A slightly larger, 1.5 litre, container in a similar format (same width but deeper) has been much used for pulses, grains and seeds such as sunflower, pumpkin etc often used in seed breads) but they appear to be no longer available. This is the closest alternative and is to be used for the same groups of ingredients. Although most often used for foods, smaller versions contain screws and other DIY bits and pieces and others of various sizes used elsewhere in the family for crafting and small stationery items. All Lock & Lock containers are rugged and the seals and locks able to accept a lot of use without failing. Air- and water-tight,they protect dry ingredients from external odour contamination and can also prevent spillage of any liquid they contain.Much copied and emulated, these are the original and still the best.

I've been using Lock & Lock for many years in a variety of sizes. Good and sturdy. They wash fine if rough-washed then popped in the dishwasher upper basket. I've only had 2 out of approx. 20 where the boxes eventually cracked and had to be replaced. The two that I've just bought in the 1.3L size both came with the sticky product label draped at a jaunty angle (i.e. carelessly) around one side; ok it's a trivial thing but I couldn't wash and use 'em straight away as I'd hoped, as it took ages to get the labels off - it's not the easy-peel variety of label; each label needed a fingernail, a careful application of white spirit and plenty of 'elbow grease'to avoid permanently scratching or marking the plastic.

A bit too small for a standard 1.5kg bag of flour, these are however perfect for a 1kg bag of sugar of standard supermarket dimensions. I've bought "copy cat" products in the past & regretted it. All too soon, the catch snaps off & you're left with a floating lid on a plastic box ! Lock & lock seem so much better made than the cheaper versions. I'm a complete convert, and have already ordered another set of 6 ! Apart from my sugars, they're an ideal size for things like flaked almonds, small bags of nuts etc - each box will hold 2/3 small bags (undecanted, more if decanted).

I have a small kitchen and these containers are brilliant as they fit perfectly in the limited cupboard space I have. My kitchen is also very damp, but these containers prevent the contents from being spoilt. I have Tupperware containers that I was given some 40 years ago, and whilst they are still perfectly okay, they take up far too much room. I can heartily recommend these containers, particularly for people like me who have very limited cupboard space.

Excellent product, as all lock and lock products. I have a good selection of lock and lock containers, and having just re-organised my kitchen cupboards needed some more of this size. This size is really good for icing sugar and caster sugar as well as pasta and rice and is very user friendly. A 1kg bag of sugar fits in perfectly and keeps very well. The price for six was really competitive also. I shared with my daughter, I had four and she had two.

These containers are the best airtight containers I have ever come across. The opening and closing mechanism is so efficient and easy. They do not make food taste of plastic, which for me is a prerequisite. I use the upright rectangular ones for keeping breakfast cereals fresh, as I do not get through the suggested daily 45gm portion! They really do the job; a wonderful invention. Please do not discontinue!

I love these containers, this one I use for flour as I'm fed up of getting flour everwhere when I open the bags and pour the flour out. I can get about a 1kg bag of flour into them. They keep everything fresh and are dishwasher proof so easy to clean. The clips stay in place and provide a good seal (I can tip the container upside down and be confident of nothing leaking.)

We buy and eat plenty of nuts, and was fed up of the nuts going slightly off in the packets; so, we invested in several of these 1.3 litre stackable containers. Problem solved - nuts stay fresh, containers stack neatly together, and the various types of nuts can be seen through the container. This 1.3 L is a very useful size for the family.

I have had these storage containers before and they are really airtight. Use them for my flours. This size container holds 560g of currants or raisins. Two bags of Whitworths, which is really handy for me.Just going to order another 2 for my Sultanas & Dates.Easy to wipe down.Much easier to store than bags.Really pleased with them.

I bought this item to store my dishwasher tablets without them going damp in the utility room. These containers are just right as they are airtight and fasten securely plus they hold just enough tablets and fit in the small cupboard above the dishwasher, I have bought two so I can stack them on top each other. Many thanks as always.

Lock & Lock food containers are the best. They stack well and keep contents airtight when properly sealed. They are plastic but I bought them to replace plastic bags knowing the containers would prove more durable in the long term. With careful use I expect them to last ten years on my kitchen shelves.

I have been using the Lock & Lock Containers for several years and have found them to be most useful for freezing home made soup and stock. The lids are very easy to operate and keep everything water tight and they stack easily, taking up very little space in a cupboard.

I've been looking for a decent but sturdy container for a couple of days, so I decided to check on Amazon as the Tesco ones didn't look up to the task. All I can say is that, this container looks and feels like it will last for a decent amount of time, good purchase.

I bought a pair of these containers to store my dog’s treats and honestly I really like them. They’re simple and effective and do the job perfectly without taking up too much space. The lids snap on and off cleanly and easily and I have no complaints whatsoever.

I like the size and shape of these. I've been told a cupboard would store more of these than round boxes so purchased them although they're quite pricey. However, they last much longer than the cheaper versions so worth investing in.
