not obstructed. The instructions supplied with the keyboard/case are minimal; a single sheet with a few cryptic images indicates only the obvious - fortunately it is not needed. The function of the micro USB socket and the nearby two tiny recessed switches on the side are obvious; On/Off slider and Bluetooth connect button. The range of the Bluetooth is impressive; the link was established with more than fifteen feet and two walls between keyboard and tablet while I was playing around with charging and the connect button, much to the surprise of the person using the tablet in the other room. There is also a short (1metre) 'USB A to USB micro' lead supplied, the same style as that for most of the Samsung tablets, which allows the Samsung charger to be used, or any USB socket. The Logitech website suggests a one and a half hour charge should last for three months of two hours a day usage. Time will tell. I gave it a few hours of charge to make sure, but could not see any indication if it was full or not apart from the usually Blue 'On' light being a steady Green. The case weighs 464 grams, making a big addition to our 544 gram tablet, and it is this big subjective increase in the weight coupled with the lack of a proper seal around the sides when closed which lost the star. Our previous fully zipped closed case without a keyboard weighed almost as much at 360 grams, but being bigger and fabric covered gave the impression of being much lighter and easier to carry.Addendum. 11th November 2014. Packing ShimsI've made up some plastic packing shims to go between the upper and lower clips and the tablet. These were bits of insulation (from CT100 coax) cut in thirds (ish) lengthways and then vinyl-glued (ABS adhesive) while clamped nested together to make up the right thickness in about the right cupped shape. After a couple of days in use to make sure the dimension was right the shims were dressed with a file to look and fit neater and then glued to the clips. Now the tablet is properly secured, even though the holder was not really designed for it.Addendum. 24th January 2015. Battery chargeThe battery seems to last for about two months of daily use before needing to be recharged. Not bad at all.

I am using this to type this review. After my Samsung bluetooth keyboard unexpectedly started to refuse to acknowledge most of the key on the keyboard I needed something pronto to stop me going insane having to use the one on the tablet. I'm not a professional typist however I can touch type with relative ease and this keyboard is easy to get to grips with in terms of finding the @ key, commas, apostrophe, the tab button and CAPS etc without having to look to see what I'm doing most of the time.It did take me an hour to figure out how to use the sound button on the number keys but I put that down to over thinking with an over tired brain, it's quite obvious when you sit back and study the keyboard...the blue FN button is what needs pressing when you want a blue symbol on the keys to work... it isn't rocket science, but often you can't see the wood for the trees, or in my case the blue FN button for the keys! The cover itself is of great quality, it's sturdy and wipe cleanable. The tablet locks into the top and bottom via sturdy moulded plastic and sits in place with the aid of a magnetic strip just at the top of the keyboard. It's at a nice angle whether it is on your lap or on a table in front of you. Having used it to make a Skype call the only thing I'd like for it to have as an extra is a magnetic strip closer to the crease in the side the tablet sits to make it more upright, as the camera views above your head in its original upright position. I used a piece of non slip pad which I'll probably keep with it as we make lots of skype calls to family. The keys themselves make a tappity noise when you type as they're not squishy soft keys so if you like to type in stealth mode this probably isn't for you. Despite this it is a nice keyboard to use and they keys depress with ease making for a smooth typing experience. It was easy to set up with bluetooth, simply turning them both on, heading to bluetooth settings on the tablet and scanning for new devices. It picked up the keyboard straight away and after entering a numerical code the job was done.On closing the case up with the keyboard the screen sits clear of the keys via two soft pads at the top of the tablet casing and also two soft pads at the bottom corners of the keyboard so there's no worry of them marking the screen. You can also fold the tablet flat on top of the keyboard so you can just have use of the tablet without the keyboard and without having to remove the tablet from the case itself.I really like this keyboard case. I prefer it to Samsung's own to be honest because the tablet isn't at risk of falling off whenever its picked up and moved and it can't fall forward bashing onto the keyboard unless you happen to drop it when taking it off the magnetic strip to close it. At under £25 definitely value for money in comparison to the Samsung keyboard. The only thing I miss from the Samusung one is the separate delete button that delete's the writing ahead of the curser as at present I keep hitting the delete button and it goes backwards, I need to remember the blue FN button for forward deletion!!!! But I can live with not having that button for all the happy extra pleasures it gives me.

