This keyboard is simple and easy to use, pairing it with the iPad is quick and straightforward, and it just works (I am using an iPad 1). There are various shortcut buttons on it which are really handy (such as switching the iPad screen on and off), and it becomes second nature to poke the iPad screen and go back to the keyboard. And it is definitely much faster than using the on-screen keyboard, you can nearly get up to your usual typing speed on a computer.I say "nearly" because the metal ridge at the bottom of the keyboard is quite annoying, it gets in the way and you have to hold your hands in a certain position to type.I have only used the keyboard for short periods and the ridge is already quite a problem.I also have to mention the rubbish packaging - okay, it's stuff designed for you to chuck away, but for something costing this amount of money you would expect at least a protective plastic bag over the keyboard. Instead the thin plastic window in the box arrived all cracked, even in the sturdy Amazon box, leaving a hole through which you could touch the keys. And, quite unbelievably, the charging cable was stuck to the keyboard with sticky tape. That leads me nicely onto the problem of the incredibly short charging cable. It measures a total of 21cm from metal tip to metal tip. In fact I almost laughed when I first saw it, and it does present a unique problem of finding a suitable place to rest the keyboard RIGHT NEXT TO the charging socket (on your computer or a USB plug).Overall, these are small niggles, as the fact of the matter is that this keyboard just works.

I bought this product a few hours ago and can't rate it high enough, if you're a screenwriter like me, the iPad is something that is immediate, fun and effective... Barring the fact that the on screen key board does become odd to work with. This Logitech key board simple blew that out of the water. The keys are fluid, not like the rubber ones, it's a nice feel on the fingers and in the hand, the iPad stays exactly where it should and the fingers are free to type with ease and comfort... As you would on a normal mac keyboard. You can also use all the mac short cut functions which makes writting a doodle. Once the jobs done, u simple disconnect by lifting it out of the cradle, and fit it perfectly on to the keypad as a protective cover, safely into a tight snug keyboard fit. Be aware that it doesn't turn off the ipad screen once closed.I highly reccomend buying the latest one and not the older version which fits ipad 1, its loose fit so the ipad 2&3 falls out, the keys are too small and you keep making errors because of it.This keyboard for ipad 2 & 3 makes utilizing the ipad 2/3 soooooo much more fun and easy to work with.Brilliant product. I bought two in the end... One for my kids.

My husband and I bought each other an iPad2 for Christmas, with a view to 'replacing' a Macbook and having something small to use when travelling for work or leisure (and an alternative to our iMac). This case makes a very neat 'clamshell' combination with the iPad, which clips in snugly. The aluminium is not as smooth as that on the back of the iPad, but otherwise it is very neat and stylish. We also bought a cheap zip up case for £9 to put them both in to give extra protection when travelling. Our only complaint is that the groove which holds the iPad only allows one angle and so you sometimes need to adjust your position. The keyboard works for longs spells of time between charges and is easier to use when doing a lot of typing than the iPad keyboard. We thought that the edges of the keyboard might get in the way when typing, but we've had no problems with it so far. We would recommend this item, and it has decreased in price a lot since we bought it before Christmas!

The logitech keyboard is designed for the ipad2. It is a bluetooth device which pairs with the iPad to give a functioning keyboard. The keyboard charged up quickly, with a simple system of the light being on when charging and then off when charged. This is great for those who are colour blind like my husband who has lots of problems with chargers which go from orange to green to indicate charged.Connection is easy with a once-only pairing operation at the touch of a button and then a simple, connect and turn on and off you go.The keyboard is nice to use. There is knack to opening and shutting the case but once learned this is easy and the lid (the reverse of the keyboard) stays shut. All in all a nice, light and compact accessory to extend the functionality of the iPad - so great for note taking and for emailing.Would recommend.

I tried a few keyboard cases and this was the only one I didn't send back. I can't fault it really and for £40 or so it's very good value. The typing experience is good -- it's obviously a bit on the small side, but that's the form factor. The issue with the raised edges will depend on your typing style. I'm a touch typist and use the orthodox style with my wrists raised so it's not a problem. Build quality is very sturdy and the battery lasts for ages. It also has a standard keyboard layout, unlike some cheaper iPad keyboards.A couple of minor niggles:1. If you have it in portrait mode and you're using it on your lap, it feels a bit unstable (this is not an issue on a solid surface)2.It's not an ideal case as the back of the iPad isn't protected. I also bought a neoprene sleeve so it doesn't get scratched in my bag

I needed a compact portable solution which this is. It works as good cover for the screen when not in use without increasing the bulk or weight of stuff to carry. The slot used for supporting the Ipad feels a bit feeble but seems to work ok. It is good to use stand alone device with the Ipad on a rest. The keyboard is great and much more convienent if you are doing a lot of typing. When using the keyboard the Ipad keyboard does not pop up so you can see the whole screen. However you still have to touch the Ipad screen to make selections. This is a pricey item relative to a PC keyboard and mouse combo which are available for under £20.

been using this keyboard case for quite some time now. and am very satisfied it. however, i just want to caution users that the rear case can be scratched fairly easily as i leave the case on its back in my room all the time and move it around. after a few weeks, numerous scratches began to appear. still better the case than the keyboard. but if you're buying this for the shiny look of the case, then be prepared that this might not last that long if you don't keep the case properly.

I just received the case/keyboard as a Christmas gift and i'm very pleased with it. It looks and feels great - solidly built and also relatively light. Useful shortcut keys are an added bonus. I found it very easy to set up and twin with the iPad. A little on the expensive side however I do believe you get what you pay for - it seems to be a quality product. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend one to other iPad 2 owners looking for a keyboard.

I ordered this receiving an iPad 2 as a gift. I am primarily keyboard oriented and I found it difficult to type very much with the virtual keyboard that the iPad offers. The Logitech keyboard was extremely easy to connect to via bluetooth, and using it has been a godsend. While the keyboard is small, even my relatively thick fingers rarely have any trouble finding the right keys. All in all, I am very satisfied with my purchase.

When I received this and started using it, I wondered why all iPad owners do not have a keyboard/case! Turns iPad into a laptop - just add the Apple Numbers/Keynote/Pages apps and you'll be amazed how useful your iPad becomes. Take it to meetings and it's great for taking notes. Protects iPad beautifully.

This keyboard doubles as a case to securely protect your iPad screen. The keyboard works excellent and turns the iPad into a very compact notebook computer. The keyboard doesn't add a lot weight or thickness and the iPad can be stood up in either portrait or landscape format. Highly recommended.

Great build quality, no problems with battery life and I use this daily for note taking and other things. No problem at all with the iPad not being held securely enough despite what I read from one or two other reviewers.I use my iPad a lot, every day and I'm very happy with this product.

I thought than writing with it should be harder that with a normal keyboard. It just take you a couple minutes to write naturally with this one. The quality is very good. I know that it is a little bit stupid, but the only problem for me is that the keys are a little bit noisy.

This is a great piece of kit. It acts as a protective cover. As well as being compact it is easy to tote around with me, giving my ipad protection when not in use. Really impressed would recommend for others.

Great idea, really useful keyboard. Good quality, bought in December and gets used regularly - I was a bit sceptical that it might be a bit flimsy but no problems on that front at all. Would recommend it.
