I am quite fussy when it comes to containers; I wouldn't go as far as to say that I was a tupperware snob, but I do know my 'Glad' from my 'Ziplock'. Experience over the years (I take my own lunch to work every day), has resulted in countless containers being tossed in the trash and sadly many of my personal belongings being stained with salad dressing and soy sauce. Unfortunately promises of 'leak-proof', 'shatter-proof, 'easy to use', 'easy to clean' are not being kept. I am however, happy to report that the Lock & Lock DOES keep the promises it makes.I tested it, the very next day after it arrive! I used it to transport my soup to work: this meant it was placed in my bag, which was then flung over my shoulder, jiggled along a busy London tube, and then bumped and nudged as I walked the streets on my way to my office. The soup made it, and my bag and personal belongings made it too! Not one spill, or leak, the container and its contents remained safely shut. To say I was pleased would be an understatement, and I can't recommend this container highly enough.Perhaps it's the design that makes it 'leak-proof', because it's a twist top! Gone are my days of clip-top containers, they simply don't hold liquids very well (even with their so-called 'magic' suction power!) The twist lid of the Lock & Lock means its contents remain inside the container and they stay fresh! I have used it in a microwave to warm up my food: passed the test. I have used it to freeze food and liquids: passed the test. I have cleaned it in my dishwasher: passed the test. Although I do recommend giving it a rinse in some warm soapy water before putting it in the dishwasher, as caked-up, dried food is not always a match for a dishwasher. One last added bonus is the capacity measurements; I don't use them myself, but I can imagine it would be really useful for someone on a portion controlled diet - as you can measure exactly how much you're putting into the container.Great container, does the job, highly recommend!

I've tried other, so called, air and liquid proof containers in the past but the only ones that truly are that are either the Lock & Lock or Sistema versions. I've now thrown away any other make as they simply do not work and never seal properlyThis is the first time I've purchased the screw type Lock & Lock containers, the others have been the clip side versionsThese screw type containers are just as good as their clip onesI purchased these to store milk in to go in our mini fridge when we are away camping and they fit the bill perfectly. Two of these containers will easily take a full 1 litre carton of milkI very highly recommend either Lock & Lock or Sistema containers, they are simply the best and they last for years

I now have a few from this range. I think they are very good quality and really useful. The container is 20 cm high with a diameter at the top of 11.5 cm and feels well made. The outside also has a graduated measuring scale in mL, for use with liquids marked out in 250mL lines, up to 1,500 mL). The screw top is smooth and fits securely and is water tight. (Personally, I prefer this “screw top” style to the “clip on” style tops, that some containers have). As well as good for storing dry ingredients away from the air, I have used this in the freezer to store, amongst many other things, extra from stews, as well as soups and pasta and curry sauces, without any problemsAlso,it very easy to clean.A good productRecommended.

I'll start off by saying I love L&L products, and have a number of their products in various sizes dotted across our kitchen.Whilst all of our containers contain dry goods, herbs, spices, flour, etc, etc haven't experienced any moisture ingress and meet our needs, some of the containers have leaked when washed. So if you want these items for dry goods, they are fine, but if you want to use them to store and transport liquid items then I would think twice before buying L&L.Whilst this meets my needs, that lack of flexibility not be for everyone and means that the don't represent the overall value that they could given this limited functionality when coupled with the cost.

I bought these mostly to store small leftovers in the fridge. They are fine for that. My only complaints are;that the blue seals fall out in the dishwasher and have to be found and replaced andit is rather too easy to cross thread when putting the top on.They work fine for what I bought them for though and I have bought more after my first purchase.I bought the 560ml which seems to be a difficult size to get hold of but a perfect size for what I want. They freeze well and hold one good serving of soup if you take a packed up lunch. They wash really well and have not discoloured so far but I don't re-heat in them.

My daughter takes rice cakes to school for snack and we struggle to store them. I ordered this one as the size seemed right and there were pictures in the reviews of them filled with rice cakes. However on receiving it only fits a whole two in as it narrows ever so slightly part way down.It is still a good storage container and we’ll find something else to use it for, but if you’re buying it to store rice cakes look for something bigger.

we used to have slightly bigger ones from Ikea but over the years and much use they have got worn or have lost lids. Was real happy to have found these been searching for screw top lid ones for an age. They are just big enough for the 1/2 a tin of something that needs to go in the fridge or fruit or nibbles for pack lunch. Not sure if they are leak proof as we dont plan to put drinks in them or liquid that may leak in a bag.

A useful container for any kind of food you want to keep safe and dry but especially excellent for liquids like stock or soup, as it twists to lock, rather than clicking on (which tends to let liquids in and out as the years go by).Not much more to say. It's a decent size for when you've made a nice big batch of soup, but can still fit on the fridge shelf next to your milk bottles. Cleans easily.

Bought to carry my mega green pudding lunch, which is well over a litre of blended greens, veg + fruit; like a smoothy but thicker! The twist lid seals perfectly and so I can carry this in my coolbag and spoon it right out. Having travelled 3 hours by bus and the seal staying intact I am very pleased and satisfied indeed!Leave a point off for future improvement - BPA free please!!

Very much like the size and a little disappointed that this size does not come with clips but that is just down to personal choice, poorly fingers so a twist action is harder for me. It's strong, well made so should last for many years. This is not to be used with liquid so cannot comment about that as purchased to hold my rice cakes otherwise with Lock and Lock it is clips.

So pleased with these containers. They are see through and just what I needed. I would buy more if they were just a little less costly. I wanted these containers for storing items required for baking bread and biscuits, and as I am diabetic this includes sugar substitutes. These are very good containers and I highly recommend them as they have many uses.

Having trawled shops, unsuccessfully, for a basic container for rice cakes, I found this and after ridiculously measuring my rice cakes, decided they should fit and took a chance to order one, and,.... delighted, they fit!! Had to eat the top two rice cakes from the packet to get them in (no hardship) and then whole pack fit in. Expensive but worth it.

A brilliant development on these containers is that the lids screw on. No more clips that inevitably break off at some point. Also they take up a bit less space in the freezer as without the clips the shape is more compact.I have never known any Lock and Lock containers to leak and they are much better made than the generic supermarket ones.

I haven't used this tub for liquids yet so not sure if it is totally leak proof, but prefer the click to close lids as they seem to have a better seal. I used it for my homemade shortbread but felt it got softer quicker in that tub than the other style, but it is still useful for storing opened packs of rice cakes etc.

This is so much better than the clip things ( that DO break no matter what they say). I keep my digestive biscuits in it, and it's a much better action twisting off a lid than flipping up the flippy up things. UPDATE: I keep adding these things onto my order when I need other stuff; I guess I like them.