This is a keyboard permanently fitted into a case and is device-specific. Made by Logitech and designed specifically for Samsung's Galaxy Tab S 10.5 tablet, this isn't something that everyone using the tablet will absolutely need. Those who often create correspondence, e-mails, or create and update spreadsheets, to-do lists, contact databases or anything similar will probably find the accessory indispensible. The outer surface is about 75% cloth-covered and the remainder is a rubber-feel plastic. It feels sturdy and is well-designed.On-screen keyboards are certainly useful but they were never intended for intensive data input. They are convenient but also slow and they are often limited at any instance to either normal A-Z,numerics and some punctuation characters, and finally various little used characters by switching between available modes. A physical keyboard will reduce the number of key sets to use. If you are writing a novel or anything above a few hundred words, you probably would prefer to use something other than the on-screen keyboard. The presentation is outstanding and superior to anything similar that has yet been seen. When closed, the case protects the screen especially when being transported. It then integrates with the tablet so completely that when you close the case it switches the tablet to Sleep mode thereby saving power - you don't have to unnecessarily switch off the device. The keyboard is battery powered and rechargeable via a supposedly included micro-USB lead (it was either missing or its claimed inclusion was incorrect). Users of the Logitech Performance MX Mouse can use the same cable. It may be connected to any available USB charger plug, to a socket on a PC or laptop or to a portable power pack. A full charge takes about 4 hours and provides up to about 3 months of occasional use and probably several days or possibly weeks of more intensive use. A stylus is included and there is a storage tab on the case.Being by Logitech, you would expect the keyboard to be good, and it is. It includes a couple of Android-related keys and is connected via Bluetooth. Pairing with several Bluetooth devices is possible, and it could be used across an organisation if all its personal are using similar devices. Several keys have a blue-highlighted alternate function that are invoked by depressing its FN key and whichever key is then relevant. It isn't cheap, but is well-made and compares favourably with comparable keyboard-case combos for other brands of tablet. It certainly surpasses in quality and usability the 'no name' products sometimes offered, some of which had been tried with or for other tablet models, and which often fail or perform indifferently. If you are a heavy user of a Galaxy Tab S 10.5, you will probably need it and may later regret not making the purchase should you decide against it.POSTSCRIPT - Logitech appear to no longer publish a contact number where you can report missing accessories etc.

Reviewing: Samsung Galaxy Note Pro 12.2.I should be able to give this product 5 stars...However, it has been six weeks since I received the keyboard, and still Logitech cannot explain to me how to configure the keyboard for an English UK layout.I want to emphasise that the delivery was speedy, the product is exactly as described, and it was well packed with full instructions. I can't fault the seller - they get 5 stars. You'd think that a manufacturer known for their expertise in keyboards would make it easy to configure the keyboard for reasonably well known country called the "UK". Not so. The enclosed instructions are incorrect. Even after an hour or so fiddling with settings on my tablet and searching the web, still my quote and "@" keys were transposed and throwing up the wrong characters. It doesn't sound like much, but it makes the keyboard too painful to use properly. Several attempts with Logitech Support just made me frustrated as it's clear no one actually reads the case notes. Actually, that's not true, someone did eventually give me an answer that made sense, and that was to download the Logitech Keyboard Plus App from the Play Store (not mentioned in the enclosed instructions or in the forum). But, that was only after 5 weeks that I got that tip. Unfortunately, the App doesn't work as explained, and no matter how long you spend trying all the possible ways to make it a UK keyboard layout, all you end up with is a headache.I have been back to Logitech to tell them their App doesn't work as described, but it's been 4 days, but nothing except a request to fill out a survey about their customer support. If their intent is to insult and upset their customers, they are spot on with that.Having said all that, the actual keyboard its self is a joy to use. The action is positive, and it's nice to type on. It connects via Bluetooth easily once paired, and the battery life seems very good. It provides a very sturdy support for the tablet when in work-mode. and the whole thing folds over the tablet to protect it when stowed away. Overall, it feels sturdy and looks nice. It has a magnetic clasp which works really well, and it's easy to install the tablet and remove it quickly if need be. You won't be disappointed with this keyboard if you can somehow get it to behave correctly for you if you require a UK layout.I really want so badly to give this product 5 stars, but it just can't have 5 as Logitech somehow have sabotaged their very own product with bad configuration methods and absolutely terrible customer support. Shame.Tip: The case is reasonably heavy and not the slimmest I've seen, and that's due to the level protection it provides and the build quality - but it may be worth checking the weight and dimensions if that is going to be a factor in your application.

