This is an extraordinarily nice messenger style computer bag, designed by a German company but (as usual) made in China. If you don't really want an over the shoulder messenger style, do take a look at the even tidier "smart traveller" version (http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00MPQ7Y1K)It's intended for a 15.6" laptop (the most common full-size laptop) and a 10" tablet together. But there's plenty of other pockets and clever ideas. Working our way from front to back, we find:A front pocket, with a vertical zip, containing (of all things) a large cloth for polishing glass (or screen) attached to an elastic cord by a clip - a good location for a Kindle as is easy to access. On one side of thefront is a bright lime coloured flap that clips down - whose only purpose seems to be to hold your name and address on the other side. This is the highly visible lime tag in the product photo.Lifting the messenger bag flap over, we find a narrow pocket the length of the bag, with pockets for a smartphone (up to 5.5" screen), pens, and some small pouches, e.g. for earphones or leads. Also in there is a keyring. Then we get to the largest compartment, with a "throw it all in" deep space for books, sandwiches, etc. Behind that is a very plush slip for a tablet, and then the main compartment for a 15.6" screen laptop. There's a velcro strap for holding the laptop and tablet compartments secure. with two netted and zipped pouches (cables, earphones etc), a pocket for a 10" tablet and lots of space for books, snacks etc. Also inside the largest compartment is a removable bag, possibly for power-supply etc. Then we get to the back panel - where surprises don't stop. There's yet another zipped compartment the full width (but not particularly deep), maybe for light reading materials on your trip. There's a panel so the bag can be slid onto a trolley-bag (with velcro inside to keep neat when not in use) and finally a little pouch near the top, just right for your travelcard or a few coins which are easily to hand (not zipped, but is reinforced).Considering all the functionality of this bag, it's very lightweight. On one edge is an elasticated string container for a small drink or small umbrella. Cleverly, there's flaps that can be zipped up to hide this compartment, making the bag neater. The only thing missing are pouches on either end for stuffing with a small umbrella or a small drink. That would spoil the look of course - but such things I'd rather not have on the inside of the bag (may be wet or spill). But then, it's intended for classy executives who want to travel smart and tidy.It comes with a single small handle if you need to carry it by hand, and a non-detachable shoulder strap. Finally, the insides and the highlights are a seriously bright lime. Quality of materials and build throughout is impeccable.

I've been using the same book bag for carrying around the equipment for my talks for almost ten years, and I've had the bag itself for nearly twenty. Consequently, it's seen better days. So when the chance came to test out the Leitz Complete Smart Traveller Bag, it was perfect timing. The bag is designed for a 15.6" laptop and, although we don't have one quite that big, it fits our main laptop and the little netbook I use for presentations, as well as all the extension cables and accessories at the same time. There are lots of pockets in the main compartment for you to keep computers/tablets, cabling and notebooks separate. The main two internal compartments are even lined with a soft fleece to protect tablet screens. There are more pockets on the front, the back, the side (the expanding one for a water bottle is a nice touch) and on the top flap - complete with a handy screen wiper. I'm not entirely convinced I've found everything yet!I've seen a couple of complaints about the positioning of the top carry handle being on the back of the bag rather than the flap itself. While it is a little odd, it does mean that if you pick up the bag without having fastened the side clips, the flap doesn't flare open as much as it would if the handle was centrally placed. My only two niggles are the quality of the address tag and the lack of a zip on the main component. The address tag took a while to find and looked pretty scuffed straight out of the packaging. It also comes with sticky labels, which seemed pretty low quality in comparison with the rest of the bag. The lack of a zip is also concerning as it means there's a chance, if the bag is well stuffed and it's raining, that water might get in to the last place you want it.This bag really has been designed with travel in mind and you should be able to pretty safely pack all of your business needs into it and be fairly certain they're well padded and protected. Now all I have to see if it can serve me as well as my last one!

