This is a pretty good protector. The underneath portion was easy to fit, but the cover that goes over the back of the screen was much trickier. It wasn't obvious which way up it should go (and if that even makes a difference), and the fit was so tight I did wonder whether the little moulded grips that affix it to the edges of the screen would damage the fit and finish of the laptop itself.Once fixed, I found that the bottom right edge portion didn't affix as firmly as every other area, so there is a slight bit of flex, and I mean `slight', its really not that noticeable.Would I trust it to protect the exterior of this laptop? Yes, definitely. Its adds about an extra 1.5mm width around the computer, but otherwise the average person glancing wouldn't know its there (I bought the clear version). The fold-out feet on the underside are very good, but they don't feel like the most solid things in the world. A slight bit too much weight and they may well snap, and the feet, perhaps oddly, was one of the reasons I bought this case compared to the cheaper options available.Apart from the fold out feet it also has rubber feet, and I think these are excellent for absorbing bumps and knocks as a laptop is lifted or accidentally dropped onto a table. If it saves your computer from one nasty bump or dent, then this case has done its job and is easily worth the money. To compare, I own an old Apple Powerbook from 2003. It has an aluminium finish all over, much like the modern Macbook Air and Pro, and over the years it has picked up a lot of scratches and scuffs, with one edge even being rubbed shiny. With this iPearl case, I plan to keep this particular Macbook in showroom condition for as long as possible. To that end I will use this iPearl case in conjunction with a firm sponge padded outer case (Croc Super Chocolate 13.3" sleeve protector) to protect against heavy bumps and knocks when out on the road. That case will attach around the laptop using elastic straps over the edges of the laptop. That may sound like overkill to some, but for me, this is one hell of an expensive machine, and £28 (for the two) of laptop protection is more than worth it.[Update] I ordered the clear version, and little gaps between the edges of the computer and the case itself are going to be dust magnets. I can already see it occurring on mine, and that's barely a week after fitting it! Hardly a problem, but in terms of aesthetics its certainly going to look uglier over time, requiring removal and cleaning.

Bought one of these before, a clear one for my macbook pro which was unfortunately stolen and decided this time to but the blue one. I can't really recommend these enough if you have a macbook pro that you want to protect from scratches or just add a bit of colour. They fit exceptionally well. They are tight, you have to press them on and make sure they click into place all the was around, especially on the lid but once they are in place they stay there, no moving or slipping. When installed they look incredibly neat on the top.The base doesnt cover fully as the top does but its the top you really want to keep looking its best. The bottom section has long cut outs at both sides but this probably does look neater if you have a coloured case rather than just sections cut out for the holes on each side. The has a lot of slots and holes cut out which will allow a lot of the heat out and stop the laptop overheating. Now my favourite feature!!! On the base there are 2 rubber feet on the front and at the back there are 2 flip up legs that are about an inch long. Although they are just made of plastic, they seem strong enough as i haven't had any problems so far. I will update if necessary. These legs have 2 advantages.... You can leave them folded in if you want your macbook sitting flat but if you want it angled a little then you can flip the legs open. I always use them like this. It makes the keyboard a little easier to see and to type on. The other advantage is it will increase airflow around the base of the laptop and help to keep it cool if you are doing some more power consuming tasks or gaming. When finished just flip the feet in flat for putting in your bag and you are good to go.I am very happy with this cover!

The case is great, definitely protects against scratches, however it is NOT dust-proof. While it seemed like a nice tight fit, after a few months of use, I've noticed dust build-up under both the top and bottom half of the case. How this happens I have absolutely no idea, but my friend who also purchased the iPearl MBP (black version) case under my recommendation is having the same issue. At least once every month or so, I need to remove the case just to clean dust/dirt build-up under the case. The stands however, are pretty decent quality. They raise up a Macbook Pro to a reasonable typing height, making typing much more comfortable than when the device is flat. They don't feel very sturdy at first touch, but once they're up, there isn't any visible vibration or wobbling from my Macbook.Warning: with prolonged use with the stands up, the rubber "feet" adhesive fades. After about 5-6 months, my rubber feet keep coming lose and I'm going to have to super-glue them back on, because the angle at which the stands place the MBP+Case, the rubber feet get pushed from the bottom side, and eventually come loose. Would be great if iPearl could use a stronger adhesive for the rubber feet, or do something about the angle which puts strain on the feet over time. While I'm quite happy with the case, these few issues have made the case a bit more of a hassle than it should be. It needs stronger adhesive on the rubber feet, and some form of dust-proof lining on the edges where the case attaches to the MBP. Other than that, the case does what it should do, which is protect your shiny expensive Apple product from scratches, dents, and other damage. If it wasn't for these small issues, I would happily give the iPearl case a 5* rating.