The Logitech keyboard is a joy to use, just make sure you purchase the COUNTRY VERSION that you normally use. For instance there is a difference to the key layout between the UK and the USA versions, e.g. the # and £.I purchased my Samsung Galaxy Pro 12.2 as an upgrade to my Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1, of which I found to be an indispensible part of my writers toolkit. I was looking for a device that I could take anywhere, use like a tablet, yet still have the functionality of a laptop. With its 12.2 inch screen it is functionally close to most 13 inch laptops. I purchased the Logitech PRO 12.2 inch Bluetooth keyboard/protective cover and a Samsung Bluetooth mouse, and wrapped up the bundle with a pair of Bluetooth headphones. Surprisingly all devices work together with no dropouts. So I have the portability of the tablet with the full functionality of a laptop, the perfect partner for the mobile writer. The screen on the 12.2 is crystal clear and with all my Bluetooth devices connected I have not found any issues with bouncing between keyboard/mouse and touch screen. I get the impression that Samsung are trying to make the 12.2 look like a MS 8 device, don’t worry, it’s not.Being a writer I have historically used MS Word to do my writing and I was concerned about the trade-off to Android software. MS do an Android version of Word but not at present for a screen over 10 inches. I opted for Android OS word processing and hey ho, it works brilliantly, though if you are used to looking at the latest version of MS Word, you may think you’re looking at an earlier version of Word. The only issue I have found, and I don’t think it’s a Samsung issue, more likely an Android issue, is, I can’t pin the Youtube page and listen to music while I have another page running. This is something that has been discussed on the Android forums. I could pin the Youtube page on my old Samsung 10.1 running Android version 4.Using the mouse takes a bit of getting used to, maybe it’s just the way the Samsung Bluetooth mouse works. For instance the right button takes you back to the last screen and the left hand side button opens the task manager. All in all, the Samsung Bluetooth mouse is a great addition. If you are used to the 500-1TB hard drives in most modern laptops, you will have to change the way you store photos/music/files. Unlike other types of tablets, Samsung provide the 12.2 (as they do in the 10.1) in addition to the internal SSD memory, a micro SD slot. With the advent of 128 Gig micro SD cards, storage is no longer an issue.Wireless work great and so far I have had no issues with it.I rate the Logitech PRO case and keyboard, plus the Samsung Note 12.2 at ten out of 10.

I initially bought the LEICKE Sharon Galaxy Tab S 10.5 for my Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5" tablet. However, I found this too fiddly when opening/closing the case. I then ordered via Amazon this Logitech Type-S Keyboard & case. Ordered 28 June, arrived 5 July, from Portugal. The tablet fits snugly unto the casing, but it takes a little practice to open and close the case without engaging several of your apps! As described elsewhere, the magnets in the case are quite strong; and when closing the case, it does close your screen. Rubbers on the two front corners of the keyboard prevent the keys touching the screen on closing.Although the only instructions on how to set it up and use it were in Portuguese, the pictures accompanying the text were easy enough to follow. The on/off switch is towards the back of the right-hand edge, along with a charging USB socket & the Bluetooth button. Whilst it appears there is no indicator as to whether the keyboard is charged, I discovered by accident a very tiny light (red/green) just above the 'Delete' button on the right hand side of the keyboard.Connecting the keyboard to the tablet via Bluetooth worked reasonably well; it is shown on the Bluetooth screen as "Type-S"; just touch that and it connects as input device.Initially, when testing the keys, I found the usual peculiarities associated with many of these keyboard, namely the @ key produces an ", whilst the " produces the @, etc. However, this was sorted by going into Settings > General > System > Language & input. Find the Type-S, select "Set Keyboard Type", which will take you to the numerous languages; scroll down to "English (UK)". Voila! Your woes about the keyboard are over.I turn the keyboard off when not using it, even for a few minutes, just to see how quickly it re-connects when switched on. It is about a second! The inbuilt keyboard disappears and you're ready to type.It is a comfortable and practical keyboard, and there are a few additions I probably don't need to explore (FN keys, whatever they are).I highly recommend this keyboard and case.

