As other reviewers have done, I bought this to store the bread which I make in my breadmaker and slice and freeze as soon as it is cold. For that purpose it seems ideal and much better than the plastic bags I used before. Just a word of warning about the dimensions stated in the product description (9.13" x 6.5" x 6.38") - these refer to the external measurements, including the lid which overhangs the sides. So they are useful for knowing how large a storage space it will occupy, but not for knowing how large the internal space is. The sides slope out slightly from the bottom, so it's safest to go by the internal size at the base - 19cm x 13cm, or 7.5" x 5.1".If your bread is no wider than 13cm it will fit into this container. If your loaf is longer than 19cm you will need to cut some off the end first. The working height is about 14cm (5.5") so, again, if your loaf is higher than this you will need to slice some off the top first. I make medium loaves, occasionally large, in a Panasonic SD-2500 and this container is perfect for them.

I don't suppose I'm alone in having spent my whole life accepting the fact that bread bins are not airtight and are bulky and are difficult to clean. I'm pleased to say that a light came on in my feeble brain and I decided to find something that was truly airtight. This fits the bill perfectly and it is large enough to take a loaf from our bread machine. Having said that, we never get to put a full loaf in as we've always eaten part of it before storing. If you have large loaves you would need the next size up which is pretty huge. This works fine for me and I'm now challenging myself to replace other things around the house that are not truly fit for purpose.

I can't believe that I didn't buy these sooner ! I've bought other brands before, and always been disappointed with the quality of the snap closures. These close with a solid little click & feel like they're of a quality manufacture. I bought these to store spices in : My cupboard was starting to smell of the spices that I have in there & I wanted to minimise odour transmission. These boxes fit about 12 supermarket sized glass jars of spices, with a bit extra "headroom" to spare if you needed the height for those larger cardboard type tubs of spices (although as they're larger diameter, you could fit fewer than 12 in there). I am very pleased

This is brilliant for home made bread*. I haven't had a stale loaf since I started using it. It is also really easy to clean, either in the dishwasher for a thorough clean or just under the tap for a quick rinse out of the crumbs - so with no accumulated crumbs there is far less risk of mould. If the bread isn't dry enough when you put it in, you can easily see the condensation building up and crack the lid to let it dry out some more. No more mouldy or stale bread - perfect!* We use a Kenwood bread machine with their standard rectangular pan and the loaf fits just fine.

I would like to give it 4 1/2 stars because when you’re trying to attach the lid, the sides of the box often cave in a bit so it’s fiddly to line the box with the lid groove. I like it because it’s a good fit for the loaves made in my Panasonic bread maker SD-ZB2502. The medium basic loaf is a perfect fit and the French and Italian loaves just have to be squashed down slightly. It keeps the loaves fresh for the 4 days it takes my husband to eat one. (I’m gluten free). He insists on keeping the boxed loaf in the fridge where it appears not to suffer in any way.

My wife and I recently purchased a Panasonic breadmaker. We were looking for a storage container that would keep our bread as fresh as possible, that was as compact as possible to save counter space, that was airtight, easy to open and close and see-through. This container fits the bill. A large loaf from our bread machine fits perfectly. We haven't tried an extra-large loaf yet, but I suspect it might not fit, because the loaf will be too tall. Note to Lock & Lock - please consider making a taller container. We are delighted with our purchase.

Not a lot to say really but it is sturdy and seals well like all the other products. We used to keep the first aid, buds, tweezers etc in a large ice cream box in the kitchen cupboard, but after some time the side split where it was gripped to get it out.Walls have since changed their boxes so we couldn't replace it, however this is just right, the sides are firm enough to hold up without the top fitted (which we do not use) when grabbing it from the cupboard one handed whilst unable to use other injured one!

I'm sure we've all tried other bands, but honestly, these are the best. They last forever, always close securely, are absolutely watertight (and 100% mothproof if you want to store cashmere items), and will go in the dishwasher if you wish.I bought this 3.9 litre size for Miele laundry powder for whites (stunningly good) as it fits the entire packet perfectly and keeps it absolutely dry.Any other brand plastic containers are a false economy. If this was helpful please click the button, it's nice to know.

Forget the supermarket and other cheaper brands / copies... pay once for the best quality.... Lock & lock everyone every time.Use again and again, no loss of seal, no deformation in dishwasher like others.3.9L size is perfect for the dry dog food as pictured. We have lots of others for food, freezing etc. So satisfying to use too - I know they are just containers, but when used everyday, it's good to have confidence that the product will do it's job. Air & watertight.Perfect and reliable.

I will admit, yes it's plastic and we shouldn't be using plastic but it has a seal air tight to it that you can't get for a container you plan on taking with you on camping or picnics. Fits the biggest loafs even home made ones. i have to admit the first time i got this i noticed it was hard to open. I have arthritis and tendentious in my hands and wrists. but if i latch only one which can be done makes it easier to open and its still sealed. lock and lock are great containers love em

Needing an said tight container for our homemade bread from a Panasonic breadmaker (SD -2502), this has proven to be ideal and takes the small and large size loaves. Panasonic extra large setting loaves are too large but slices from those are also too large for our toaster so small/large are perfect.Easy to open and close and wipe clean (also dishwasher safe) and stackable, we have ordered a second so we have one for white and one for wholemeal.Easily recommended.

The box is a good size for a homemade loaf, and the clips open and close with ease. However I purchased this because of the description "3.9 litre rectangular container including freshness tray" and my order arrived without a freshness tray. I am returning it and have asked for a replacement, which I hope will have the freshness tray included. If it had arrived as described it would have received 5 stars, so I will update my review when the replacement gets here.

Now that I have one, I want to fill up my kitchen with these things. So perfect! I bought it to hold the bread from my Panasonic bread machine, and it fits just right. Sturdy, locks closed perfectly, and doesn't warp in the dishwasher. Exactly what I needed. Planning to throw out all the awful plasticware I've gathered over the years where the lids don't stay on properly or they've gone weird in the dishwasher and replace them with Lock & Lock containers.

This container is absolutely brilliant for storing a shop bought loaf of sliced bread in the fridge and enabling it to remain usable for up to a month past the date you actually bought it! I already had one of these containers, but since lock down and stocking up in the freezer, I didn’t have the room to freeze bread, so I bought another of these containers, to enable me to store two loaves of bread in the fridge for longer. Very happy with it!

I was searching for an airtight bread box for a while now, and was unable to find one. Found this box after much research and bought it since it was the only one available in the market, from a reputable brand. The quality lives up to the reputation of the brand. Is very sturdy and completely airtight. The length could be longer but the height makes up for it. Planning to store my big loaves of bread by cutting them in half and stacking them.