This is the second cover I have purchased for a macbook pro from mCover, the first one bought over two years ago had some minor issues with fit and functionality but not enough to give it a bad review. This cover purchased for another friend has had those issues resolved and the case is now truly a five star item. The first issue that has been resolved is the slightly poor fit of the screen lid cover. Whereas before the cover flexed upon opening, now with two extra clips it holds firm. The second issue were the feet, The rubber feet just came off after about six months, the glue wasn't good on them. Now the rubber feet seem to fit into a recess and are more secure. The third Issue were the legs that support the rear of the notebook,These were very stiff on the first cover and the plastic eventually snapped after about a year of use. This meant the leg although still usable wouldn’t hold in place while closed, the clip legs on the new one have been redesigned and are much more smooth to open and close so should last longer as there id not any stress on the retaining clip anymore.I would say the new cover is much improved over the cover purchased two years ago. I rate this cover as good value for money and gives good protection of the Aluminium uni-body of the macbook pro.

Let's face it - a Mac doesn't come cheap, so a few extra pounds to keep it clean and scratch-free isn't a bad investment.I chose this case after reading the other positive reviews.Delivery - it arrived by standard post, extremely well packaged, especially for such a thin, light object. My neighbour took it in for me, and when handing it over, described it as "... a big box of nothing for you".Fitting - no fitting instructions, but easy enough to figure out - 2 solid plastic sheets which clip carefully into place.Usage - once fitted, it is an unobtrusive and protective shell, the perfect combination. The cover remains solidly in place - no matter how much I open or close the Mac, it doesn't budge,it really is a second skin. With the cover fitted, I can open the Mac to around 135 degrees, and I can close it fully. The vents on the underside appear to be doing their job - I haven't noticed any overheating, or any heating at all, for that matter. All ports are accessible without any problems.I also like added bonus of the the flip-up feet, which put the keyboard at a comfortable angle for typing. To sum up, I am very pleased with it - a good quality product.

I read lots of reviews before buying a protective case that I thought deserved to house my new MBP Retina. Was a little sceptical when I first opened the box - just couldn't see that it would look right when attached.I was very wrong - its a brilliant fit and looks really good - assuming you even notice it.My teenage son was staring at me typing away one evening and asked what support I was using to tilt up my MBP, whilst he looked under and around it - so I told him it was the feet built into the new case. (Well built flip out feet that tilt MBP to just the right angle). He hadn't noticed the case attached - which says it all really.Clearly won'y give the same sort of shock protection as apadded case or rubberised cover - but I use a padded messenger bag for carrying to and from places of use and when I get the MBP out - I don't want to be wrestling with another padded case or hide the beauty of the MBP behind a coloured rubber sleeve. This case allows full and unhindered use of MBP without hiding it's beauty and will also fully protect against scratches and minor bumps. Spot on product.

I dropped my Macbook Pro in a hotel room and damaged the Retina LCD panel - that was an easy DIY repair, but cost me £350 for the replacement LCD assembly. This time, I'm taking no chances - hard shell case all the way. It does make the Macbook look _slightly_ thicker, but it's a small price to pay for a decent level of scratch/dent protection. I went for the clear coloured shell, because it leaves the Macbook looking as normal as possible - I barely notice the case is there. The top and bottom halves of the case are beautifully precision moulded, so they clip onto the Macbook very neatly and securely. My only complaint is that you can't close the lid of the computer when an HDMI cable is plugged in - it fouls the hard shell. One reviewer complained that the bottom shell of the case is full of hundreds of ventilation holes. This is a GOOD thing - my Macbook can get quite warm when rendering video, and that CPU is right in the centre of the computer, just a few millimetres behind that aluminium bottom cover. Increasing airflow to the Macbook can only be a good thing.

After shelling out a fair bit for a new Macbook and having treated my previous one with not much care, I felt the need for a good case. Initially after I bought this I was annoyed as I didn't really do much research and some youtube reviews were a bit mixed (such for ipearl case), however once I fitted it all on I couldn't of been happier.Don't get a coloured case, MacBooks are sexy and look tacky with a coloured case. This case is slightly frosted however you can still barely notice it. I've seen a few people say that the feet are slippery; are you using glass as a work surface? No issues in that respect, however I only use the feet when using power-demanding applications. For day-to-day applications, you won't need to use this feature.I've just taken the case off for the first time, and there's not a sign of dust or wear and tear. It can be difficult to pry the lid cover off, but do you want something that's going to fall off easily? It hasn't fallen off once.Recommended.