After six months of Note pro ownership, I decided to get this keyboard. The price has always put me off.Pros:The keyboard has a nice feel. Keys give a positive feed back and key spacing is fine for me.Pairing no problems. Nice selection of additional buttons. Battery has a good life. The overall look of keyboard compliments the Note.I can toggle between my chosen languages easily. And adding a none Logitech Bluetooth Mouse had no interference with this keyboard.Cons:If I ホールド hold down the shift key and press <Space> my keyboard changes to my Japanese settings. This should only happen with <FN>+<SPACE> combo. The keyboard has a glossy black finish, which just attracts finger prints.I would have preferred something a little matt or white. No White version, just Black. Nice contrast for my White Note, but see above.Price and Weight. This keyboard is worth maybe between £60 - 80. You are paying at least £30 for the Logitech Name. I think they could have buddled a Bluetooth mouse in at the price it is. The weight pushes the note to around 1.2Kg from 700g.The screen doesn't turn off automatically when closed. There is a mass effect magnetic sensor to the right of Samsung logo. I thought about retro fitting a magnet to the Keyboard, but as yet haven't. This would make the screen turn off automatically again.Additional Purchases:I purchased a Neat Optical Screen Cleaning microfibe cloth. 30x30. I lay it on the keys as I was worried of the rubber keys rubbing on the screen. This works well for me. ASIN: B002E3PMAEI strongly recommend getting a BlueTooth mouse if you get this keyboard. As you don't need reach out to the screen. The S mouse seems good, but over priced for me in Japan. So I picked up a £5 iBuffalo mouse using the Bluetooth 3.0 standard.I also purchased an Elecom Zeroshock 13.3" carry case to carry this lot in. Just for easier carrying and piece of mind. The magnets that keep the cover closed are strong. I purchased case here in Japan on the JP Amazon site ASIN: B003UIRHS2

The cover/keyboard form Logitech for Samsung Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 is the best option for upgrading your tablet to a mini-laptop. The quality and the materials used to build this gadget are at high level, very smooth, beautiful and comforble feeling at touch, ergonomic and precise in commands. The package camed in a very nice and elegand box which give me a little and precious feeling of rewarding from Logitech Team. The gadget came with only one accesorie: a mini USB cable for data transfer and charging. The cover is a little bit heavy, which in this case is not a bad thing. That prooves the high quality of this cover and give you the safty feeling that you will use this one for a very long time (now depends on how you will mantain it).The keybuttons are one of the best thing that this cover hase it. As right now I`m righting this review, I can say that I really enjoy it doing it, I feel like a kid in from of a great toy! The keyboard is conected with the tablet through Blutooth conection and so far I didn1t have any major issue in this way. The surface of the keyboard is made from a high quality plastic, shinning, and the buttons are build in the same way. On the edge of the tablet is a small strap, which can be use for attached you SPen, located on the right top of the tablet. I`ll not going to used this in this manner but is a cool thing that I really like it. When the cover it is closed, two sets of magnets make sure that the closer is safe and that another way to say it that this is THE BEST GADGET THAT YOU CAN HAVE FOR A SAMSUNG DEVICE. The mixt of material used are plastic, leather and carbon fibre, a very well done mixture combined with a an asemble of new technologie sofware. I`m really thrilled for this gadget, because it just blow up my expections regarding the quality, the way to manage and the mixt of feeling in using it. Thank you Logitech for this wonderful gadget. I recommand 100% this gadget for thouse who use a Note Pro 12.2 and want to experience the next level of quality.

