Amended review from 2 to 4 stars.If only proper instructions were attainable from the start this would not have been as painful. As a last ditched attempt after around the 30th time of resetting etc over the course of a few days, I removed the Alexa skill for Lifx, deleted the bulb from the lifx cloud account, did the off-on five times at the switch to reset the bulb and then the only thing I did differently during re-pairing was that I forced my cell phone onto the 2.4Ghz wifi during the pairing process. Once the lightbulb was paired I reinstalled the Lifx Alexa skill, reconnected my phone to my 5Ghz wifi and the bulb has now been connected for three days straight.

I bought two of these on prime day and they are brilliant, very easy to install, took a few minutes for both and have never failed to respond to my demands. I bought another brand for my bedroom and was fed up of Alexia telling me 'bedroom light is not responding' so I ordered another one of these, Just installed it and it again took a few minutes and works perfectly. Brilliant dimmable lights in a nice soft warm white that don't keep losing the wi-fi connection. They're not the cheapest but sometimes you get what you pay for. The other cheaper brand bulb I bought from Dyas is going in the bin so complete false economy there.I must say that I really don't understand the negative reviews on here,

Product arrived well packaged. So well packaged I struggled to remove the lightbulb from the packaging, but it was intact and what a solid lightbulb, heavier than a 'normal' light bulb. There is an app that I downloaded to my smartphone to manage the bulb; there is so much you can do via this app, turn it on and off, colour changes so for those that like tech items this is ideal, for those that just want a quality made bulb, this will please both. Just as a bulb it gives a lovely bright glow.

Seeing as my kids do not understand turn on the light in the living room it was time to add to our smart technology and have the living room Alexa enabled too. Everything about this was easy. The instructions had the QR code scanned to download the app. 2 steps and was connected to the app. No having to flick on and off to connect or anything. It then after connection took me through to Alexa to enable the skill. The bulbs are compact so no issue of bulb over hanging the lamp shade either!

Bulb comes in very nice packaging. So easy to set up, also from 3rd party control methods, Alexa, Apple assist etc. The max brightness is 800 lumens, which is just as bright as standard house bulb.draws around 9 watts power, equivalent to standard bulb. Like most Led bulbs this doesn’t work on dimmers. I can control light from anywhere once connected and love the settings of different shades of white by controlling on colour wheel. The different scenes you can add effects Is brilliant :)

Really impressed with this. Installs it like a regular bulb, download an app and connect the two which is quick and easy. You can then switch the light on and off, set timers and even set effects (the flickering 'spooky' mode will be fun at halloween). You can connect multiple lights, too. The app integrates with both Apple home/Siri, and Google Home/Nest so can be voice-activated with either. Best of all is that it doesn't require an expensive base unit like some other smart lights.

Awsome product ! I can't wait to add a couple more,, as you can see in pic I'm using the bulb in a lamp holder in my utility room and it is very bright with low power consumption.Set up was very easy via the qr code in instructions and the possibilities are endless the bulb can be dimmed right down or brightened up to the max you can programme the bulb to come on at preset times and activate from your chosen device or home hub all in all an excellent product

What a great bulb! I love that I can control it from my phone and I can control what brightness I want it at. It can go really bright but also really dim too which is great. You just download the app on your phone and connect it and your in co trol from there. They are also compatible with Alexa, and most of the home devices that you can buy. I'd never thought about a smart bulb before but I will definitely be purchasing more for around the house. Super easy!

It was very difficult to get out of its packaging. Downloaded app, very easy to follow the step by step guide to set up and connect to Alexa.Bulb can be dimmed from 100%-1% there are strobe, spooky and visualiser setting, doubt i will ever use them,i will however use the bulb whilst on holiday as it can be remotely turned on and off via the app, good for security.It would also be useful for the disabled and elderly.Altogether a very useful, easy to use item.

this is a good smart bulb and it was fairly straightforward to set up through my smart phone. The the functions are quite good and has different effects, possibly the colour changing one is better for effects.. The feature I really like though is being able to control it from wherever I want. I can switch it on for my dog at home if its getting dark when I'm not there, and have it on ready for when I return so I'm not coming in to a dark house!!

This is a great piece of kit. With so much tech in our house already I was a bit apprehensive about adding yet another app based product to our home. However, it’s brilliant! It is easy to set up, first you have to download the app then you can link it to your voice control such as Alexa/Google. From there you can voice command the light to dim, full beam or even ghost mode which my children loved. We have now bought more for other rooms.

If you’re looking for a bulb that reeks of quality you have just found it. These bulbs are definitely a little on the pricey side it’s true, but once you have one and see how simply it works and how well it lasts still haven’t had one fail on us yet! You will just keep buying more and more and more just as we did we now have seven of these bulbs in our house and we love them. They also work with iOS, android, Alexa and Apple HomeKit

This bulb gives a nice glow. The app was very easy to install on my mobile and is very intuitive. There are various settings on the app, with some themes like spooky lights which would be fun for Halloween parties! Very easy to set on/off times and schedules. Only thing is that it wasn't easy to get the bulb out of the packaging at first - pushing up the base of the container allows you to push the bulb up out of the packaging.

My old colour-changable Lifx bulb had died on me after several years. I bought this one hoping it would be a 'daylight' colour temperature. Not quite, it has a slight off-yellow colour. I use the Lifx app to control my wifi lights, dead easy to use for setting up new bulbs and controlling them. You can only change the brightness for this bulb but not the colour temperature. So off-yellow is apparently the new 'daylight'.

Was easy to setup, both ‘Hey Google’ and, ‘Hi Siri’ work perfectly. Love the idea of setting up the timer so that it turns the light on at sunset and off at sunrise thus never switching on and off at exactly the same times, so useful when away from home. So many permutations (if you want), or keep it simple. Change the light intensity to suit your mood what a clever little bulb this is,would definitely recommend.