Bought one of these cases when I first got my Macbook. Eventually the case got tatty, which is natural given the amount of use my Macbook has. I'd much prefer to replace a case every so often that have lots of marks on my expensive Macbook! Since this case was out of stock at the time, I bought a different brand which I wasn't as satisfied with. When it came time to replace the case again, I was delighted to find this one in stock again! The best feature of the case is that the lip on the front of the case, near the trackpad, doesn't rub against the wrist when I'm typing. Most other cases I've seen have a sharp section of the case protruding, which is uncomfortable. Additionally, the quality of the case in general is very good. Being able to see the Apple logo shining though the case, even though it's black, is also a positive. The feet on the bottom on the laptop are useful to tilt the laptop a little and make typing more comfortable.

Great case, very easy to put on, and is slim enough to not add any bulk. I didn't realise that it comes with fold out stands on the bottom, that's a bonus. Also I didn't know it came with a rubber keyboard cover, another bonus. For anyone wondering about weight, it does feel a bit heavier with the case on, but it's not much - and I think it's worth it for the protection. According to the technical info, the 13" case weighs 259g, the Macbook pro retina 13" weighs 1.58 kilo, so the case adds just over 16% to the weight. For me, its well worth taking an additional 16% weight to have it protected, and I don't see how it would be possible to have a similar protective case which weighs much less.It was very easy to fit, popped on perfectly, and it's only a couple of mm think so I hardly notice it's there. I went for the clear one, as I like the way it looks and didn't really want to change the colour.

Definitely recommend this case, if like me you have just purchased a 15inch retina then obviously we have spent a lot on the laptop so keeping it looking fresh is very important, at least for me anyway.Looked around for a few sleeves and cases etc, however was put off with cases due to my previous laptop (13inch macbook pro) case which was poor non branded case and really was bad, this however looks and feels awesome and trust me clear is the way to go, as its bare noticeable many people have been surprised when they found out i actually have a case on which is a big plus point for me.Yes its expensive but 100% worth it. Mine so far has been on for 2 weeks and no signs of wear and tear atm.Just a bit on the side, due to the many vents on the bottom piece little dust particles or hair can go inside it, but again might be subjective and obviously can be cleaned with little effort.

Clicked on fine and does its job :). No longer have to worry about scratching my mac on the outside (hopefully). It is light weight and sturdy. The botton piece has lots of small holes presumably to allow air to the mac so it doesn't overheat, which is always good. I can barely tell I have the case on, I don't imagine others would either unless they came really close and took a good look :).It has legs like a keyboard that allows you to tilt the laptop, I am not sure how long they will last because I move my mac around a lot, but I imagine if you mostly keep your laptop on your desk they will be sturdy enough to last a while. No idea how easy it is to get off as I have no tried and don't plan too. When you put it on,the easy way to tell which way the top piece clicks on is to look at the tiny writing at the bottom and make sure it isn't upside down ^^.

One or two reviews on here seem to be fairly downbeat. I just received and fitted this - it fits very easily without appearing to risk any scratches on the aluminium unibody or lid. There are 6 small plastic clips that hook that base peice onto the bottom - two at each side at the front sides and two hidden underneath the hinge. They are very unobtrusive. Similarly, the peice that covers the lid has six clips two on each side and two at the front edge. They hold the cover very firmly, no give and the fit is perfect. It does make a tiny 'squeak' when you open the lid, but does not appear to catch or flex when opening/closing so i think it is a function of how closely it fits to the hinge.Altogether excellent product and i am now happy to pick up my new Macbook and put it in drawers without worrying about damage. The extending feet seem quite sturdy too.

I bought this case for my 2015 13” MacBook Pro and it fits like a glove. I was a little worried about it either being too big or too small, causing damage but it’s perfect! The shell does not add that much extra bulk onto the laptop, I already had a case sleeve and it still fits with the shell on perfectly. The shell offers protection and has all the cut outs in the right place for peripheral devices to be connected. The bottom of the shell has slots that give the laptop ventilation so it doesn’t get overheated in the shell, and my laptop has not gotten hot since I’ve had it on. There are also retractable feet that can come out which provides comfort when you’re typing for a long time.Overall I think this is a great shell, especially for the price. Offering protection and also maintaining a sleek and slim look. Definitely recommend.

Pretty solid product that fits my Macbook pro 13" Retina perfectly well. It's not 100% clear plastic, but there's a tiny teeny touch of frosty look. However, once attached the apple logo shines through the cover flawlessly. It feels like a shatter proof plastic - in fact I tried bending and twisting it, and it seems quite flexible.I would've preferred it if the bottom section was less bulky as it adds some thickness to the laptop. But again, the flip stands - which contribute to the thickness - at the bottom are quite handy actually. They make typing an easier job and elevate the screen a tiny bit; this is particularly useful if you use your Mac on a desk.I however believe the product is slightly overpriced for what it is.Hence one star out. Here's a badly edited video to give some visual aid of what this product is all about.
