This game ROCKS! EA have yet again done their homework and pulled out yet another classic guaranteed to start many a rumble in your own living room (and others). The realism is the game is pretty damn good, with each boxer's style and attributes near-perfectly presented, from the legendary lighweights right through the classic middleweights of the '70/80's and heavyweights both old and new, though we could have done with Tyson, Hearns and Foreman, as well as our very own Barry McGuigan, who provides his cheeky commentary during some of the most famous title bouts of all time. Original arenas are carefully recreated to provide the stage for some of the meanest matchups history never gave us!An obligatory hip hop soundtrack booms throughout, with a workable, crafted menu system guiding one around the range of customization and options from key rules, to training and developing your fighter's skills and deficiences as your work towards defending that hard-earned crown. The presentation is usual, formulaic EA style.Playability can also be a little slow and frustrating (particularly with those heavingweights) but the simulation still runs smoothly without.Definitely one to tucked away for any true boxing fan.

This edition to the series is the best yet( not including KOK2002,as I have not yet played on it).It is also a deeper and more realistic game than any of the other boxing titles, such as Prince Nasseem Boxing,or any of the ready2rumbles. This is partly due to its official licence and to its developers EA,which i would like to thank for making this game and i am looking forward to playing KOK2002.However i think it could be improved further by more fluent movement and more varieties of punches which i think can be achieved on the PS2 and Xbox for the KOK2002 edition.

The answer is probably. I am a great fan of boxing and this is brilliant 'fun'. It is really not that much different from KK2000.It just seems that EA are churning out too many games and not really concentrating on making the game more interesting with graphics and more of a competition feel to it. how about some money aspects in the game? The graphics, however, are good but the audience look static and flat. All round though it feels good and looks good - perhaps 3 stars then.
