If, like me you have an older Mac that runs Yosemite and can't be upgraded due to tech restraints but is perfectly usable in every other way then this keyboard may not be for you!Let me explain a little, my 'U' key became increasingly hard to operate with my original wireless keyboard to the point I had to nearly thrash the key to get an input! I'd had enough and decided to get a new wireless Magic Keyboard II. I connected it as instructed but got no on screen prompts or info and no battery level indicator and none of the top row function keys work as they should except the 'esc' and 'eject' key.All I've done to combat this is to place my Magic keyboard on top of my older one with the top row of keys accessible at the top using the old one as a rest,

Great keyboard, marvellous battery life, only issues being the usual Apple Tax (which I avoided) and missing a right control key which has meant retraining my fingers somewhat.Losing the almost useless number pad on a standard Apple keyboard means my arm is in better alignment since I can use a mouse closer in which has alleviated my horrendous RSI to some extent.Small footprint means more desk space all around.Standard sized keys (apart from cursor)-keyboard size is no issue for my massive stranglers hands.One week of pretty intense usage (I'm a coder) and the battery is at 85% ^_^Connected OOB to a budget (~£3) USB Bluetooth V4.0 CSR Wireless Dongle on a Mojave Hackintosh,

I think this is the best apple keyboard that apple came out with. I dont know why they make this in the first place year ago. its easy to set up, its quick at charging fast. and its easy to do typing without any discomfort! I recommend anyone who is looking for a replacement apple keyboard to buy this model. no more spending lots of money on batteries. and with this keyboard you will only need to charge it one a month. I have had my keyboard for now 3 weeks, and its still at 97% charge since l purchased to the keyboard. another good thing is that you can use the same charging cabe you get with the modern iPhones. I phones 5s and upwards!

The keyboard is light and compact, important to me as it was bought to use with an iPad Pro. The keyboard is not as comfortable to type on as that on my laptop, but is better than keyboards I have tried that were designed for the iPad. I am able to get into a decent rhythm and remain fairly accurate. iPad keyboard shortcuts are useful. The battery life is good, the Bluetooth connection establishes quickly. I have been very satisfied so far, especially having bought the keyboard at a significant discount on eBay.

The keyboard was easy to set up once I'd looked online for instructions. I was able to use the 'lightning' cable from my iPad for the initial set-up. I have been using the keyboard intensively for a month, and have not yet had to re-charge the battery. It feels very comfortable to use, just like using my old keyboard, without the constant need to re-charge or replace AA batteries. Highly recommended.

I have owned a Magic Keyboard 1, and this is much easier to pack, and since it charges via USB, it's less hassle, not needing batteries.I am a software engineer, and so use it mostly for programming.Very nice quality keyboard.Previously a had a cheaper generic Targus keyboard, but that didn't have an escape key, which the apple keyboard does have. Vital for programming.I recommend it.

The Apple Wireless Keyboard 2 is an improvement on the original (which I also have) and the re-chargeable battery lasts weeks, if not months between charging depending on usage. The key action is shallower than the original as is the title angle, both giving more of a laptop feel in use. This may not be to everyone's taste so go to an apple store and try it first before buying.

My iMac was bought 2nd hand from eBay. Unfortunately, the keyboard became a problem with sticky keys. Maybe it had suffered from a spillage. Anyway to find a new but unboxed replacement at about two-thirds of the normal new selling price was good. I have the expensive original box for the first one still!

Great product and I was upgrading from original keyboard which was run by batteries so you always had to keep replacing. This one is charged by the cable and last for ages and it actually feels nicer to use. Would definitely recommend.

I had a logitech board that "worked". But as soon as the magic board turned up it felt easy. Like my mac air and about the same size. The "caps lock" is easy to hit but you can modify the keyboard easily.

Much cheaper than the retail price.Minimal yet robust design. Satisfying typing action, much better bluetooth connection compared to the old magic keyboard (no dropouts at all) that it replaced.

A great keyboard that self configures byway of plugging in via the thunderbolt cable, one time shot. Keys responsive and a neat piece of kit. Highly recommended even though a touch expensive.

excelent product. great design, super quality build, easy to use and set-up. couldnt be happier. so glad I dont have to keep replacing batteries in the Magic keyboard now!

Just works with my Mac mini. Found and paired very quickly. Had bought a cheap generic version but no comparison with the 'real thing'Excellent keyboard. Worth the money

Yes, it costs more than most other standard keyboards, yes, it is not 'magic', but it is refined, it is smooth and it gives a great feeling when typing!
