Excellent pan.I've used it on gas stove and in the oven and it's performed really well.It heats up quite fast, and needs a surprisingly low flame to keep it simmering - it's hard to turn the gas down low enough without it going out! It also holds the heat for ages. For most vegetables, I drop them into the boiling liquid after taking it off the heat, put a towel over and leave for 5-10 minutes and they're done perfectly. Using it that way really cuts down on the heating time.It is really heavy. So if you have any weakness in your wrists you may struggle to lift this, especially if it's full of liquid. It's ok if you have hold of the little handle on the other side as well. But pouring out can be a bit tricky, when you want both hands to hold the pan, but want a third hand to scrape things out with! The paint and ceramic are both still in perfect condition after about a year (but I am careful with it!). I'm happy, with no worries about metal or teflon contaminating my food. It looks good, too - the colour is really nice, love the change in shade of red.I would definitely consider Le Creuset again, if I buy more pans in the future.

This is a really nice saucepan - well-made and solidly built. However, be aware that the dimensions in the Product Description are variously wrong or misleading. The stated dimensions are 36.6 x 22.6 x 11.2 cm. The 36.6 cm from end of handle to opposite lip of saucepan is fine, though it's closer to 36 cm. The 22.6 cm bears no resemblence to anything I could measure on the saucepan. The stated 11.2 cm height seems to describe the height of the saucepan with the lid on but its knob removed (not a useful configuration!). I took it to be the usable height of the main body of the saucepan, which was perhaps a mistake. This latter measurement is 9 cm. To be fair, the rim diameter *is* 16 cm - but the internal diameter of the saucepan reduces from the rim downwards to a diameter of 14 cm.I have returned this 16 cm item and ordered the 18cm version.

I have recently returned to gas after 30 or so years of using electric ceramic hobs. This product is excellent in every way. Some might find it heavy but the lug makes it easy to carry with two gloved hands. It find it extremely responsive to changes in the flame and once it is up to heat it can stay there with the lowest flame in order to keep its contents simmering. I have found it easy to clean with soapy water but have not tried it in a dishwasher. The lug or lip enables the contents to be poured out easily. My appreciation of it led me to buy 16 and 20cm pans also.

I wanted this small saucepan to combine with others and complete a set. Le Creuset retailers in the high street no longer carry stocks of saucepns, so I was pleased to be able to purchase it via Amazon. Although delivery via Home Delivery Network (HDN) was pretty quick, I was not at home when it arraived and would have preferred to receive it in person. It would be usful to be able to see a rough delivery time via the order tracking facility on the HDN webiste.Quality of the saucepan is well up to the ususal Le Creuset standard.

I love Le Creuset. Although heavy, and sometimes you need someone to help you lift heavier items, the products heat the contents brilliantly. I love my food hot and, being made of cast iron, it remains hot on your plate for quite some time after serving. Also easy to clean and dishwasher safe. My tip would be to use wooden spoons for stirring though otherwise the inside scratches and marks the light interior.

A good quality item of kitchenware that has just replaced a similar item that has been in use for over thirty years. The latest one is of the same good standard of make which should do just as well. The old one had a pouring spout for draining that this one lacks and made us consider if we should buy one or not, however, it has proved easy to use.

I am using this pan on an induction cooktop and it works really well, with food heating up evenly. My experience with it (having used it on low-medium temperature settings only) is that the enamel coating has a nearly non-stick quality. That makes it a breeze to clean as well. Delighted with this purchase.

A very nice little sauce pan/milk pan. It's a shame that Le Creuset remains the most expensive of the cast iron. I bought it to replace a very old one (more than 20 years) that had been dropped and was damaged as a result (cracking the enamel). I use this almost every day.

If you like good cookware then there is only one saucepan to buy. OK, it's true, you need the strength of Goliath to lift it - especially when full - but it's versatile, all but non stick, and, minor point but, looks good on the table.

You know what you're getting with these. I almost took a start off because I still can't do much more than scramble an egg or warm a tin of beans but I suppose that's not the pan's fault!

Excellent cookware. Have most of the set of these pots and also caseroles, pie dishes, soup bowls etc. etc. Only very disappointed that you cannot obtain the Zen Kettle here in the UK.

Nothing to dislike, always wanted to own one and wasn't disappointed! Just be aware they are heavy to handle, so not suitable if you have a weak wrist, otherwise; wonderful!

Although this is quite heavy it is great for cooking our morning porridge. We have also noticed it cooks rice much more evenly than our normal saucepans.
