This is a handy nest of storage containers that benefit from colour coordinated lids and bases so that the right bits can be matched together with minimal fuss. The lids stack and clip together, forming a mini pyramid that sits neatly on top of the nesting bases, so you can pick the smallest, mid-sized or any other size from the stack and match the top without having to unclip every other sized container or lid, which maximises convenience. At this stage and with new containers, all the lids clip tightly in place in a similar fashion to one of the alternative brands, Lock and Lock. This currently produces a watertight seal to the extent that a container can be placed on its side, full of water, without leaking and will also provide a good seal for items in the fridge or dried goods. They can be used in the microwave and freezer and are dishwasher safe however, my experience of Joseph Joseph containers is that the lids warp if repeatedly washed in a dishwasher to the extent they no longer seal properly. The plastic on these containers feels a little different to those I have previously owned and it may be that problem has been addressed, but I will be using a dishwasher and will update should that have a detrimental effect in the future. As it stands, these are a good set of storage containers with a space saving design that does not compromise the ease of use.UpdateThe large indents in the lids that allow them to be stacked neatly for storage also fill up with water in the dishwasher, so these are not really dishwasher friendly - water pools whichever way the lids are placed on the rack, which also means they can accumulate food residue and need to go through a second, or third time. The lids are still clipping back to provide a watertight seal at the moment but it is still early days and a further update will follow if that changes.

My wife and I were fed up with trying to match lids with bowls from our extensive collection of odd-sized containers, built up over many years; we do not have enough space to store each container with its lid on.For many years, Tupperware Oyster pots have been our favourites for avoiding this problem, since the lids are not detachable and, when open, the containers can stack one inside the other. But they don't seal, so they are not good for foods with liquids that are going to be moved around (eg on a picnic). These may be expensive, but they answer all these problems. They seal properly, the lids and bowls can easily be married up because of the colour-coding, and they are stackable. In fact,if you buy more than one set (we've bought three sets) containers of the same size fit inside each other because the sides of the containers are very slightly chamfered (although it's so slight you don't notice it unless you look closely). Also, the lids can be clipped together to stop them sliding around, although it obviously takes longer to extract the one you want from the pile as you have to pull them all out in order to separate them. Also, because of the clips, the lids cannot easily separate from the bowls accidentally.Another bonus: like Oyster pots, the internal corners are rounded, so there is no corner for food to become trapped in, so washing-up is easier. They are robust, and don't seem to soften in the microwave, like some cheaper plastics.Like another reveiwer, I would not advise micro-waving strong coloured food in them; I did and it did slightly discolour the plastic. No doubt, the more I do it the worse it will get. My wife will ensure that I don't!

I have always loved Joseph Joseph products for their use of design and colour to create a functional pieces of kitchen equipment. These nesting storage containers have proved to be yet another reason to buy Joseph Joseph products. The set arrives nested together and in a neat block. The different containers and lids are colour coded so you always know which lid belongs with what and stack together to take up as little space as possible in your kitchen. They are microwave, freezer and dishwasher safe which means they are extremely versatile and useful. The lids themselves clip together using a rectangular indent in their centre. This is great as it means you are not reliant on the different sized lids stacking with each other and when one size pot is in use you can still stack the lids all together. When tested the watertight seals seem to work well which means you don't need to worry about leaks and spills if you use a pot for a lunch and chuck into a work bag. The lids clip on quickly and without the need to too much effort and can be unclipped just as easily. We have been trying to reduce our collections of plastic tubs and this set has meant we have gotten rid of a lot of random bits and pieces because we simply don't need them anymore. Space and clutter saving whilst being functional, easy to use and a little bit funky looking. Bit of a win all round I think.