I like the fact that several improvements have been made to this case compared to the very similar cases that Logitech has produced for other tablets. It's not adjustable for angle but there is now a very effective magnetic arm to hold the case in position when open and I have found that it works well. The general standard of manufacture is very high, as you'd expect from this brand and also at this sort of price. It's certainly not a cheap cover but from experience I have to say that cheap is not the way to go with keyboards or cases. Personally, I'd have liked more padding or soft material in the case as I think it would offer more peace of mind when it comes to accidental knocks and drops, but the harder plastic used should at least make it hard-wearing and it's likely to retain its good looks for longer.Setting up proved to be easy when it came to pairing the tablet to the keyboard, with no issues. Although it's not a full-sized keyboard it is very nicely spaced out and enables easy, comfortable typing. I find that I make far fewer mistakes using this keyboard than with some other Bluetooth keyboards that I have used, even larger ones. It has a good action on the keys with just enough travel to feel right, but not so much that the keyboard would have to be made physically deeper.I particularly appreciate that the keyboard has a UK £ sign on it, unlike so many stand-alone Bluetooth keyboards. The battery life has so far proven to be excellent too. There's a USB cable included in the box to enable charging, although there isn't anywhere on the case to actually store it. Maybe a retractable cable could be included in future models? The function where the tablet automatically goes into sleep mode when the cover is closed is something that I really like - it's often the little things like that which makes the difference between a good product and a great one. If the price is right then this is the top choice cover for this tablet.

The Logitech keyboard and case has brought my Samsung tablet to life. Finally, I can make it do what I want! Now, I know that many people love their touch screens and when I first bought my Samsung I thought that it would be brilliant. I soon, however, tired of it as, much to my mortification, I simply did not find it particularly quick to use. It was pleasant for surfing the Web but not much more. You see, I am a really fast typist who can rattle the keys at 60 wpm plus and this simply is not possible on a touch screen. My frustration was thus considerable and I soon retired to my rather heavier laptop where I can get through my emails at top speed. What I needed was a good keyboard for my tablet and the Logitech gives me just that.It is also nestled in a rather fine case that gives protection to the tablet itself, although I do think that the magnetic closure device is not always strong enough to keep the case closed and I would have preferred something elasticated for extra security. The case itself has a plastic housing for the tablet which is reasonably good. There is a magnetic “desk” so that you can prop the tablet at an angle to the keyboard and this is fairly secure. The keyboard itself is reasonably sturdy and easy to use. It also has a good battery life. You can use it on your knee but I actually find that resting the case on a table is better because working is quicker.I would point out that there are virtually no instructions for setting up the keyboard and this meant that I had to work things out for myself for the most part. There is a USB cable for charging it and this is, in my opinion, far too short for my liking. Pairing it with the tablet via Bluetooth was simplicity itself. In summary, this case and attendant keyboard has made my tablet into a neat and very portable “mini laptop” and I am well satisfied. It is both well designed and durable and certainly an excellent buy.

i got this as i will be using my tablet and keyboard to replace my laptop when bringing to and from uni - so very impressed with the weight as it doesnt seem to add a lot to the tablet at all but it also protects it. You are able to type fairly quickly but obviously as with all new keyboards takes a bit of getting used to, although i think the keys are good sizes and everything is in the right placePositives:-lightweight-thin-decent cover for back and front of tablet-can type pretty quickly, although not quite at the same speed as normal-very easy to set up, literally turn bluetooth on on tablet, turn the keyboard on then type in the pin it comes up with - simples!(except i then had to download and alter the settings in order to switch to english layout)Negatives:-Loud key tapping-like others have said, not very protective of edges so something could easily slide underneath / in between although unlikely-Had to download an app in order to switch to english uk layout (there are free ones though so dont mind too much, just took a while to figure out how to do it)-would be better if you could alter the angle at which the tablet sits at - there is only one way to have it while using the keyboard - i would rather be able to adjust the angleI got logitech for the quality - if being thin, lightweight and need a good tapping speed werent such priorities for me - i.e. if it was just for simple web browsing and emails rather than typing actual documents - i would have gone for a much cheaper option (quite a few at around £15-£20)However overall it is a very good keyboard to use and would recommend for those who will need a decent keyboard for documents. However I would never have paid this price if i was only using it for simple messaging etc

