I got one of these for a 15" MacBook Pro and haven't regretted it. It looks good, the desktop footprint is small, I find the height spot on and the built in USB hub is very handy. It also feels very sturdy and stable, which is reassuring if your laptop is expensive. It's lucky I find the height agreeable because it is hardly adjustable. You get two sets of rubber feet that each add about 1cm to the height of your screen. But the option of using the lowest adjustment doesn't appeal since it leaves the hard plastic of the riser itself in contact with your desk, with all the sliding and noisy possibilities that entails. So if, like me, you always keep at least one set of feet in place you're left with 1cm of height adjustment, which is hardly worth mentioning.Other drawbacks include the fact that the Fellowes riser appears to have been designed with brick-like 80's laptops in mind, since the gap between the transparent front cover and the back section on which the laptop rests is 4cm deep! Don't forget that your laptop is open when on the riser, so this leaves a yawning gap (about 3cm in my case) that the laptop is free to move around in. This is probably the biggest complaint I have about this riser.Other niggles? Well, though it is nice the have a supplied USB hub, it would have been better to have a powered hub that could support things like portable external hard drives. With the one supplied you should only hope to be able to plug in things like keyboards and mice before it overloads. But that is probably what it is there for, making unplugging your laptop more painless at the end of the day, but it does limit your options.I'm also undecided about the front "pocket". Using a Mac (without a MagicMouse) I would like to have access to the touchpad while the machine is in the riser, but the pocket blocks this, somewhat unnecessarily. However, because it is there I have found myself chucking little odds and ends (like USB keys) into it, which is actually very practical. Worth losing the touchpad for? Quite possibly. There's also stowage space available under the riser, which is also handy.All-in-all, despite some of the design issues, I'm very happy with my choice and heartily recommend this great looking stand.****1/2

I'm writing this review because during my search for a laptop stand/riser none of the manufacturers' details, or user reviews gave me what I really needed: how much does it raise the laptop by? In the end, I took a guess that this looked closer to my needs than any of the others I could find, regardless of price.So... Using the two sets of height adjusting feet (each of which gives an additional 1.5 cm of height), the front edge of my PC (a Sony Vaio VGN-SR59XG) is raised about 7.5cm off the desk. The angle of the platform is around 45 degrees so that the lower edge (hinge) of the screen is 22cm off the desk. The bottom edge of the viewable screen is 24.5 cm off the desk.It also means that with the lid fully open, the laptop screen is vertical and sits perfectly alongside the flat-screen monitor on my desk so that I can extend the Windows desktop seamlessly across both screens which was my original reason for searching out a stand in the first place. I'm a happy bunny.Overall, the construction is pretty sound; a single piece of moulded black plastic with the platform and front pocket made from another sinlge piece of clear plastic. It looks good without being "wow". As another reviewer said, I wouldn't really consider using it without at least one set of rubber feet as that would place the sharp plastic edges on your desk surface.I hope this helps.

We bought this for my wife's 17 inch sony laptop so that if she has to do a few hours of work, she has a more ergonomic set up ... and as it has a built in 4 port hub, she can attach keyboard, mouse, and backup and usb speakers without having to keep connecting and disconnecting these devices. The stand is made of very durable, good quality plastic, has a clear plastic cubby hole for phones and data sticks (that is what my wife uses it for) and is hight adjustable by way of little rubber blocks that fit on each of the 3 legs. These little rubber blocks don't fit that well, so it is just as well that my wife doesn't need to use any of the risers ... in fact,I would say that if you are shorter that about 5'6" you may find the stand sits a little too high.Good sturdy product that we expect to use for years.

This product was at a fraction of the cost offered by other retailers, and does the job perfectly. Increases the height of your laptop screen to a good height for viewing. No its not too high, and I'm not tall, in fact its still lower than what I would have a standard monitor at. So fa so good, and the USB ports are an added bonus for adding keyboard and mouse etc without constantly connecting and disconnecting other laptop ports. Would recommend for anyone using a laptop for more than 2 hrs a day. PS It's a nice size but doesn't fold up, so no good for travelling. Ideal for permanent desk position at home or office.

Had to create a virtual office during lockdown and was finding myself continually haunched over my laptop which was killing my back and shoulders. Bought this together with a wireless keyboard and I’m so glad I did - this helped me straighten my back at a height where I’m looking straight at the screen.I’ve taken a star off only because of the fact that it’s ridiculously over-priced for a bit of moulded plastic. Some of the alternatives also took too much space up on the desk - something this one doesn’t do. It’ll fit almost all laptops and the additional USB points are a great addition too.

I bought this product in order to improve my working station and make it more agronomic. I'm so pleased with this product!I have an heavy and big laptop (Dell Precision M4500). The raiser holds this laptop, and everything is very stable.I am so pleased with this product that I have ordered another one.The only thing that bothers me a little bit is a strong rubber smell of the legs of the raiser, but it's not a big issue and with the time it becomes less smelly.Great value for money. Highly recommended!

This is an excellent product for making laptops more ergonomical! I can now say my laptop screen is at the right height for me. I need to point out that you will need a separate keyboard because although the laptop keyboard isn't covered it is quite uncomfortable to use it when it is in position. The trackpad will be covered and unusable, but I use a mouse anyway. My only criticism would be that the rubber feet don't like staying where they should do; they come apart very easily.

As others have said my laptop is not snuggest fit, bue as long as in in balance I have not found this a problem.Worst set of construction instructions I have seen in a long time, just take a good look at the individual components, the final product picture and use your common sense. It would be useful if the USB hub was the other way around to put the clutter of leads etc. under the stand

I had bought other more expensive, more stylish lap top risers before but while this is not the prettiest thing for a teenage girls bedroom it does the job of getting my daughter to position herself correctly. Raised screen and the handy usb adaptor means that she is more likely to back up her laptop as it will automaticall plug in. Immediately ordered a second one for the other daughter.

It holds my PC securely enough, although it does slip from side to side a bit.The screen height is adjustable using with rubber leg pads - this works well. The best thing is that it allows me to type on the PC's keyboard (dont have a separate keyboard) without having to worry about resting my hands on the Touch Pad.

This is quite a big laptop riser and does take up a bit of space, but does exactly what I wanted it for. You really do need to have a separate keyboard and mouse as you cannot use the laptop trackpad when in the riser, and the angle makes it difficult to type. It works for me though as I wanted it for this reason.

Very pleased with this. I use my lap top for long period of time and bringing the screen up to eye level is ideal, However the bank of parallel ports do not fit in to the slot at the back once the plug is in, or am I missing something? Not a big problem the oval bank sits on the desk behind the riser.

Great product that does as it says. Love the USB hub that sits at the back. The only reason I gave it four stars is for the poor system in place to lift up the riser, whereby rubber feet fit inside the three legs, which isn't very sturdy when, as in my case, you need to only lift the front two legs.

Purchased this for colleagues working from home to sit their laptop at a suitable height.Excellent product sturdy and 3 height settings. No legs, one set of legs or two. Great to have a slot for your phone as well. Bonus!! Cables also connect through product to lap top keeping everything tidy.

Fits both my work laptop (small) and desktop replacement (huge). Was bought for home office so not being foldable/ transportable doesn't matter. Supplied hub is a blessing. It's sturdy and looks ok; definitely function over form. Really good buy for the price (£23).