Food containers are not rated that highly on my excite-o-meter, but when you have some left over beans to put away, they come in handy. My cupboard is currently full of random bits of container and lids; it takes me a while just to find two bits that fit together. 'Joseph Joseph Nest Containers' aim to be the solution as they are designed to fit and click together to take up far less space. Done right and the entire nest should be just a little bit bigger than the largest one.To get the most out of the 'Joseph' containers you really need to use the unique selling point as apart from that they are very nice containers, but mere containers nonetheless. If you use the middle size, you have to get it out and more importantly, remember after washing it to put it back. It is this part I will forget and these containers will end up being loose like all the others. For a family with limited kitchen space, the nest technique works really well. Everything clicks into place with a firm snap so that liquids don't escape. The colour palette is also very nice and you can tell from the build that these are a higher quality piece of container ware. This particular set are relatively small so you are not going to get a freshly made family soup in their, but they are good for leftovers or snacks for the kids.

I am a huge fan of the Joseph Joseph range of products and was looking forward to this set of nested storage containers. A few things I like about this product:1 – I like the space saving nesting design as they do stack up neatly thereby saving space.2 – I can confirm that they are leak-proof3 – They are BPA free.4 – The colour coded bases makes it easy to match base to lid. What I hated about this product:Not sure why but for some reason found it a struggle to clip the lids firmly in place. Something is amiss with the clipping mechanism and this in itself is of concern. Although the manufactures have stated that this product is freezer, microwave and dishwasher safe (top rack only), I am not convinced.Seeing as I am already having difficulties with clipping the lid in place, I dread to think what would happen when this product goes through the microwave and dishwasher. This process would most likely alter the shape of the product and make clipping on the lid even more difficult or impossible. Personally, I feel the Lock and Lock brand is a better option than the Joseph Joseph brand and I must say, I am disappointed at this considering the price this product is being retailed for.

This hard plastic nested 3-piece container set is a clever design idea, because if, like me, you have a lot of these contains already, one does begin to run out of space for them, risking one or two falling out of the cupboard when you open the door. The lids are different colours, one for each size container, which also stack, upside down, whilst the containers stack one inside the other. The containers are BPA free. This is a mildly noxious substance given off when we heat a typical plastic container in the microwave or store heated food in them. The 'lock down' lids are air-tight and leak proof, which is ideal for storing things such as cheese, fruit, leftover food, soups, etc.As usual, you need to avoid oily foods and strong colorants, such as tomatoes, if you want them to go on looking like new. They are not suitable for an oven (being plastic, after all).Other positive features are that they are dishwasher safe, space-saving and freezer proof. The sizes are:- 8fl (230ml)-18fl (540ml)- 37fl (1.1L)The lid colours are yellow (8fl), orange (18fl) and red (37fl).

This Joseph Jospeh Nest Lock 5-Piece Storage Container Set is not only practical but also fun with the multi-colour containers.I enjoy using these containers because the plastic is dense and of superior quality when compared to similar products. The sizes are considerate too, meeting all of my needs. I also value the locking mechanism as this helps keep food fresher for longer and because it is a proper locking mechanism food and liquids cannot ‘easily’ escape. The nesting feature is a great space saver too, and did I mention the colour coding? You can match the base with the lid? Simple, yet genius! While expensive, use the product once and you will justify the expenditure. They are more than just a container; they are a lifestyle choice. Joseph Joseph creates some of the most functional kitchen utensils and these containers are a welcomed addition to their product range. I recommend this outstanding product.

Orange is not really my favourite colour, but I've looked at this range of products and they have storage boxes in different sizes using different colours, so if you have different sizes, the colour makes it easy to get the size you want with the correct lid. When not in use these stack nicely together for easy storage. These orange ones are fairly small, but actually you can get a fair bit in - more than I expected! We recently went to an event where we were taking food for a shared picnic-type lunch and I fitted 12 cooked spring rolls in one box, with kitchen towel, and without squashing! The lids clip on all four sides making it nice and secure. These are a good product, freezer safe and microwave safe too,and this is reflected in the price. Currently at £18 on Amazon for the pack of three boxes in this size. I like them, but I'm not sure I would have been willing to shell out that much.

I really like the design of these storage containers in that they can be stacked together neatly and are colour coded. A good variety of sizes and yes, they are leak proof. However, they are only storage containers in the end, and I do think that £35.00 for the set it quite expensive, particularly if there are a couple of sizes that you would never use (which is the case with me). A few problems with putting the lids in the dishwasher in that they collect water and don't dry properly, so now wash them by hand, however, I haven't had any issues with them warping in the dishwasher. I can't fault the product, which is why I've given it 4 stars, however, personally I prefer Lock n Lock containers as I can buy the exact size and shape I wish for what I want to use them for. I can also confirm that Lock n Lock containers are dishwasher safe and don't warp or lose their leakproof ability.