The title of this reviews's not much of a compliment really, when I think about it. The majority of tablet peripherals we've owned either gave up working after a few months or never worked properly in the first place, and a quick check in the IT graveyard in the garage reveals this to be the fifth remote keyboard I've owned, (Worked for about an hour and a half after an 8 hour charge/perceptible time lag between keystroke and tablets registration of same, drove you mental after about 5 minutes/ 'Ctrl' key fell off when item removed from package, etc. And don't get me started on 'protective' cases. However, this is a Logitech product, a brand I've come to trust, and it is at an um...'reassuring'price point, so I'm glad to report that it's a really excellent product:Exterior: combination of moulded ABS and woven acrylic fabric. Does look as if it would actually offer some protection. Magnetic catch, and auto-turn on and off on opening/closingInterior Tablet clicks into plastic moulding, Magnets to hold tablet in 'working' and 'reading' positions. Again, much better than the average cases' combination of elastic straps and hope.In use, Keyboard is about 80% of standard size and has good key separation, with a quality 'click' on contact. There is a compromise with the key travel, in order to make the case slim. No lag between keystroke and screen. Best of all, it offers an impressive 3 months battery life per charge. So, expensive but worth the money, I think. Highly recommended.

I was stunned at the fantastic price being offered here for this brand new case that was delivered very promptly. This is a good rigid case with keyboard that turns your tablet into something more like a laptop which is probably what Samsung had in mind. The tablet is inset well around the edges for protection but with good cutouts around the sides to access all the ports, phone jack and stylus. It also has a good sized cutout for the camera. There is a USB micro charge slot. The charging cable is provided but well hidden inside the packaging and easy to overlook and throw away with the box. Also around the edge is the bluetooth pairing button. There is a white tab for the stylus which can also be used to help open the magnetic cover. This is a UK keyboard with android function keys along the top. The keys have a very nice tactile feel and makes a very pleasant typing experience. The large keys are nicely shaped and slightly concave with a raised profile that gives a lot of travel when typing. The keyboard doesn't hit the screen when closed which can happen with other cases. The tablet is held upright in a slot when using the keyboard which feels slightly flimsy at first but seems stable enough. The keyboard has an autosleep function but wakes up quickly when needed. This is a good protective stongly magnetic well designed case. It gives a very pleasant typing experience that you would expect from a Logitech keyboard. Terrific value and service from this company.

I am exceptionally pleased with the Logitech Type-S Keyboard! I spent a long time reading through reviews of many keyboards and watching video reviews on youtube and finally decided that this one seemed the best, and I am very happy with my purchase! It comes fully charged and despite using it almost daily for over 3 months, I have still not needed to charge it. The keyboard connects easily and quickly with bluetooth and has a little blue light that shows when it is connected. I mostly use it during my Uni lectures and for use during travel, and I have found that it works perfectly for this as it fits nicely on aeroplane tray tables and the magnet is strong enough that the tablet stays put if it is jolted. The keyboard is very nice to type on; the responsiveness of the keys is excellent and I find I can type quickly and smoothly in fast-paced lectures. The case has little squares of plastic that stop the keys from touching the screen, and despite being a bit of a struggle to get the tablet into the case at first, I have not noticed any damage or marks on the tablet when taking it out again. Another benefit is that it also doubles up as a protective case and I find it does not add any excessive bulk or weight to the tablet. Overall, I would definitely recommend this keyboard, it is very stylish, easy to use and definitely worth every penny!
