I bought this as an add-on and it’s pretty neat. I used the dimensions given in the description for the WD hard drive I bought (it was a My Passport 2TB) and it seemed to fit according to the pouch size description, with an inch or two left over. When I actually tried it, the zipper was much bigger than I expected for a little pouch. The zipper was a totally different angle than I thought too, where it starts from the top left corner, right round to the bottom right one.As a result, you have to squeeze the hard drive right into the corner and kind of pull the neoprene up to stop the zipper from grazing past the pretty, shiny hard drive.Other than that, it seems nice and protective,

I bought this to go along with a new 4TB WD My Passport external drive that I have received. I wasn't sure wether a soft or hard case would be best, when I stumbled upon this soft case for £3.50 the cost was so low that if it wasn't what I was looking for, no harm done.It fits perfectly, the case is really snug and tight but still easy to zip open and close. It's quite thick, enough so that I wouldn't worry about scratching the device through the material when putting it loose into a bag, which I have experienced before.As for drop protection, I'm pretty confident it would protect the drive inside from a standard height drop onto a concrete floor and that no chips/scratches or damage would be sustained,

These are better than I thought, while not a hard case they do offer a reasonable amount of protection. I had held off purchasing these for my WD Passport drives, due to there never being any mention in the adverts of any storage space for the USB lead. They are indeed a close snug fitting cover, with a quality zipper. But luckily and to my surprise when opened, there is indeed a internal pocket to store the lead! While I'm sure there are tougher cases available with even stronger protection. These do still give WD Passport drives some worthwhile extra padding! So it should cope with most small knocks and handling bumps etc. They also don't add too much extra bulk.

Bought to protect my WD 2.5 'My Passport' hard drive. Constructed from black Neoprene which is approximately 2-3mm thick with no rigid insert support, that said I do think that it would protect the drive from a short drop (but not willing to test that theory!). It has a sturdy zipper that comes up one side and across the top. The drive fits perfectly on its own and with a little coercion you can close the zipper with the USB cable inside as well. Ideally it could do with being a just a little bigger to achieve this comfortably, had it been I would have given the extra star.Overall a good case at a reasonable price and a good investment to protect your valuable download material.

I purchased this case as part of an add-on deal when I bought a Western Digital 1TB portable hard drive. It seems to fit the bill well and does everything I need it to. As this is a soft case, I think it would be best utilised for stay at home storage, or perhaps kept within a laptop bag or similar for extra protection if intending to take it out and about.Best Uses : To keep your Western Digital portable hard drive dust and scratch free.Pros : Excellent value. Looks slick.Cons : Limited if any protection from drops.In summary : A decent accessory for WD portable hard drive owners.I hope you found my review helpful and would love for you to click “yes” if you did.

Fits my 1TB WD Elements, despite what the packaging says.The case is soft and flexible, and stores the stock cable and drive comfortably and safely. I don't think it would protect it suitably from drops, however for transportation it's very helpful.I was unable to store my AmazonBasics USB Cable which is 3 feet long, unsuprisingly.The zip opens half of the case out so you can easily slide in the drive, for fast and convenient storage.The packaging consisted of a cardboard holder telling me what I bought, fastened by a cable tie. Whilst cutting that off was kinda inconvenient overall the minimal packaging was good.Overall, a great value price!

Exactly what I wanted and brilliant quality delivered fast.Dissapointing that my WD My Passport 1TB HDD didn't come with a case, so wanted to purchase one separate and didn't want to spend much and definitely didn't want a huge bulky ugly hard case.The case is well made and looks great with some nice subtle branding and a solid zip. There is a small internal sleeve to store the cable and it all fits perfectly. All for less than £5.Cannot recommend highly enough. If you want a tough hard bulky big case, then buy something else. Want to keep the dust, scratches and offer a nice cushion of protection then this is the only option.

A simple neoprene carry case that does what it is supposed to. It's by no means shock protective, but more a general scratch protective case to keep your drive with when transporting it in a bag etc.It should really be supplied with the drive to be fair, as most purchasers of this type of drive would be using it in more of a mobile environment, and so would need a case like this.It has a sleeve pocket inside for the usb cable, and fits the drives snugly, with a solid zip to open and close.Think of it as comparable to the thinner plastic or silicone cases for a mobile phone, rather than the Otterbox styled cases.

If you need something simple and effective look no further I've used WD products before and found them very effectiveThis is the size of a 3.5 inch floppy drive (for those that can remember them lol ).Price is very reasonabledelivery was quicklooks niceworks wellonly reason I gave a four star rating is the fact you have to buy a case separately things like this should have a case as standard (just another way of companies sucking more money out of you, years ago cases for electrical carry items came with a case as standard even if it was a naff colour)Mike

If you are looking for a case that protects against falls this isnt the case for you.I got this case for scratch protection and to keep the cable safe so i wont lose it as this is a thin non solid case.The zip wont scratch the drive and there is a small pocket for the cable so it doesnt scratch it as wellI used it on my passport 500gb, 2tb, ultra 3tb and the new version my passport 4tb fits perfectly for all of them didnt have any problems with it but like i said this is a case to prevent scratchs only if you want a solid/semi sold case this isnt for you

This is a soft fabric pouch. It does what I want it to, namely keeps my drive and cable together and protected against minor bumps and scratches when travelling, while not adding any significant weight. Doesn't protect against any sort of major trauma, however.Regarding storage for the cable, it does have a pocket that will stop the plugs from scratching the drive, but not a completely separate compartment. I find that the cable has to be stowed quite carefully to avoid awkward and unsightly bulges.

Bought this along with a WD My Passport Ultra 2tb and it fits ok but i get the impression it is only designed to hold the device and not the cable along with it. Although there is an internal pocket for the cable it is a very tight fit once it is inside. I had to stretch it hard to do the zip up on it. It might stretch a little bit after use perhaps. A nice, quality item that just needs a few extra mm! Still totally usable though.

It fits very snugly. A bit too snug though! If I could make just one critism to the manufacturer, it needs to be slightly larger all round. It does fit the product, but with a squeeze. I'm always aware of avoiding any scratches to the unit when sliding the product back into the case, as the zipped edge has to be pulled tightly over the unit to zip it closed!

Nice little case for the portable hard drive, it's a snug fit leaving just enough room for the USB cable to fit into the pocket on the inside, for those unsure it is a soft case, I was expecting a hard case (should have probably done my research on what neoprene is) but it's a nice case and would recommend buying to protect it from everyday household use

Arrived in good time, well packaged, fits the hard drive well. My only comment is that it isn't padded & the internal pocket for the cables allows it to touch the hard drive casing, but this hasn't caused an issue so far.The case is made of a tough neoprene-like material and the zip is good.All in all, I'm happy with my purchase!