If you're like me, you've got a space in your kitchen cupboard that looks like a tupperware scrapyard - orphaned lids, sets that were once nested, but now scattered like pieces of Osiris' body. Maybe some of the plastic tubs have lids from lost jam jars inside them for some reason. It isn't a good state of affairs.J&J have made a business out of identifying innovative solutions for common kitchen pain points like this, and these stackable containers are definitely easier to manage than most tupperware style items I've used. They stack and lock together, which is relatively common, but the great thing is that the lids can stack as well, keeping everything together. The plastic feels tough and I haven't noticed any lingering food stains or smells after I wash them. The solution is pricey, though arguably worth it if it helps rationalise my food storage inventory.

I have a few sets of Joseph Joseph boxes, and they share the same idea for storage - the boxes fit together like matryoshka dolls, with smaller ones inside the larger ones. The lids clip together on top in a stack. The difference with these, is that they have a much larger and more secure closing mechanism (four hinged sections on each lid), and the lids clip together for storage with a much larger central socket. This holds them together well in storage, but when in use individually the central socket protrudes surprisingly deeply into the storage space below. This cuts down the amount of useful space, and you'll likely end up with a rectangular depression from the lid on whatever food you have inside the box.Other than that odd design quirk, these boxes are built well, and so far the hinges are showing no signs of stress of fatigue.

I have other Joseph Joseph storage containers and have been very pleased with them so I was expecting a lot from these and they don't disappoint. A single container is 540ml so will happily take a couple of portions of leftover veg. If you think of the size as being about 50% bigger than a pat of butter then you're about there. Have had no problems using them in the freezer and having dropped one when getting it out, it bounced on the floor but the lid stayed form so I can vouch that they're leak-proof too. When not in use, all three will stack together with their lids in to a pile that's about 13cm tall, so they're nice and compact for storing when not needed.Sides are clear so you can see the contents and the lids are very easy to put on and remove. All in all, very happy and would recommend them.

Works like any other standard plastic clip lock storage box with a rubber seal in the lid. The neat bit is the boss in the lid that allows the lids to interlock neatly and should prevent you from misplacing them and keep them tidy when being stored. It's a good idea as anyone who has a lot of different makes of box all with slightly different sized lids will know keeping lids and boxes together when stacked can be an issue.Just a few issues, once the lids are locked together they take a bit of force to pull apart, so people with hand problems may want to try them first, it makes the lid slightly harder to keep clean and due to the boss you can't fill the box to the top i.e.with sandwiches without damaging the contents slightly.Still it's worth considering for your next box purchase. I like them.

This set of four is ideal for small family picnics - big enough to hold a full set of sandwiches and rolls plus a couple of tubs for salad or sides, while also being cleverly designed to tuck away after washing so the cupboard isn't full of tupperware competing for space. The ability to stack all four tubs inside each other so neatly is a real boon, the colour-coded lids and dot markers all helping to quickly tidy them away snugly. They are dishwasher-safe (top shelf) which adds to the convenience. The lids clip into position tightly to prevent leaks, although the fourth flap always feels like a bit of a struggle to click into place. Also, they're at a higher price point than I would like to see but, apart from that, these are excellent and have seen plenty of use in our outings this Summer.

Joseph Joseph pride themselves on solving tricky problems, whether they be practical ones or storage ones. This set of three boxes is a nice solution to the perennial problem of storing Tupperware-type containers when they’re not in use, without losing the lids. They’re a solidly-built nested group of three boxes, with lids that also snap onto each other, so that however many you’re not currently using, they’ll stay clipped together in your cupboard. The size is handy too, being about right for, say, a 2-3 person portion of chilli or some other main course to be frozen. My only gripe is that the price is pretty steep for three small-to-medium boxes, despite their fancy trick-stacking system. But if you can stomach that, you won’t be disappointed with the quality.