Generally we're all quite used to laptop bag/backpacks these days with their varying usefulness, convenience and quality.Even though this bag is quite pricey I'd put it as close to good value for money just purely because of the number of compartments, convenience items and the build quality and padding.Having had an accident with a month old laptop resulting in a new screen I am keen to protect a clearly fragile machine. This bag has a good amount of padding on the exterior as well as a 1/4" padding around the laptop compartment complete with the obligatory elastic velcro strap to keep the laptop in place. The fit for a 15" screen laptop is snug if like me you have any usb dongle in side slots and I have to manouvre the side with the dongle in first otherwise it won't go in,but this also says the laptop isn't going anywhere.Multiple compartments in front provide slots for phones and iPads which is refreshing to see bags catering for the multi device culture we live in. The individual bag for the laptop power brick is a nice touch but beware its likely only to accomodate small/slim line porrtable power bricks not the big chunky desk ones. However the bag is more than big enough to take these styles just not in the dedicated additional bag. Having said that while its good/nice to have this bag I'm already finding myself not using it just as its more convenient not to keep getting it in and out of the power brick bag.The only slight downside I'm finding to this back is the clips for the lid which for some reason I regularly struggle to unclip which already is leading to me leaving this open which is not a good thing but the balance of the bag is such that even with the clips undone the bag stays right way up with the flap still covering the opening and all the precious contents.Summary .... very impressed

I currently have a role in which I have to schlep my work laptop to and from our London office. In the past I purchased a cheap laptop bag which I subsequently lost and now use a North Face backpack for the job instead. Messenger-style laptop bag versus backpack? Well, in London, especially on the tube, backpacks are tricky to manoeuvre and have to be constantly hoisted off of one's back. This German designed laptop bag is well-constructed, roomy and best of all in my opinion, has numerous pockets and wait for it ..... synthetic furry linings on both the laptop and tablet pockets. It has enough space to hold my 14 inch laptop, lunch, passes, cosmetics, Oyster Card, purse etc with consummate ease.I would also be able to stow away A4 slim ring binders in there too. There is also a specially designed sleeve to allow the bag to be fixed to a wheeled case's handle. The detachable and adjustable shoulder strap seems sturdy and also includes a padded shoulder protector; the handles are also non-slip. This product seems extremely versatile. In conclusion: an excellent product for the price point. I will now be using it as my main work bag for the foreseeable future. I'll keep you informed of progress.*Update*I've now been using the bag for the past couple of weeks to transport my laptop/lunch/paperwork/stuff to and from London. It's roomy, but my word, it's heavy to cart around. I'm sure that a backpack worn on both shoulders is better for one's posture. Also, the sheer amount of pockets is great, but I keep losing things in them and panic at the railway station when I cannot locate my Oyster card. This is just a personal preference though.

Leitz Complete Smart Traveller Messenger Bag for 15.6 Inch Laptop – BlackI suppose this is the modern replacement for the historical traditional leather heavy duty flightbag for travelling to business meetings around the world .Out of the delivery protective polythene bag it is a lightweight carrier with –so many, many pockets – eg for 15.6” laptop , 10” tablet , smart phone , writing implements , documents , even a side pocket for a water bottle. The advantage over the straight basic laptop case is that in addition to the tablet and smartphone , a small mesh bag for electrics , slots for writing implements there is room for A4 papers and documents ,(sometime contracts have to be formal pre signed documents for further signatures)The bag comes with a is a neat “fold out” instruction tag (on the top handle) which illustrates many of the specific pouches and pockets with pictures of the typical contents. In many of the pockets themselves are cards illustrating the typical contentsThe bag is black , lightweight ( but sturdy) , black with a lime green interiour , well padded in areas to take the laptop and the tablet. There is a shoulder strap and a slot at the back to fit onto an airline carry on luggage handle.Others have comment about the carrying handle on the top ,which is somewhat offset. Presumably it set like that to give maximum strength locking into the main upper seam of the bag. Personally( male view!) , this gives me no problem and the tilt helps to put the bag onto the flightbag handle where it will travel in airports and onto the plane.Overall very neat , lightweight , apparently strong – rate 5 star

