To be honest, i didnt expect much from such a cheap item and i wasn't dissapointed. The cover doesn't really "cap" the end of the lens, it just "snaps into" the inside ring of it in two places. With the slightest of pressure, the cover lifts either side of these pinch points and falls off. It works perfectly well as a simple dust cover, but it provides no more protection that that. As i say "you get what you pay for"..