There are so many compartments and pockets in this bag that it is difficult to think of anything that hasn't been covered. There is a slot for your mobile, another for your tablet (my cased iPad fits comfortably in the space), somewhere to hang your keys, 3 pen holders and not forgetting the all-important fleece lined compartment for your laptop. There is even a zipped bag thrown in that can hold cables or other small things that could otherwise be lost or difficult to find - on despatch this contains the shoulder strap. The handles are good quality and comfortable even when the bag is fully loaded. It even has an almost case deep loop of fabric on one side that can be slotted over the handles of a wheeled luggage case to make it ultra-portable.The overall dimensions of the bag are 41 x 31 cm with a 10 cm gusset and it'll hold far more than a 15.6 inch laptop and 10 inch tablet; there is plenty of space for other paraphernalia including client paperwork and meeting notes. The exterior is mostly padded black polyester with the odd flash of lime green; the interior is mainly the same green and black. Everything is well stitched and neatly finished and the zips are good quality with `Leitz' logos on the thick metal pulls. We regularly travel to see clients and sometimes this includes train journeys and overnight stays. This is an extremely smart laptop case that will also hold the vast majority of meeting `stuff' that you have to take along in a compact and safe fashion; the case looks professional and just the ticket.

IT'S A BAG========Oh no no no. It's more than a bag. It's lovely. It's light and for a 'practical bag' it's quite eye catching.IT'S A BAG========Ok, it is but it's a bag with loads of thought. It has a removable pocket for cables, and (this make me feel like a SPY) a pocket for my phone, but the pocket has a ear phone connection thing.LOADS OF POCKETS=================If you simply want a bag for a laptop and nothing else this may not be for you. But if you're the type of business professional that goes from one location to another with all of your bits and pieces this is certainly one to considerOTHER BITS==========It includes a cloth, keys holder and see-through mesh pockets.SIZE====13 CMs x 28 CMs x 38 CMsLIGHT=====It's light and padded too.And gives that added protection for a tablet or laptop.STYLISH=======I think it looks better in real life than the pictures. Modern looking. It's also really comfortable to use.All thoughts, opinions and ratings are my own. If you found this review at all helpful, please take a moment to let me know. This product has quite a big price tag, but if you're regularly travelling with your laptop, then it would be worth it. There is a lot of room, and lots of pockets, so it's probably best if used as your main bag - if you prefer to carry your laptop separate from everything else, you probably want something smaller and slimmer. There is a well padded section for a laptop (up to 15.6in) which also has a furry lining, plus a smaller pocket which is padded and furry, ready for your tablet (up to 10in). The pocket at the front appears well designed for pens, pads etc. There are lots of little touches, including a detachable screen cleaning cloth in one of the pockets, plus a small tab which you can use as a luggage tag.The main colour is black, with some touches of green. This green is continued inside, and it's a colour I like. The bright green actually makes it easier to find things, instead of looking in the murk of a black interior! The handles have a leather cover, and they are padded; and the shoulder strap has a moveable padded section.I haven't had a laptop bag for some time, so I'm not sure how it compares. If you're looking for a complete travel solution for regular use, and it's within your budget, I would recommend.

This bag is pretty much as described. It is very light, seems well made, has lots of zip pockets / compartments and comes with a useful cable organising zip-up that can be removed. The black is highlighted with bright green, and this extends to the interior. I was unsure about this at first, until I tried searching for something inside. The bright colour makes spotting dull bits of IT very easy. There is plenty of space for a laptop / cables / mouse / some notebooks and a sensible day's worth of commuter gubbings. I take an iPad, MP3 player and have no trouble at all.The only thing I don't like is the interior as a whole doesn't have a zip.I always worry rain might get in through the small gaps (though the overall design tends to close the two exposed corners and there is a small collar arrangement. I also worry something small might come out if it isn't in a zip pocket and I put the bag in an overhead locker. The lack of inner zip is a matter of taste; I have seen various prices for this and I would say the full list price (currently over £130) is excessive. The price as I write this is just over £60 and I feel that is a fair, and this compares to a Samsonite bag I was using. At ~£60 I would recommend this

Really cool, in a practical sense, case. It has more compartments than a 1950s train. I drive long distances and always carry a phone, laptop, mp3 player, a tablet and a portable CD player with me. Along with their many and varied cables, transformers, discs, etc. OK so I can stick that lot in just about any standard laptop bag or briefcase. But what's great, and different, about the Leitz Travel bag is that there are nicely designed, easy to access compartments for all that stuff, that effortlessly keeps it all neat and tidy and easily to hand. Additionally there is still room for a few document files and my sandwiches. The primarily canvas and plastic construction appears very strong.Certainly strong enough for daily commuting and the like. And the more delicate hardware compartments are properly padded to give plenty of protection from knocks and bangs. The zips appear strongly sowed in and all work smoothly. The leather handles also make carry a fully laden case more comfortable than it might be with canvas type handles. Great to come across something like this that is properly thought out, designed then manufactured at the right quality level. I just can't fault it!

The name ' Leitz Complete Smart Traveller Bag' sums up this high quality product nicely; it is a bit like the Tardis in that it seems far larger on the inside, in relation to its external size, as it provides a myriad of pockets for almost every modern technological product one would wish to transport. The bag is lightweight - being made from polyester - yet at the same time, strong enough to take a lot of punishment and the fabric is the type that will only need a quick wipe with a damp cloth to keep pristine-looking whilst providing exceptionally good protection for laptop, tablet, phone etc. by being sympathetically lined in the right places. On receiving the bag, the first thing I looked at were the zips,as I always feel they are a good guide to the product to which they are attached; the zips are top of the range, and are heavy-duty yet very smooth running. The blurb lists all the pockets so I won't; but by saying it has an attached cleaning cloth, key-ring and a separate bag for a power adapter and cable it should give some idea as to the comprehensive nature of the bag's facilities. Can only be 5 stars!

Aesthetically appealing and highly practical, this beautifully finished bag will ensure the in-transit safety of all your computer and mobile digital gear needed on trips. I love the eye catching two-tone colour scheme which makes it stand out in a crowd and adore the detailed quality of the zips and other fasteners. Designed to meet the teutonic demands of the discerning German buyer, it will delight worldwide. It just oozes German functional design and workmanship. It has plenty of storage and, with its 16 different sized pockets, some see-through, it allows for quick and easy access to the contents. It swallows my 15' Macbook Pro with ease with room to spare for other tablets and smartphones. The frequent traveller will also appreciate the neat additional design features such as the handy screen cleaning cloth, key holder and the removable pouch for power adapters. It can be carried like a brief case or, by fitting the provided strap, like a shoulder bag. An extra bonus is that it forms part of a range of matching, colour co-ordinated Leitz luggage. Excellent value and highly recommended.

The Leitz Complete Smart Traveller Bag oozes quality and incoprporates no less than eleven separate storage compartments which are secured by a total of seven zipper fasteners. The detatchable carrying strap comes in its own nylon storage pouch. The first thing that strikes you is how well designed the interior of this case is - a labrynth of pouches, pockets and comparments. There are two compartments which have a soft felt like lining - presumably to act as screen protection for tablets. There is even a detatchable key ring fob incoroprated in to the main compartment. Also included is a screen cleaning cloth which has its own eleastic tether within the front pocket. All the metal parts (zipper tabs and the strap hooks)look to be of high quality. The two carry handles are nylon backed with soft black leather.I'd certainly advocate this case for business use. Priced towards the upper end of what I'd expect to pay for a laptop case, the Leitz certainly justifies the cost by its top notch design, high quality construction and sheer versatility. Highly recommended.

I really like this. I'm a bit fussy with bags - and have been in the market for a while...however I'm also a cheapskate and didn't want to go too expensive. I ended up with a black (red lining) Casemate bag which was from Amazon. P-leather, quite big. Its OK, but the strap hooks feel flimsy and the catch mechanisms are cheap.Shortly after i got it, this was offered up for review so I thought I'd give it a spin. It is great. I've shown some photos of the three main compartments. In one goes my Macbook, the lining is super-soft. In another goes the iPad, again soft lining. The third shows the phone/pens bit which is OK. If you are that neat. I'm not!The only thing that doesn't really work for me is the quick-access phone pocket on the back of the bag. I have an iPhone 6plus and it peeps out - the hole is not long enough. Would apply to any phone bigger than 4.5-5" I guess. Still, there is plenty of space elsewhere for that.Zips and strap hooks are all metallic, so I reckon this bag will last a while.
